Very crowded at the time I went, but understandable. What a fabulous store. Visit it every time I'm in Binghamton area. Wegman's has opened a few stores on Long Island, (not that near to town where I live), but haven't visited yet. Baked goods are awesome and plentiful. And their floral dept. is just beautiful. This was my first Wegmans experience 2 decades and was very pleased. The convenience and variety of items boggled my mind. Food shopping became a chore I actually looked forward to and always seemed to pack additional items in my shopping cart as a result. This location was always clean, well stocked and bright. Ahh, the Hudson Valley needs to do something about this, specifically Dutchess County. Seriously, Wegmans has a variety of choices, lots of food, drinks, and snacks, and just about everywhere to look, there's something. While observing, most of these products look in great shape, which includes being well-stocked, and easy to find. It looks to me that the work they do pays off, which it does. With that in mind, it may come to a challenge of where to start, in terms of pricing, etc, but their unique selections (which in most cases,) have great quality. I could honestly spend time here for a while, or any Wegmans. Also, they provide food that includes an option for eating "for here," which provides tables for any convenience. I was here yesterday morning and late evening. Compared to other Wrgmans in the state, this one felt subpar. I walked in yesterday morning to get a bouquet of flowers and the selection was disappointing. I came back in the evening to get some bread and most of it was gone. Maybe they're baking a fresh batch in the morning? Also, I usually get a big box of their chocolate chip cookies for my niece's and they only had small boxes available. read more

Wish we had Wegmans on the West Coast! Stopped for lunch supplies and ended up walking every aisle just to see what they had. Pretty sure they have everything you could imagine and more! Local organic goods, seasonal decor, fresh produce, an amazing selection of bakery items and fresh breads, micro brewery beers, and a prepared foods section that had me drooling. The only downside was no wine; which I forgot New York has separate liquor stores for certain percentage alcohols. Wegmans always equals chaos to me. So many people always shopping! But it's impossible to argue how great of a grocery store it is. Their bakery is fantastic. Cakes from Wegmans are always a hit. They have delicious foods that are hard to find elsewhere. My favorite department is the floral department. They have a huge fresh supply of flowers always in stock. Their flowers always last the longest too. The staff is helpful and willing to put together a bouquet with your flower choices. But there's so many available to choose from all set to go also. read more

Though Wegman's is very busy and more crowded than what I'm used to, but it's well stocked with a ton to offer! They have a cafe. They have a baked goods and to-go section that has pre-made sandwiches, salads. They have a large section of pre-made plates, wings, Asian food. A sushi section. Huge amounts of produce, organic and regular. An expansive cheese department as well as fresh cut and pre-cut meats. They have cheese plates, dips. Large frozen section, tons of drinks. They have all the regular grocery fare, frozen etc. They have a to-go pizza operation. They also have some random stuff like patio furniture? I usually shop at Kroger when at home, and I do like the ability to scan my own items as I shop, and just checkout quickly at the end. I don't want to be a hater, despite my nature to be so, but wegmans is okay. It has a lot of advantages to other supermarkets. Good grab and go foods (mildly overpriced) good produce and a vast selection of goods. Great flowers! lots of meats and a whole section of dietary restriction products for those health bound or simply inclined to limit their joie de vivre. On the other hand the popularity of the store means it is always fairly crowded. As a personal space obsessive, combined with the dense aisles to fit all the variety I find the overall effect mildly claustrophobic. The other edge to the sword of variety is the tendency toward getting lost in products trying to find what you need. for instance large sections of the store are dedicated to kitchenware and sports paraphernalia, which is fine, but it does give me less cart space and make it hard to find the cheetos. Anyway the selection cant be beat, but I find the whole things off-putting for reasons I can't place. Still its a good store I should probably give it more stars but can't bring myself to. Final thought, the mini carts have a low back side basket right in between the back wheels that for some reason in the course of pushing the cart I will consistently wack my shin bone against. So I do enjoy shopping with that cart due to my love of living on the edge of danger at all times. read more

I went into Wegmans today. I wanted to get a gift for my friend and look at some of the organic and healthy things. The area is destroyed. There's no to it. I could barely find what I needed. The selection was very low. Everything is mushed in and it used to be so nice! The magazine aisle, the products you can get for people for gifts. The openness of it is all gone. This is my dream grocery store. If only we had them in California. It's like Whole Foods or Gelson's with the selection at Sprouts' (affordable) pricing, and the expansiveness and stock of a Target or Costco! These stores are HUGE. They have an in-house bakery, aisles and aisles of dry goods, and so much fresh produce. We came in here looking just for kombucha and found so much more that we wanted including fresh apple cider and other snacks. Very important: they have bottles of Lupo's spiedie marinades that are famous in Binghamtom/upstate New York! You don't have to go to the restaurant. There is a fun train that runs around the supermarket, so be sure to look up! read more

