At first, we were a little bit disappointed there was no indoor seating as it was 98% outside, but there was a covered picnic area, which was better than eating in the car. Also, there is no bathroom here, only a port-o-potty (just so you know). On the other hand, our food came out quickly. My fried haddock basket was quite good with plenty of fresh and flaky fish, tartar sauce, an excellent cole slaw and those kind of coated fries that make them extra bumpy and crispy. Overall, a surprisingly good stop for a meal in a place where you don't have a whole lot of options!

There happened to be live music during our visit, and the musician was great! The bartender (owners daughter in law) told us everything was authentic Mexican and homemade by her mother in law- and we did realize that wasn't the full truth when we received our food. It was ok, served warm- not hot. Considering it is small town Calais, it was nice to see a newish restaurant, but I don't know if we will go back next time we visit.
