We order from here several times a month. With all the pizza places here in Sammamish, this is our favorite. The pizza is good and we like their Greek salad too. Their prices are a lot better than a lot of the other ones around here too. The wait has been longer now so add extra time when picking up your pizza. One bite, everyone knows the rules. Came across this pizza joint and I heard a lot of great things. Ordered a Large Cheese with a side house salad. The pizza is okay, the salad actually was my favorite out of the two things I ordered. The pizza has some good flavor to it in the sauce, I just like my crust to be done a little bit more. This was our first experience and it was disappointing. The order was wrong on one of the pizzas. They offered to remake the mistake, which had me waiting for another 20 minutes. Meanwhile, the other pizza got cold and the ice and ice cream in the car melted. I tipped prior to this experience and really wanted to take it back. Lesson learned... Pay after you verify the order is correct. Pizza was OK. Not great, not bad. The cold pizza was soggy. No idea if the crust is usually this limp or if it was due to the extra time in the box. I am a bit torn about this review. I would rank different parts of their business anywhere from 0-5 stars. This review is from my second time getting their pizza take out. We called in around 5:20 and asked if the pizza two pizzas to be ready at 6pm. They assured us that they would be ready. When we showed up at 6, and were told 20-30 more minutes. Great neighborhood pizza place. With not many dining options in Sammamish,and a choice of about 5 other pizza places, this is our go to for pizza night. The staff is always friendly,and while a lot of them are younger,I applaud a restaurant to hire at a younger age so teens can get a feel of being in the work place. Not only do they begin to learn the value of money, but also customer service, team work, duties and timelines,etc. My husband's go to pizza is the Meat Feast. It is packed full of meat. I'm less of a meat lover so I tend to go with the Margherita, and as a tip add some garlic baked into it. An item not on the menu is jalapeno cheese bread. So good! We visited on a Tuesday at 6pm and it wasn't busy. The location is not meant for dine in. There's a couple chairs if you choose to sit and wait for your order. I was asked to wait 10 minutes so I walked around QFC. Service was friendly. I grew up in New York eating meatball calzones so I ordered the meat feast calzone. At $8.99 it's a decent value since it's about a foot long and can be shared for 2 light meals. If I could suggest some improvements, increase the cheeses and put the marinara sauce on the side. In New York, they didn't put it inside so that gooey cheese was the highlight of each bite. And also it was dripping the sauce all over, making it messy to eat. I noticed the hand out menus had cheaper prices so I guess they raised them recently? Overall, a decent calzone. Wish it was a little cheaper and more cheese, but oh well. Extremely disappointed with the last couple pizzas from this pizzeria that used to be the best on the plateau. It's sad, that during this pandemic when we all want to support our local eateries, that Pine Lake Pizza just put a pizza that was clearly burnt (crust was black) in a box. This carry out order was 20 minutes late too which is typical for Pine Lake Pizza lately so I had to wait outside (trying to keep social distance). It was a busy Friday night and this pandemic has put a lot of pressure on small businesses like Pine Lake so you want to give them the benefit of the doubt but the quality of their pies is so noticeably worse each time that they've lost our business. read more

This place used to have great pizzas with generous toppings and prompt delivery. I have been patronizing them for 20 years. Something changed. Meagre toppings. Tasteless sauce. Well we always use Zeeks and thought maybe I would try Pine Lake Pizzeria for a change. Unfortunately I shouldn't have. I asked for 6pm delivery for Christmas party and the pizza's showed up at 6:41pm. Personally I don't think that's acceptable. I am very easy going, but man sakes that is ridiculous. Pleasantly surprised with how delicious the pizza was. I was a bit worried since they had a three star average review but they were excellent in handling my order and getting it on time. I ordered the Margherita and the chicken pesto and both were very tasty. The dough and ingredients were just right and they add a little bit of Italian herbs that give the pizza a great flavor. I was excited to see a pizza place so close to my kids' Tae Kwon do place. How convenient, right? Wrong! I did like the pizza. It was good. The staff- all polite high school kids. They were great. I have a huge problem with being charged to use my credit card. They had a sign taped to the register, but the boy rang me up on the other side so I didn't even see it. It says they will remove the charge if you ask. I asked what the charge was, because I didn't see the sign and the kid just said "yea it's one of our rules, unfortunately." He didn't offer to take it off. At that point my card already went through. I hope they enjoy the credit card fee they charged me, because they just lost the business of what could have been a weekly customer. read more