I could spend several hours here. It's practically a small town! That might be intimidating to some, but I actually like grocery browsing. Made to order sandwiches and entrees, fresh sushi, fresh salads. I've also never had a bad premade dish here. The selection of quality food here is unbelievable. Tons of great cheeses, breads, pastries, etc. The prices for some of the 'premium' foods are on the high side, but that's to be expected and you do get what you pay for. I do wish they had a liquor section(just beer and wine from what I see) BUT you can use your Wegman's card at the Johnson City Liquor next door. It's a bit inconvenient to go into 2 stores, but not horrible. I only wish it was closer to my house, but that might not be a bad thing! read more

I'm actually shocked that I haven't already left a review for Wegmans. I've been going to the store for years and absolutely love it. There's not much that I could need as far as groceries are concerned that cannot be found here. This is a seriously huge store compared to others in the area and the selection is impressive Now most people I have heard don't prefer Wegmans if they're on a tighter budget because the general consensus is that they are more expensive. This is sort of true but if you look around they are very competitive. The expensive part I believe comes from some of the items that you can purchase here that other stores don't have. I mean these guys have an ultimate chocolate cake in their bakery department that comes in three sizes. A single slice is I think $3.50?, A small cake that'll fit in the palm of your hand is a little over $10 and I think the full size cake is probably around $25 I would have to check. The point is people see a little chocolate cake for $10, or maybe it's $13?..... Either way people see it for that price and say oh no way this store is too expensive. On the other hand though if you go down the cereal aisle and look at the price per pound on the Wegmans brand cereals, you will find that they are in fact a few cents cheaper than the bagged cereal at the Walmart down the road. I have also found that if you stick to the Wegmans brand of products when they are available they are very competitively priced and your experience in this particular store won't break the bank anymore than it would have somewhere else Like I said though I'm the other side of the coin if you've got a few dollars to spare, everything from live lobsters, a sub shop that's amazing, a Chinese food buffet, sushi made fresh every morning, pizzas by the slice or made to order, a coffee bar that must be pretty good because when I am there in the morning there is usually a line. There's a Dunkin' donuts with a drive-thru right down the road and various convenient stores that people can get their coffee at a little easier than parking at a supermarket and walking across a lot to stand in line at a counter, so I'm guessing it must be pretty good coffee. Oh and don't forget that chocolate cake I mentioned earlier. So yes I definitely highly recommend the Wegmans store. However to stay with the norm, apparently I have to complain about something :-), so I'm going to choose the fact that they are no longer open 24 hours. Ever since they closed it down for covid-19 they have yet to reopen completely. I believe as of today they are open 6:00 a.m. until midnight which is pretty impressive however I usually drive past there around 4:00 a.m. and I can't stop because they don't open for a couple more hours. There is a bright side to this complaint however as when I used to go in there at 4:00 a.m. the parking lot and the store itself smelled freaking incredible because all of the baked goods were being prepared and this is a complaint because at 4:00 a.m. none of it was yet available for sale. All the shelves for the muffins and the donuts and the fritters were empty :-(. So now I have to wait until 6:00 a.m. to go to the store however when I get there I can load up. read more

Their sheet pizza (and wings) is the worst sold in the "Triple Cities". Tasteless, greasy, oily and just plain crap. Actually this is the worse pizza I ever had, and I'm in my 70's. Just stay away from their wings...really bad (where's the chicken?) Nasty! Go to Pudgies Pizza if you want a good sheet pizza and wings. I've been a Wegmans customers for a very long time, but they continue to amaze me with their service. A friend was passing through our area and could only make a brief stops to grab a drink and a little something to eat. in 10 minutes , I was able to put together a little picnic which we had in their lovely dining area, it was amazing. We had a charcuterie tray, a salad ,dip with sliced bread, shrimp and more that makes a picnic special. In the dining area, they provided utensils and microwave to heat up the dip , plates, water and ice. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. My gourmet snack for three cost about $40. Service is becoming a total joke at this store. They have changed the rules and now you cannot use self checkout if you have over 20 items. This wouldn't be too bad except for the fact that they only have 6 registers open and 3 or 4 people in each line. There was 6 self checkouts open and since I only had a small cart with about 25 items I tried to use the self checkout to save some time. I was confronted by an employee and forced to wait in line for almost 15 minutes to check out with a cashier. I can't believe Wegmans let's their sub shop run a slow as it does. Waited in line for 20 min while the sub staff took their time and then when I was next in line the staff person walked away somewhere and didn't say a word. The person came back, still didn't say anything to me and started to clean their area. Finally another staff member came up and prepared my sub sub order. The company really needs to pay attention to the employees. I hate coming to the sub shop. The rest of the store is great though. read more

In terms of service Wegmans is a leader in the industry. Big sign at door for all customers to wear masks when entering the store, i love that! Makes me feel just a bit safer and i can count on the staff to enforce it as well! Cashiers are always very friendly and helpful. The stores are always very well kept and maintained in terms of clean bathrooms and clean aisles. However prices were on the expensive side. I noticed they had soft shell crabs, weird to see them individually wrap at $5 each. I can even say the crabs were large but rather a medium size crab. Since they were individually wrap, i have to assume they are previously frozen. I normally buy them at the asian market like Hmart fresh for less. The meat section had the tomahawk steak $28 a lb, the chop it self had a large bone but not a lot of meat. The meat on the chop lacked voLume. So i rather check other cuts of meat for grilling. I Was looking for Lysol spray disinfectant but i couldn't find any. Lines were moving at a reasonable rate for the 6pm week day rush. Overall a very well kept store. As far as prices, they should offer some kind of student discount for any of the major universities in the area. My daughter's budget is limited, so she will refrain from having to shop here due to high prices for ready to serve food at the deli. read more

