This was NO easy job and they had to do it for BOTH engines. They have Hauled us out, Winterized, Wrapped AND DELIVERED our boat for the past 5 years. For the past 5 years including YESTERDAY they have launched us. We have needed work done in the past where they have hauled our boat out from our mooring, Fixed it and brought it back. Not many companies I know do that. They are AMAZING, FANTASTIC, AWESOME, And FAIR PRICED. If you have been around boats all your life, you know that repairs take time. It's not like going to a car dealership with 25 guys on staff to cater to your every need. When you find a Marine Mechanic that does great work, you hold on tight to them and treat them like GOLD. If your boat is your baby then treat the man taking care of your baby WELL. If you are a RUDE A**HOLE then please expect the same treatment in return. The guy ranting in the review below seems to be one of those guys. DEMANDING service but not being extremely clear of what he wants. You are a grown individual. You have the choice to go somewhere else if the mechanic will not give you an estimate or put things in writing for you. Verbal requests without written confirmation? That's on you!! He seems to purchase aftermarket Crap and then blames the mechanic when the boat runs poorly. We all know that if you buy CRAPPY parts to save money then you run the risk of your baby running CRAPPY. Don't expect any type of warrantee for aftermarket parts. That's only common sense. Your boat is a LUXURY item so expect to pay a FAIR price to maintain and fix it. If you pull your boat out late in the season, then you run the risk of temperatures dipping below freezing before the mechanic can get to your project. Then in the middle of a Pandemic this guy DEMANDS service AGIAIN. Honestly, where does this guy get off treating others this way? This company is wonderful and I recommend them as long as you are an intelligent person who knows how to treat others. Additionally, Please look at the other reviews for John A. He is not satisfied with ANYONE in the marine industry. Seems he is RUDE to everyone he comes in contact with.

He fit us in on an early morning excursion and we couldn't have asked for a better time. The weather was perfect and Capt Ted was like your favorite Uncle, great with the kids, full of funny jokes and interesting facts as we boated around the Essex River and Cape Ann. The boat is no frills but has a private bathroom down below with some seating and one comfy rotating chair up top. Be prepared to stand or sit on your cooler that you should bring. The cooler with food & drinks is the only thing you need to bring. He supplies the fishing stuff (poles, bait, etc) I would suggest you bring your own life vests if you have them. Kids must wear them at all times. At our first stop, my son caught a gigantic fish! Sadly that was the only one of the day. Capt Ted was kind enough to filet it for us. We took it home and grilled it and it was delicious! We also checked 2 lobster traps but no lobsters, in there (boo!) but we saw some cool looking crabs and horseshoe crabs. Parking isn't great as you have to drop your stuff off at the boat ramp behind some apartments and then park down the street.

Ted, the captain and owner, contacted me immediately and assured me that we would have a fun, educational, relaxing and beautiful day on the river. He did not disappoint! Ted is incredibly knowledgeable of the area and its deep history. He played wonderful music and taught us how to fish! By then end I might have even been more hooked than my hubs. And yes, we caught a big one! What was most surprising was the stunning terrain. I never expected a river to look like that. Gorgeous marshes, birds and fish everywhere, sandbars and beaches....I cannot wait to go back and bring my 9 year old.

Can't say enough about how kind these people were and what a great family business it is if you're visiting town and looking to rent, rods bait, etc. I highly recommend the shop. The owners are incredibly friendly and incredibly helpful and Darlene has the cutest Boston accent! All regional accents are going vanilla so hurry up and go visit Darlene.
