Second class in and I was NOT ready -- in the best way I spotted Pulse Fitness across the street from Club Pilates and figured I'd give them a try. This was only my second Pilates class ever, so I had no idea what I was walking into. Turns out I walked into the abs and glutes class of all abs and glutes classes. Lauren is tough -- but the kind of tough that keeps you going because she makes it fun and challenging at the same time. I wanted to quit and keep going all at once, which I think means she's doing something right. Beyond the workout itself, the studio was spotless, the energy in a full class was great, and the music kept the vibe going the whole time. Really impressive first experience here. I've attended this studio multiple times, so I'm not a new client, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I arrived about five minutes late to class and realized there was an issue with my ClassPass booking. I completely understood the situation and even offered to pay on the spot or after class since there was still space available. What was unacceptable was how it was handled. I was asked to leave in a very dismissive and public way, with the instructor opening the door and signaling for me to get out in front of the entire class. It felt degrading and completely unnecessary. This wasn't about policy-I respect policies. It was about the way a paying, returning client was treated. I also followed up via email and never received a response, which only adds to the disappointment. There is a way to enforce rules while still treating people with respect. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. read more

My favorite HIIT Pilates studio in Miami. Awesome trainers (literally all of them) and workout sets that will make you sweat and tone your body nicely. Studio is clean and the reformers are in excellent condition. I've seen amazing results in my core strength and hip flexibility ever since joining. The class is 50 minutes and full body. Great music and flow. You have to try it out. PS- arrive 5-10 mins early to set up on your machine and ease into the class. read more

I came here today and I really loved it. I love the ambience in there and how dark it was in there. I really like darker workout spots just because I don't really like watching other people and don't like being watched. In addition, I thought the girl who taught the class was a phenomenal teacher and I also like to she corrected the forms. Pulse fitness is a Pilates studio in South Miami. I have been trying to add Pilates into my workout rotation and two of my coaches at F45 started coaching here so I gave it a try. I've gone to three classes here and I really enjoy them! It's one of those more intense cardio Pilates classes, and you leave knowing you worked muscles in your body that you didn't even know existed. It's super challenging, but the coaches help you with modifications that help you to "pulse it out" as they say. Parking is available on the street, and the studio is super clean. Pulse has a different energy than your average studio. It is high energy and fun. Marie Lou is a fantastic instructor. I was sweaty and sore when I was done. I definitely felt that I was able to make the most of my time in class. They have also started hosting a monthly yoga in the park series to allow members to connect. Ive taken 20+ classes at this studio and it's been worth every penny honestly. I love the set up of one row of reformers, the low lighting, the instructions are always clear with a few seconds heads up demonstration prior to the next move. in addition, if there is a new move being introduced in class they do it BEFORE the class starts and again during class so that everyone is on the same page. I'm an ER physician , so my schedule varies a lot but they have so many time slots available throughout the week that it's easy to fit in a class. I have taken several classes with different instructors, and they are all fantastic. That said, my favorite classes are usually with Gaby M. Every time I take a class with Gaby M. the classes are intense, and she really pushes you to work harder and push yourself during class, but more importantly she is constantly making sure your form is correct so you're using the right muscles for the best possible workout while avoiding injury. Overall, the classes are intense, and combination of HIIT style workouts with intense Pilates. They've also started incorporating themed music classes and 10/10 love that. Overall I love this studio and come here frequently, the workouts are always intense, and kudos to the men/women who come here multiple times a week because man you feel it the next day. I alternate between CrossFit and Pilates and I love that pulse is a more high intensity workout than a traditional Pilates studio. The coaches are knowledgeable and there to help encourage you to push yourself, give modifications if needed and adjust improper form. The studio has dim lighting so you don't need to be embarrassed if you're a newbie and the music is alway a nice curated playlist. I love that they're always having membership and class package sales so I've been able to get a few of my friends to join with me! I have an unlimited membership so I get to bring one free guest a month to try out with me and I also really appreciate that. Like any Pilates studio there is a cancellation fee for classes, I've just learned to book my class the morning of because for some reason when your a mom your emergencies only happen at 6am before a Pilates class lol. My husband and I came across Pulse on our ClassPass and immediately signed up. We checked the website FAQs prior to class and loved that they mentioned that men are welcome. We signed up for total body sculpt with Jenn who is also the founder. The studio is very aesthetically pleasing with lighted mirrors, special reformers and dimmed lighting. Jenn introduced herself and gave us a couple of helpful tips before jumping into the workout. This workout is challenging but Jenn is a great instructor. Both my husband and I were sweating immediately. Looking forward to coming back very soon. Love it here!! I have been coming here since the first week they opened and made it a priority to schedule a class here once or twice a week! What I love most about training here is that if you're not doing an exercise properly the coaches come around and correct your form so that you avoid possible injury! They are all so nice and make sure you feel motivated during the class as well, which is helpful because it's CHALLENGING! Lol I have brought a few friends in as well who have never done Pilates/Lagree before and unlike other studios they don't make them feel awkward or out of place, they're determined to making everyone feel good! Update on my horrible experience; The owner responded to my yelp review with basically a FAQ/info you can find anywhere. The owners excuse- "you arrived over 5 minutes late and we lock the door to prevent disruptions in class" But what happened was the owner (knowing that I've been on a megaformer because I'm a member of an elite studio) never ever told me to come 10 minutes early, as I stated before in my last yelp review, she was the one messaging me on the Pulse Instagram days prior. But the BIGGEST thing, was that not only did she open the door during her teaching session, she stood there for a minute talking to me and calling me out while she had her microphone on! The ENTIRE class heard me. And meanwhile she's still talking to me while the class is in their one exercise lol. If you've ever done modern reformer pilates you know that's not how it goes. So thank you Jenn for embarrassing me in front of the class, hearing me out about my hour drive, listening to me tell you I'd have to sit for another hour in traffic, and then saying I can always come back lol. read more
