The owner of this Bakery ( I am assuming he was the owner) he was a sweet and very friendly man. He greeted us as soon as we walked in and asked how we were. My husband and him had a good little conversation while I grabbed the breads. We went pretty late so the options were limited but still plentiful to choose from. The choncha/ muffin bread my husband really liked, it was soft and delicious. The red one with the coconut ("Besos" I believe they're called) that was my favorite it was soft and sweet. I didn't try the gator looking one (Mexican Bigote) but it looked hard and felt a little harder than I'm used to! They also had some good little Mexican treats ** cash only, thanks to another review I read that stated that so I took my cash. read more

I love their candied fruits and pastries! Sometimes in the fall they have candied pumpkin. Amazingly cheap nd delicious pans dulces. The owners are also incredibly kind! I had to have my husband run down here to pay and instead of waiting for him, they said take the cake and your husband can come in and pay. Not many places will let you take a product without paying! You pick up a tray and tongs to pick out your baked goodies, made fresh daily. There are other items available in the "mini" store also. I was greeted with a bright smile and was offered any help I wanted. I chose 7 goodies then went to pay and I COULDN'T BELIEVE the total was less than $4. I'm sitting here having a pastry from Pilos and trying to think up words to express how awesome this little panaderia is. I'm Hispanic and grew up on the panadero truck rolling through our town with fresh breads. I missed it and found this little spot by accident when I was craving pan. I'm very shy and rarely ever get up the nerve to speak Spanish in public. I've been around when both English and Spanish-speaking customers have been in and love that the owner is universally friendly to everyone. This is a super plus on top of amazing pan that makes me miss home. I try to hit up this spot anytime we're at MoC grocery shopping as a treat. read more
