Also, Ms. Melissa Gibbs is a very mean person and she teaches at the school. She is irate and unstable, and I would not want my kid in her class.

A state audit has revealed that since Rutgers joined the Big 10 in 2014, the athletic department has hemorrhaged more than a half billion dollars. Forget grading in a curve, Rutgers and their cheerleader fan boys in Trenton get a well deserved F. I won't even even embarrass them further by pointing out their 52-93 won/loss record since 2014. I took time from work to attend and arrived at the site on time. First, the instructor (Daniel Scotti) never showed up. Second, I called the 800 number and was informed that the instructor had "car trouble" and the class was not going to be taught. Last, I was never contacted even though they had my cell number and email address. This organization is very unprofessional... go with the Red Cross or YMCA classes.

I was the only one taking the class so it went by pretty quickly. The instructor is so nice and really explains each topic well. She asks you questions to make sure you understand the content in order to apply it to the emergency situation. Her questions all help with the test at the end. She's friendly and approachable, so don't be afraid to ask questions! The mannequins have become more high tech from when I last did my BLS certification. There's an app that can measure the depth and rate you're performing your compressions. I think that's pretty cool! In terms of cleanliness/infection control, we were wearing masks. I only removed my mask momentarily when I was performing rescue breaths. All equipment was wiped down and disinfected after the course. Hand sanitizer was also available. I felt safe with the proper precautions taken. Overall, I highly recommend getting your certification done here! The whole experience was pleasant.

They are happy, thriving, learning, and enjoying every moment of their time here. Whenever we have had a concern or an issue to address, we have always felt heard and supported. The school has been incredibly responsive, and action has been taken immediately whenever needed. Our children have also participated in the Spanish Immersion program, and we have been amazed by how well they are learning and speaking the language. We are especially impressed by how much they have learned at such a young age--even being able to write their names and many different words in Spanish. The teachers are absolutely wonderful: caring, kind, professional, and incredibly attentive to the children's individual needs, behaviors, and development. Their dedication and genuine love for what they do are evident every day. I would also like to highlight the school's leadership. The administration is always willing to listen, support us, and help with anything we may need. We truly feel that our children are in a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment. Honestly, everything about the Guidepost Montessori Somerset has been extraordinary. Our one-year-old daughter just started this month, and the staff have been incredibly sweet and attentive with her. From day one, I received plenty of photos and updates showing exactly what she was doing throughout the day. That level of communication made me feel so much more at ease, especially as a parent leaving a little one in someone else's care for the first time. In just a short time, she's already learning to spoon-feed herself and is showing so much more independence while exploring and walking around with confidence. Our four-year-old son has been attending for a couple of months now. He had been struggling with some behavioral challenges at his previous daycare, but since switching to Guidepost, we haven't had a single issue. The difference is night and day. The teachers here are clearly well-trained and experienced. They have a calm, confident presence and complete control of the classroom (which is no easy feat with a group of four-year-olds!). They keep the children engaged while also teaching valuable social skills, like how to play cooperatively, share, and respect personal space. In addition, our son has multiple food allergies and sensitivities, and the team at Guidepost has been exceptionally supportive and accommodating. They've gone out of their way to not only make sure his dietary needs are met, but to support me as a parent during what has been a tough transition to a new diet. I had to pull our 10 month old son, at the time, out of this facility. He was only there for 1 week. The teachers, if thats what you want to call them, were not suitable to take care of infants. Unresponsive, uncaring, and unhelpful behavior towards children. The plus, the cameras, at an additional expense, after a short period of time, showed us all the wrongdoings of the staff. We moved to another daycare and it seems like a whole new world. The additional cost for the camera access and lunch, on top of incompetent staff.......is a no brainer. Do not enroll here. We left here 1 year ago and couldn't be happier with our choice. All Lightbridge Academy daycares are not created equal. Much better locations not that far from this one.
