My computer fan was making all kinds of noises (basically dying). I called several places and 2 got back to me. The first one, could not tell you who, told me the fan was built-in to the hard drive and could not be replaced. Bummer! The second to call was Erik from Pikesville PC. He wanted me to drop my computer off. He works out of he home. At first it was a little awkward (don't know why because I also work out of my home) but it turned out to be a good call. When my hard drive crashed, I called several computer repair places, and Erik returned my call right away. He was upfront about his diagnosis and cost, which was reasonable. He was able to take my computer that very day and estimated a 2-day turnaround. Much to my surprise, Erik finished within five hours, not two days, and he was able to salvage the files on my old hard drive.