I feel like my taste buds must be paralyzed after reading the reviews of the great tasting crust. The crust texture was delightful but the flavor was similar to sucking on a cotton ball (yes, I did suck on a cotton ball for comparison). There was barely any sauce on my pizza so I had to scrounge around my refrigerator for something to add flavor. I will give this place another try being that the value and customer service is excellent and I am hoping it was an off night for this establishment. The medium pizzas are mammoth so unless you're feeding a tribe, I think a medium will fit your bill. This is legit some of the best pizza I've ever had. Their simple pies like the pepperoni and the plain cheese are infinitely better than any I've had, even Pagliacci which I also love. We have gotten the meats feast before which is great but tonight we got the chicken carbonara pizza and it was Incredible! I am surprised to be the first to write a review. This pizzeria is one of the better ones on the Eastside. I drive to the plateau from Issaquah to get their pie. Other than Tutta Bella, Issaquah does not have any good pizza. Flying Pizza seems to think that if they make their pizza weight a ton and add a lot of garlic the pizza will taste better. I know this pizza isn't the best. One gets this pizza because it is close by, reliable in quality, has tasty ingedients and the folks there are friendly. read more

Long time customer; one or two pizza nights a month going back to the days it was called Tony Maroni's. Always loved it (obviously) until last night. The only taste was in the toppings; the pie itself was dry, seemingly devoid of sauce and cheese and without any flavor. Honestly, it was like eating toppings on the cardboard box the pie came in. Which, come to think of it, might have been better. I think the lowest blow came from my wife who said that a pie at a work party that came from Papa Johns was far superior. Ouch. This place is so weird. The quality of ingredients from the 2 times we've ordered have been great. Fresh mushrooms, herby delicious pesto, fresh sauce, etc. The actual pizza crust however is just not good. It's bland & seriously lacking any flavor or pizazz. Even the cheese doesn't have that salty bite or ooey gooey goodness you usually get on a pizza. I want to like them. I want to support local business. But this is just bad. My kids actually said it was missing the salt & grease that they normally get with pizza. Yea, salt & grease is bad on the daily. But for the occasional pizza fix, they miss the mark. read more

We have just moved to the area and have tried every pizza place in town, trying to find our "go-to" pizza place. This place takes first place. I like my pizza to be balanced, not too much crust, not too many toppings, not too much sauce... Crust was on the thin side but not like cracker crusts. It was cooked thoroughly and had a nice crunch with a soft interior. The sauce was a tad sweet but not over powering. The toppings were fresh and plentiful. A truly decent pizza, even with the scarcity of choices here in Sammamish. I can't stand the super doughy sweet Papa John's pizza so I figured almost anything would be better, but Pine Lake's pizzas way exceeded my expectations. The crust is chewy and somewhere between thick and thin, which is a nice compromise for me and my husband who would go for pan-fried if it weren't for me. The pizzas arrived hot and not soggy. The pepperoni pizza was about average, but the Gourmet Greek was awesome! A good distribution of toppings with no skimping on the artichoke hearts and Kalamata olives. I'm a native of New York - lived there the first 21 years of my life -so I know good pizza. Pine Lake tries to be good pizza by saying it's "True Italian Pizza" (and it is the best pizza on the plateau, bar none, which is why I give it 3 stars), but it's lacking in several areas. The major issue I have with the place is the staff. Ordering for delivery is asking for trouble. I've had 2 hour waits when I've been promised only 1 hour, I've been double-charged on my credit card, and I've been told I didn't give a credit card number even though I most certainly did (and the pending list of charges on my account show they charged me). Their delivery pizza is almost always cold and requires reheating. It kind of defeats the purpose of ordering out. That being said, when I order pick up, I have never had long wait times, and I have always gotten a piping hot pizza. As for the actual product? I judge a pizzeria by their cheese pizza - if they can't get the cheese, sauce, and crust right, there's little sense in throwing toppings on it. Pine Lake has good sauce, but their crust is completely tasteless (seriously, it tastes like air), and their cheese tastes and looks like it's lower quality. One other thing - their pizza isn't "well done". If you're from the east you know what I mean - crust can be crispy or it can be chewy - it depends on how long they bake it. This place definitely falls on the chewier side, a tad chewier than I'd like. Overall? I think Pagliacci puts out the best pie in the area, but considering that Pine Lake is the only non-chain pizzeria on the plateau, it's not that bad. My favorite place from home is still Amedeo's in LaGrangeville, NY. read more

I just ordered an "extra large" (which is really just a large because as all the other joints they seem to have done away with a small pizza and now call a small a medium and a medium a large and a regular large an extra large which is bs) and an order of garlic bread sticks. The pizza crust tasted like cardboard and the garlic sticks had so much garlic on them we couldnt even eat them. Wasn't impressed. I was a walk in, and the kid at the counter told me there was a 10 minute wait, not bad I figured. Well, where he came up with that I have no idea..try 40 minutes later, I finally got my pizza, with no apologies, nothing. Come to find out the crust is horrible and tastes like cardboard. As I waited I watched a few other mess ups happening. The same kid accidently hung up on a guy and then also charged the wrong card for another lady that was on hold waiting to pay.
