This location is one of my favorite. A few islands always clean. The parking lot is always clean after speaking with management. What is not standing out is there is never any coffee all three are empty and I know they always run out at the same time. This has been the third time no coffee. You let them know and the answer is the same did not know that. Apparently they sell lots of coffee and you would expect them to stay on top of this. The place is clean and easy to off and on. Plenty of people working. read more

This place is amazing! The smell of fresh food hits you in the nose as you walk in, and the restrooms are spacious. They have a self serve register which is a plus. If your traveling, I recommend this place to you, over others in the area. It can be challenging to get out of and reintegrate with traffic, but that doesn't impact my opinion of this fantastic place. The crown Jewell of Lufkin. read more

Bleary-eyed, with empty stomachs, and full bladders, we stopped here at two in the morning. To gas up, caffeinate, find some relief, and maybe, hopefully find a little something of somewhat decent sustenance to get us through the remaining miles. Just a couple of hours prior, we had been inside NRG Stadium in Houston bearing witness to the newly reformed Guns N' Roses, and absolutely electrified by their opener, Skrillex. And here we were now, here, in stark contrast, at this truck stop. Above us, a kind announcement to any and all truckers on site, that the showers there were now open, and without a wait! Bright and loud fluorescents also above us, buzzing, maybe hissing. Continually breaking the twilight silence, and shattering the rural pitch blackness outside. Inside, there were surprisingly vibrant and helpful employees. There is a Moe's Southwest Grill that was also surprisingly open. The store, and its restrooms were shockingly, surprisingly clean, and not at all representing the normal filth and stench that are your typical truck stop facilities. Especially, during the hour that we visited. As equally as shocking, was how fresh and clean, all of the toppings and condiments were at Moe's. And again, at the hour we were visiting. Not only was Moe's open, they were seemingly ready for inspection! And the employees there, as in the Pilot, were as professional and friendly as you could ever hope for, especially at 2-2:30am! Bravo Pilot! Bravo Moe's! You adhered to all of our traveling wants and needs, and gave up enough oomph to carry on down the road to our final destination. Nice job, and a job well done!
