Then we were recommended the Brinkman Team, and right from the start, they were responsive and professional. Choosing them turned out to be a great decision. We were assigned Joelle, and let me just say, she's a vibe for sure! From the first meeting, she was communicative, responsive, and honest. She toured multiple homes with us, pointing out issues like awkward layouts or homes that wouldn't suit us long term. Her honesty and advice were exactly what we needed. We finally came across a home we loved from the pictures and set up a tour. But that same evening, someone put in an offer, and it was showing as pending or active contingent depending on the various apps. This is where Joelle excelled, and I think this is the difference between an okay realtor and a great one. She encouraged us to go see it anyway, explaining that deals can fall through and it doesn't hurt to check it out. When we saw the home, it was by far the best one we'd looked at in our price range. Joelle went to bat for us, reaching out to the listing agent, staying on top of the situation, and sure enough, that buyer's contract fell through. The situation was a bit unusual, involving solar panels, but Joelle navigated it seamlessly. After the inspection, she walked us through every detail, helping us prioritize what to negotiate. In the end, she negotiated $40k off the list price! Nearing the end, the final appraisal came in above the negotiated price which was definitely a huge win for us! I bring all the above up because things can get messy, and you better hope you have a capable realtor to navigate through it. We were so lucky to have Joelle in our corner. Beyond the buying process, she connected us with a property management company for our current home and recommended contractors to prepare the new one before moving in. The only downside was the Compass app the team uses. It lacked functionality, didn't allow favorites in map view, and missed the neighborhoods we were interested in. All the homes we toured came from a different app, and we had to manually add them to Compass to keep Joelle informed. While this doesn't reflect on Joelle or the team directly, it was a bit of a frustration. Overall, Joelle and the Brinkman Team knocked it out of the park. If you're looking for a realtor who's honest, experienced, and client focused, Joelle is the one you want in your corner. Highly recommend!

The clubhouse is open 24/7 and a fun spot to hang out with friends. The dog area is a little small, but it has an excellent washing station with soap for the pups--a really thoughtful touch. Staff & Maintenance: The staff is honestly the best part of living here. I've mostly worked with Yeritza and Vlad, and they've been amazing from day one. They treat you like a guest (how it should be!) rather than just another resident. Maintenance is excellent too--they communicate clearly and always show up on time. Community: Bastrop is lively and full of fun things to do, even for a smaller town. It's great for kids, and the overall vibe is professional and friendly, partly thanks to many SpaceX employees living here. Move-In Experience: My move-in was smooth and stress-free, thanks to Yeritza. She explained everything in detail, including all the incentives, and made the whole process really comfortable. I could not be more satisfied with living here. I always felt safe with the gates and the apartment had enough room to make my own and never felt stuffy. The community is also super nice and friendly and I made tons of friends at the pool, gym, or just walking around/leaving my apartment. Hopefully they will give maintanance to the new garden and replace the broken down fence. I did notice a considerable less amount of hot water in cold days. I'm changing the stars from 3 to 4. They would have to replace the fence, bring a change dispenser to the loundry room and maybe bring new features in the apartments in order to get full 5 stars. UPDATE - Since my last review (read below) the administration has made some changes. They trimmed the tree that was a fire hazard, fix the electrical outlets, took down the sign with the old office hours, cleaned out the debris they had all over the parking lot and did some cosmetical changes. For that reason I'm changing the rating from 2 stars to 3. I'm hoping they change or expand their office hours (there are ways of doing that without spending more money), change the fence for a new one (little by little is fine) and fix the garden so they can really say it is Hidden Gardens. __________________ I figured since I've been here over a month I have a fair understanding of how it works around here. POSITIVE: Good location, bus route 1 and 801, mostly quiet, the apartment is spacious, no rats, one or two coakroaches (i fumigated and they are gone), you can pay online. NEGATIVE: The person in charge of the complex recently change. The neighbors told me this is business as usual. Their original office hours (according to a sign that they have the courage to keep at their door) was M- F 8:30 - 5:30. NOW is down to M-F 9:00 - 3:00, when nobody needs them. My maintenence requests have gone mostly unanswered. When it pours (rains hard), some areas get really flooded. I thought the water was going to enter my apartment. My neighbor's apartment got flooded. They won't fix his wall. The general area is clean but poorly maintained. The fence is about to fall. The front electronic gate is no longer there. Maybe it never was. The one in the back gets stuck (open at least) every week. The small gate for pedestrians is always open. Nobody has a key for it Loundry room works fine but there is no machine to change dollas for quarters. I saw a male and a female trying to steal the rent checks at 1:30 am two weeks ago. There are no securuty cameras. There is a counstruction on the south side. You would expect that Hidden Gardens is known for its beautiful gardens but they do not have the necessary personell to create/maintain it. ABOUT THE APARTMENT - It is spacious. Only two small windows. Everything is painted over to hide the old. The paper and towel holder keeps falling down. My apartment has a closed backyard. It has a litle bit of grass, mainly mudd and a hose somebody left. The little roof that covers the back entrance it's cut in half. It looks like it could fall on me any minute now. There is a tree that is dangerously close to the electrical lines (the poke is also on the patio). I made a maintenance requests since it is a fire hazard. No luck yet. This is easy money for the company that administrates this joint (Arbor Properties). They will not try to improve your life in any way but they won't forget to raise your rent a little bit every year.

I shower at a gym, can't cook, can't clean, can't keep anything under the cabinets where people are working on the pipes, and now, random people with keys are walking into my apartment on their own terms. Seriously, what is the point of renting a place? These apartments are owned by Roscoe Properties, which also have abysmal reviews..so check that out if you need more information. Lastly, I am not writing this just to complain. I am writing this review because I want to stop anybody who is considering signing a year long lease. Please, please, please save yourself the trouble.

The apartments are surprisingly quite, and the property is tucked away on a quieter street. A lot young professionals live there so Summers are great to hang out by the pool, or take advantage of two new gas grills they installed a few months back. The property is a great deal for the price considering the up and coming neighborhood it's in. Super close to great spots like Buzzmill, Jakalope, and the boardwalk! It's a smaller complex so you get a sense of community. At one point I knew every person that lived in my building. The staff at Link is AMAZING! The management changed several months ago and Jessica the office manager is outstanding. She is super nice, helpful, and professional. The maintenance guy Javier is out every morning making sure the property is clean and nicely maintained. He is also quick to address anything that needs to be fixed. Any time I needed something all I had to do was send Jessica a quick email or stop by the office. Javier would usually be their the same day and if not first thing the next day. I really can't say enough great things about the staff! I highly recommend Link!

Currently, I cannot recommend living here until meaningful improvements and accountability are shown.
