The shoes weren't ready on pick up day and I had to return the next day. When I received it, there were scuff marks everywhere, discoloration, it looked like it had gone through the wringer. My new boots looked rough and worn and I was devastated. The suede had so many areas of rubbing where it wore through and I could see the underlining. Do not go here for things you value. Mari was gone for a week so I went to check other places. Got quoted $80.00 to well over $100.00 to sew in a new zipper. I waited for Mari to return and SO glad I did. She told me she keeps a parts jar and to come back in about 15 minutes for a quote. When I returned she had FIXED the original zipper (no one else gave me this option) and charged me 17 dollars. She's very nice and helpful, I don't know why other reviewers were complaining. I was a little scared based on some of those reviews but once I met her or even called on the phone she was friendly. I got a pair of pants hemmed for $15 which is the best price I could find. I'm currently getting a skirt waist taken in for $25. I'm really pleased with her work and will continue to come as long as I'm here in Bellevue.

However, when I go to a tailor, and that is their only speciality, I expect that business to provide a certain level of quality and expertise. I don't care if language is a barrier, the workmanship should speak for itself. Bad points: 1. The shop smells like cigarettes. 2. I went there to have a basic denim dress taken in and had to spend time going back multiple times to fix errors that would never have happened with a trained professional with experience. - The waist has overlapping seams. - There is now a pleat over one pocket but not the other. - The tucks on the back end at different points and are not finished, so they will pull and open if I bend over. - The bust area is not smoothly sewn, so it sits weird. So so sad, because I love this dress. 3. Having to keep coming back to fix the issues. Good points: 1. The lady is nice. 2. She didn't cut off any fabric, so I can go somewhere else and have it fixed. 3. She charged me fairly for my trouble. 4. The shop is close to where I live. I won't be back anytime soon. Sorry.

The cost on both occasions was far far less than I expected! The owners are super kind and friendly, easy to work with and very skilled at their craft.
