This place was quiet and the staff were friendly, they came out to greet us when we arrived. We had a pull through with a concrete pad. It barely fit our 45' motorcoach, length and width wise. We had to park our tow vehicle perpendicular on the very edge of the pad. There were puddles everywhere and when it rained overnight, they turned into big, deep puddles, even the grass was flooded. The turns are pretty tight, when it was time to leave, we opted to back out of our spot, luckily we were on the end. We were afraid we would get stuck in the mud. Maybe this place would be better in the summer when it's dry and if you have a smaller RV. read more

I am a retired veteran of the US Navy and stayed at Pine Crest for a few months. Overall the park is okay, the only good amenities there are that there is a fishing and its pretty quiet. The owner Chuck Bordelon is very intrusive and doesn't know boundaries. I was told to leave and was given a park violation that didn't specify what the violation was. Chuck and I had a few disagreements when it came to my certified service animal due to my service connected disability. When he "thought" she was a Pitbull I told him she wasn't and provided proof from the Pearl River APCA. Even with proof from the SPCA, her paperwork from USA Dogs he then asked what my disability was. I told him it was non of his business and the only two questions he is required to ask is 1. Is she a service animal and 2. What tasks do they perform. So after providing all the information he sent me and email highlighting no Pitbull's or Rottweilers, again I had provided her paperwork along with her chip number to verify. Regardless by federal law he cannot discriminate against a service animal but he did. My life was turned upside down, through divorce and retirement from the Navy and all i wanted to be is left alone. I am currently in talks with an attorney to handle this matter but if you read this i would go else where. Salt Bayou next door is veteran owned and they stay out of your business. That wasn't the only issue, I had spoken with a few tenants there and they said he made them feel uncomfortable with some of the interactions they had with him. All were female, so if you are a lady don't take his kindness for granted. I told the 3 ladies I spoke with to make sure and leave an honest review but I am unsure if they are. Below is the email and proof to show I'm not just blowing smoke up anyone's behind. Her original name was Reesie but we changed it because the kids loved the name Willow. Also look at other reviews and see how he comes back and is a asshole to some of the tenants that make low reviews about the park. just like this one when i post this. read more

Heading home from a month in Florida, we stayed here two nights. Ran into New Orleans one day, which was fun. I was promised there was plenty of room for our 44' unit....but barely. We had a "premium" pull through that barely held us. We had to park the truck at an angle, forcing us to park in the swamp grass. The roads inside the park are very narrow with tight corner and there are many trees. It's an older park, nothing to write home about. If we are in this area, we probably won't stay here again. read more

All the owner cares about is money and doesn't care about anything else he will make you get rid of the things you love the most everybody is mosey around the park except for very few people who mind their own business he will raise rent unexpectedly he will also go around asking about others trying to get info on other people he never does stuff the legal way read more

Stayed here for four days and enjoyed it a bunch. The inter net was strong. Park was very clean also. Sight was very easy to get into. Was a pull thru. One day it rained hard one day and some of the roads don't drain off all the way. read more

They are breed snobs when it comes to some dog breeds. But it if fine for people to let some of their little dogs just run wild and not on leashes. Another issue and is disgusting that 95% of the people with dogs just let their dogs use the bathroom (poop) in all the grassy areas and never pick up behind them. Kinda hard for kids and people to do anything in the grassy areas due to this. Looks like a nice campground till you start looking closer at things while there. Would not be one I would recommend and would only stay here if it was last resort and no other places to stay with my camper and family. read more

We loved our stay at Pine Crest! The location in the trees was lovely and very quiet. The park is clean, with good laundry facilities, ample parking for extra vehicles and wifi. The owner and staff were accommodating and helpful with spot-on local dining suggestions and things to do/see. We extended our stay by one day and they graciously accommodated our last minute change. Wish we could have stayed longer, but the road calls! read more

Have lived in the rear section of Pine Crest for over 6 months now. A manufactured home facing the lake which is on the property and full of fish. Serenity at it best. Quiet and peaceful. Chuck and his staff could not be nicer and friendliness pours out of them in all dealings. Renting the land that the homes sits on is reasonable considering all of the freebies you get, water, sewerage, garbage pickup, etc. Very inexpensive insurance including flood without all the hassles. I wish I would have made the move years ago. A must see especially for a retired person or couple. read more

