Communication throughout the process was poor, and I was rarely informed about the status of my laptop. In the end, I was simply told that the motherboard was damaged and the laptop could not be repaired. If I just wanted a second opinion that my laptop was broken, I could have gotten one much much faster and at no cost. The experience cost me both time and money, and I was left frustrated by the lack of timely updates and clear communication. I can't comment on the quality of their repair work since no repair was performed, but based on my experience, their communication and turnaround time need significant improvement.

It was completed in a couple of days at which point we picked it up, took it home and discovered that the power button no longer worked. She returned immediately to UTX where the owner informed her that, yep it's broken and "I didn't do it". He then offered to giver her an estimate to repair it if she left it with him! So her cosmetic repair has become a disabling issue thanks to the ineptitude of UTX.
