Cool grocery store. Some of their prices on their packaged bulk foods I found good and some high. I would like to go back and try their deli offerings. Ok...this place is like a crazy tourist destination on weekends. Great place to go for anything you may need if you cook or bake from scratch. Anything. The meats have always been really good, the smoked cheeses are excellent if you like smoked cheese. My only HUGE complaint is the deli sandwiches have taken a downward spiral in the past year. Just today we stopped to grab an expected delicious sub, as usual...acknowledging that the last time we stopped in it wasn't nearly as good as prior visits. But willing to give it a go again. TOTAL CRAP. I ordered a white sub. Toasted bread. Well, toasting it rendered it a crumbly mess. Mayo. Hubby wanted mayo. NOT THE WHOLE CONTAINER. Nothing is more disgusting to me than opening up a sandwich to eat and have globs of mayonnaise oozing out the sides...the sandwich could not be eaten as it simply slid apart. There was mayonnaise everywhere. Sandwich slid apart and before I could grab the oozing mess half slid onto my beautiful leather purse, ruining it with a huge greasy stain across the front. F. sooo...I suggest NOT ordering sandwiches there on weekends. I don't think two slices of ham make a sandwich. Actually that was my half, hubby may have had two on his. Ham was flavourless & sliced too thick. SUPERVISE the making of your sandwich if you are starving and need to order one there. I'm honestly not sure I will ever again. I've been scarred from the taste and experience today. I don't drink soda and seriously drank 1/2 of hubby's coke to try and wash the taste out of my mouth. Just awful. read more

My wife and I have been shopping here for many years. We live an hour and 15 minutes away, so we go 2 or 3 times a year and stock up. They have some items that you just cant get at the big chain stores and the quality is second to none. Only complaint is that they used to have larger bags of some items which are no longer available as they try to make things in one pound sizes. Nice gift items for sale and the deli makes the best subs around. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. We will keep coming back as long as we are able. read more

I love this place. Great service, friendly staff, good selection of products and their deli is well stocked with meat and cheese. If you order one of their sandwiches it is packed with generous portions and made just the way you want it. They have just about everything you may want and then some. Pine Ridge is one of my favorite places to shop. I make 99 percent of our food from scratch and having a local bulk food store is essential. I purchase all my baking supplies there and they are really fresh. You can even purchase them in 50 lb. bags if you want to. The spices and herbs have a strong fresh smell when you open the containers. Which even the most expensive name brand ones from the grocery stores don't even come close. They have a huge assortment of candies, dried fruits,snacks, nuts and sugar free candies. If there is a candy, dried fruit or nut you are searching for, there is a good chance you will find it there. Their variety of baking ingredients and dried beans and rice is many. They offer quite a few products for special diets such as low carb diets, gluten free, sugar free, organic foods and others. They have a deli counter with meats and cheeses available. The staff there are very friendly and eager to help you with any questions you may have. It is worth the trip as there are other bulk food stores but i feel their prices are very good and can get things like oatmeal and cream of wheat way cheaper there than most stores. read more

Very nice store for buying bulk cooking/baking/candy/etc. supplies with a great selection. The deli meats are fantastic, we love the homemade cookies and breads, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Check out the cookbooks and try some Amish recipes! They also offer handmade Amish and Mennonite items at very reasonable prices. During the afternoons and on Saturdays it is quite busy so I recommend going early on a weekday. It is definitely worth the drive to Bainbridge. read more

This place sparked my curiosity when driving by. They are no frills and definitely not a mainstream grocery store, but they are an excellent find! They primarily have shelves of items they have purchased in bulk and are selling back at wholesale prices. If you do a lot of vegan baking or make non-traditional dishes, this is the place for you! They had a great selection of hard to find spices and baking items. I can't comment personally on the deli/meat section, but they must make one heck of a sandwich because the line was out the door. The cheese selection was impressive too. The staff were friendly, which is always a plus. Prices were excellent! read more

I I have always gone here for years for their great sub sandwiches. Today, the roast beef was awful. It was processed so much that it didn't even resemble meat and the taste was something other than meat. Also, the cheese and vegetables were sparse. It appears they are doing this change to their subs on account of the summer crowds. They get the crowds so the quality goes down to save them money. This is what happens when there's no competition to them. Another thing, I frequent Amish Country in Lancaster Co. PA. The real Amish and Mennonites would never charge the high prices on groceries this place gets away with. Today, a homemade pie was $10!! I keep wondering how long the community will support their ever rising prices. Those high prices constructed their building expansion of almost double the square footage? While I mainly Yelp NYC based places, I must write a review to highlight pine ridge. Growing up a town over, stopping at pine ridge was a always a treat for a 30 cent popsicle or some gummy bears. Now on trips out of the city, I stop for the best selection and prices of spices, all baking needs, nuts, and other dried goods. Incomparable prices for the quality. Sold by weight. Good store. But the people are clanish and actually quite condesending. I believe the issue is that their religious beliefs , make them feel superior rather than make them better people. They are very into making money, just not spending it. If your female an walk in with the least bit of perfume, eyeliner , etc on, expect to have them "drop your change in your hand", with an attitude that if they touched you they would be soiled. My neighbor recommended this store. After my first visit, I was hooked. It has the greatest selection of fresh spices and at an extremely affordable price. It has soup, rice, pasta mixes. It has candies, dried fruits, and a huge selection of bulk sugar, flour, breakfast mixes. After you shop here, you will do better than even Walmart, which is supposedly the cheapest around.