I can't say enough about Chuck and his staff at Pinecrest RV Park. My sister and I had to make an unexpected trip to New Orleans to care for our ailing brother. Unfortunately, it was Mardi Gras season so finding an RV park to stay in was extremely difficult. At the beginning we managed to get reservations for the first 10 days of an open-ended trip but after that there were no available sites anywhere within 100 miles of New Orleans. Knowing we were there on a mercy mission rather than for Mardi Gras fun, Chuck and his staff managed to juggle reservations around - without canceling anyone else's reservations - to accommodate us for the entire five and a half weeks we ended up needing to be there. And as if that wasn't enough, Chuck pointed out the best routes to take to the various places we had to go, what areas to stay away from, instructed us on how to stay safe in New Orleans and told us how to get to various establishments such as grocery stores, etc. in Slidell. He was truly our guardian angel. I highly recommend this RV park for a lot of other reasons, too. It's convenient to the interstate as well as to lots of services in Slidell, it's close to the Mississippi gulf coast and an easy drive to New Orleans. The park has level, paved sites, Wi-Fi, lots of antenna channels, propane, a very nice, clean laundry facility, and an incredibly helpful staff. We felt very safe there. We just can't thank Chuck and his staff enough for all they did for us. read more

Chuck and his staff are absolutely wonderful! We would recommend this RV park to everyone for so many reasons: their hospitality, their safe but convenient location just off I-10 (convenient to services galore in Slidell [WalMart, Best Buy, Office Depot, Firestone, banks, Goodwill, Verizon and AT&T stores, restaurants, Rouse's Grocery Store, and Walgreen's as well as the Mississippi Gulf Coast and Laurel] and a safe place that is an easy drive to New Orleans), their paved spaces, their spotless laundry room, and their willingness to help us in whatever way they could. My sister and I had to make an unexpected trip to New Orleans, where our brother lives, to take care of him for what we thought would be three weeks at the most. Instead, we had to stay for nearly five weeks. Since our visit coincided with the run-up to Mardi Gras and Mardi Gras itself, we could only get reservations at Pine Crest for the first week of our stay. Once Chuck met us and learned what our mission was, he found a way to keep us in his RV park for the entire six weeks we needed to be there. He and his staff had to juggle other reservations to take care of us, and they managed to do it without cancelling anyone else's reservations. Not only that, Chuck made sure we knew which areas of New Orleans to avoid, drew us maps, and gave us directions to our brother's house and to every place we needed to go for services in Slidell. And Chuck still felt badly that he couldn't help us more!!! In our opinion, he and his staff went way above and beyond the call of duty to help us, and we will never be able to thank them enough! read more

Stayed a couple of times as I pass thru. The staff is friendly and helpful, and checking-in after hours is not a problem. Sites are level concrete pads, but the ground around them does getting mucky quick (you are at sea level). The mini swamp in the back of the park allows for wildlife viewing. read more

At $45 per night this was not a good value. We only stayed one night and it is the type of park that we would only use as a one night stay on our way elsewhere. The pull through was barely long enough to include our tow vehicle and the turns inside the park are VERY tight. I will say however that the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a battery issue with our tow vehicle and they had someone over to our campsite quickly to help. We would still consider stopping in the future but only as a one night stop. read more

I stayed here for 3 months while I was looking for a home in the area. Chuck is very helpful. I felt safe and never had a issue. I had a lakefront lot and it was beautiful seeing the wildlife. Just wish the office staff (older staff members) were a little more cordial. I had medication sent every month and it would have been nice to be notified when a priority package came in. Just a little "peeve". Just also wished that they had get togethers for the full timers as well as vacationers around the holidays. read more

Called to make reservation, the lady asked what kind of trailer and how many nights and when I informed her we broke down and it may be more than one night she said right away "sorry we're booked solid, we have no spaces". Then why was she asking me questions if that was the case? read more

Was fooled by the WIFI sign out front. We arrived shortly after a storm so the place was saturated with water. HArd to get out of the RV without getting our feet wet since the sites were rather narrow. Bath houses were clean and acceptable. Laundry faicility was fine, office workers were helpful. A nice place, we just were there at the wrong time. read more
