Holy Cow...where do I start. To say it was a NIGHTMARE dealing with this outfit does a disservice to nightmares... I've been a rental property owner for around 15 years, so this ain't my 1st rodeo in dealing with insurance agencies. I dealt with a guy named Brad (who I was told "is not here anymore for just these situations") who pitched this "surplus lines" insurance policy to me. He waited SO long that we got near the cancellation policy with Seneca (who left the state of Colorado) that I had little choice but to run with it. Welp...the FIRST question you should ask your agent is, "is this a SURPLUS LINES carrier", because if they are, you are in for one massive headache! I just found out they are outside DORA jurisdiction, so if they want to send you a final policy 3 months later that says "there is a minimum 25% earned premium fee" they're free to do that, in fact DORA has heard of carriers adding ONE HUNDRED PERCENT fee if they feel like it! Where Pikes Peak Insurance Agency failed me MISERABLY is that NO ONE informed me of this, up front, NOR did they tell me that this "Hudson Specialty Insurance" outfit come along MONTHS later, do an inspection and then completely REMOVE my roof coverage, then rub salt in the wound by sending me TWENTY TWO STINKING DOLLARS back as a "premium refund"!!! Now, think for a minute...what is the NUMBER ONE thing ANY homeowner files a claim over? That is simple...it's HAIL. And they offered my 0.5% of my overall premium to take probably SEVENTY FIVE % of my insurance exposure away!!! Again, IF Pikes Peak Insurance would have been professionals and DISCLOSED this up front I would have said "are you high?!" and RUN to another carrier! They didn't. And it turned into a mad scramble to flush this carrier down the toilet as soon as I could reach the handle. Nice job folks...you got me. Now it's YOUR turn for a black eye... read more

I cant say enough about the excellent service we receive from Pikes Peak Insurance! 1st of all, they are the only one's in 20 years to bet USAA! Outstanding savings!! 2nd it doesn't matter the time of day I call I get immediate help to my 100% satisfaction. Just today I went to rent a vehicle and forgot a copy of my insurance.
