Recently moved to this side of town and I was shocked by how much I love this place. What a different experience from the studio I attended in South Beach! Not only do they answer their phones but when you enter, they smile and go out of their way to help you. The instructor I had was Callie and she is incredibly patient, easy to follow and provided the perfect workout. I admit I am sore but I really enjoyed my first class and look forward to returning on Friday. Miami customer service is always horrible ... this is the not the case here!! I've already met the owner, Shana and her terrific son, Ozzie. I stopped by on Tuesday, signed up immediately with Ozzie and took my first class the next day. Sign up took about 2 minutes and they have a great intro package!! Only issue is the online platform but hey, they answer their phones so it doesn't matter! Oh and Ozzie said to call him and he'll help me fix the app. Wow!! This place is everything I would ever ask for in a business/ studio!!! If you need a new workout, you're tired of rude customer service or instructors that you cannot understand... I highly recommend you try this studio!!! read more

Reformer, mat & cadillac classes are all available. The pricing is excellent. The classes are outstanding. There are several different trainers, some of whom are fast paced and some of whom are more focused on attention to detail. All are professional and well trained. As someone who has gone through instructor training courses, I can tell you that to do Pilates correctly, you must have guidance. Staff at Pilates on the Beach find a way to give personal corrections even in group settings. Sharp eyes and insightful advice help make these the best trainers in Miami. Everyone I have encountered at the business is kind and accommodating. The location is convenient and parking is available at meters a half a block away. I rarely give a business five stars, but Pilates on the Beach deserves it. read more

I've always enjoyed classes here, but I had a class with Waleuska today. She doesn't do well with the ADD client or allowing alternative moves or exercises. People were scolded like first graders. I wish you could help instructors instead of locations. I won't return to her class. read more

This place is great for many reasons: -The instructors are well trained and really know pilates -Instructors are very friendly and make everyone feel comfortable and welcome -I instantly felt comfortable here - The studio is very small but they keep the air at a perfectly cool temperature -I had to deduct one star because the reformers are too close together and sometimes you hit your neighbor and they also seem too small for a tall person, sometimes I feel squished or like I'm going to fall off but that's not their fault :) Bottomline: This place is a great deal- good quality, friendly instructors at a decent price read more

I've gone to a couple group classes on the reformers. Instruction is too slow and too easy...seems to be geared towards older women who are not too in shape. Even though I was clearly fit, never did an instructor suggest I add springs to suit my level of fitness. I was bored and did not get a work out :( The space is too tight. The reformers are too close together so that certain movements such as those where you open legs to each side, cant be done --you'd hit your neighbor. I love Pilates One in Coconut Grove and now I can say the two are completely different in every way. read more

I've been to this studio a few times with ClassPass, and I really enjoy it. I previously lived in the Grove and went to Pilates in the Grove, and I stumbled upon this when I learned that the owners use to work together. Overall, it's a nice studio that offers great classes. It really depends on what instructor you have the class with, as each one has their different style. I personally love taking classes taught by the owner as she is very understanding with modifications. I once had a class with another teacher and she wasn't the most friendly, as I had lower back pain and she kept asking me why I wasn't following along doing some of the more hard core exercises. She was a little aggressive in saying that unless we had a back injury like a herniated disc, we had to go all out. I just stopped taking classes with her and went to other instructors. The other thing I noted is that the floors are sometimes dusty under the reformers. Other than those two things, the classes are really engaging, and I always leave feeling very accomplished. Although I've only been going once in a while, I do feel like it's helped improve my back pain. read more

So my lucky number 4, 4th try here and I found an instructor who redeemed this place to a five star review. Maria is her name! She is awesome! Very attentive and even tho the class isn't easy she will make sure nobody gets hurt. I really wanted to like this place BC of the location the parking etc but the first instructors I had there led me to my previous 2 star review, thank God (or Maria?) now I know better when to come for a class :) what a great start of my weekend! I like it that they have snacks and water for sale there too. BC sometimes u know a girl gotta eat! Anyways the jump board class with Maria is the way to go! Not for me! $85 for a private pilates class in a dirty 8 x 10' room where you can hear everything from the group class going on next to you? The instructor was probably fine but it's really hard to focus w/all the noise going on around you. The group class sounded like a gym instructor yelling out steps to a fitness class. Not at all what I think of when I think of pilates. I must be spoiled by Lighthouse Pilates in Pacific Grove, CA! Open space, so clean you could eat off the floor ot the equipment, fresh air if you want to open a window, and blessed quiet for concentration! Nice location off 51st and alton. Balanced body reformers (pretty standard). I've only taken classes from Kristin (reformer and ballet barre). She is a good instructor and takes time to make corrections as needed. She asks prior to class if anyone has any injuries that she should be aware of (important and says a lot in my opinion). The studio itself is ok. The floors are kind of dirty (noticed that during ballet barre class). The classes are a little pricier than elsewhere on the beach and I wish they offered better packages (usually you get a better discount if you buy in bulk which isn't the case here, also the do not offer an unlimited monthly package). Hopefully they will offer jumpboard in the future. Overall, I would recommend this studio and will return. read more

This Pilates studio is wonderful. The location is very easy to get to and not in a busy area. The parking is right in the front of the studio. Now lets get to the good stuff. The lighting is right. The vibe and music is just right. Instructors are great. I have no complaints worth checking out. They even have classes on Sunday when most studios are closed. That is a plus. read more

Great Pilates studio! The place isn't too big which makes the reformer classes feel more private with a lot of one-on-one time. Teachers are very knowledgeable and make sure to give each student the right amount of personal attention, correcting your form etc. Especially love Kristin's classes! I love this place! I have done some form of exercise for well over 30 years but I always lose interest and get bored after a while. I started going to Pilates on the Beach in January 2011 and I've been going 3x a week religiously. Their new space on 51st street is a nice improvement on the smaller studio on 41st. Street. But at either location, no two classes are ever the same. Every instructor is extremely professional and attentive. I am relatively fit and youthful but I am truly amazed at the changes in my body from regular Pilates. And everything about Pilates on the Beach has made it possible for me to stick with it on a regular basis. read more