Damn good store. The salad bar rocks-terrific pesto, tapenade, moist soft mozzarella balls, toothsome artichoke hearts, nice assortment of olives, should I go on? Deli counter well stocked, if you ask nicely they'll cut your prosciutto di Parma or bresaola exactly as thin as you like it-although my cutter, when I started to tell him what I was using the bresaola for basically said 'don't bother, that stuff is bad for you to eat'!!! Fruit and vegetables are usually quite good quality, and prices in the southern tier seem better than in NJ where I usually shop at Wegman's. Staff (besides the deli guy) are chatty and helpful. The check out staff seem to actually enjoy the transaction! Darn clean too! And major props for having the hot dog stand outside-it's tough to find Hofman snappy grillers back home! read more

As I'm from Rochester, Wegmans is not new to me. With other five locations just a few miles away from me, it's hard to imagine life without one. Thank god that there was one here! However, it's different from what I'm used to. The layout of the store feels overly compact with a thin entrance to the produce area once you get inside. Don't go during the afternoon areas if you suffer from agoraphobia. I was constantly bumping into people and trying to navigate with my injured grandmother in a amiga cart was not easy. As with most Wegmans though, produce is in the front and the market cafe is to the right. It's an easy walk since the actual aisles are a good width apart from each other. The cash registers are at the front of the store but are a bit hidden if you are coming from the back. On the plus side, there are over 30 registers and at peak hours, most of them are operational. They have accessible check out aisles too so it helped me out a lot instead of trying to squeeze in the tiny aisles. Prices are good if you are looking for Wegmans brand foods and the service is what I expected, sincere and efficient! I wouldn't mind setting up a residence in Binghamton as long as this Wegmans stays in business. This is the best grocery store in the area that shouldn't be skipped. read more

The grocery store is wonderful but I am not going to use on-line ordering anymore. Second time in 2 years that my order has gotten lost. Once was Thanksgiving. Luckily I had printed the receipt and they were able to put it together. The second was today when we found that the order did not go through for some reason.......no failure response on the on line session......in fact we got verification that the art work had been uploaded to their system. When I remarked that the on-line system might not be reliable, she assured me that the problem was indeed all mine, since they don't lose things there. Personally, I'm quite frustrated that the local Johnson City Wegmans has done away with what used to be a fairly good organics specific section. Honestly, I spent 80 % of my time and spending power in that section. I was told today by an employee that the organics products will now be redistributed amongst the general shelves but in truth, from what I've seen, the selection is diminished and harder to locate. I've been discouraged for some time to see brands I prefer gradually swapped out for Wegmans own store brand, which is in general not of the same quality of what I'd choose for myself. Wegmans is amazing. Make that freaking amazing. The store is just plain awesome. OK enough of the hyperbole let me tell you why. I use the café as my office when I'm visiting family in B-Town. The café has free WI FI and doesn't mind people hanging out there all day and night. They are open 24 hrs. Their bakery has some tasty muffins. Try the blueberry muffins. I don't think Ace Rothstein (Google him) would be pissed on being shorted blueberries in his muffin. The sushi is good and reasonable priced. The beer section has a plethora (college paid off) of beers that you wouldn't normally find in a supermarket. The café has free newspapers to read. I get my NY Daily News fix on when I'm there. I so wish Wegmans is on the West Coast. We have In N Out in California so, it's a wash. Luvs me some In N Out. Wegmans is the Shangra La or Xanadu of supermarkets. Simply awesome. read more

Don't get me wrong - I love Wegmans. My husband and I go here on a date to get all the yummy things to eat, but what the heck is their issue with the carts?! When you walk in, the setup is completely backwards. You have to dart across all the exiting customers to grab a cart and then wait for them to clear so you can get back on the correct side to enter the store. Either the exit/enter door sides need to be switched, or the carts needs to switch sides. Drives me insane. They also recently updated the sub shop area so you can't take your cart with you! The aisle isn't wide enough to fit even a small cart.. What the heck, I don't want to shove my empty cart in a corner and have someone take it, or I don't want to leave a cart full of groceries 20 feet away either. Get it together wegs. read more

Once one of the greatest places to shop, its quickly losing its reputation. Wegmans abruptly remove their coffee grinders, telling customers to figure out another way to grind your beans, this was told to me by 2 representives from the store, they simply could care less. Looks, like the end game here is to discontinue yet more products, the whole bean coffee options, this will be justified, by the decrease in sale of these products due to the grinder removals. Out Stock, products, cant keep the shelves full 7 days a week. Every week, I have to adjust my grocery list, "it will be in tomorrow", and Im sorry, are the famous phases heard at Wegmans. No more organic family packs on meat. Interesting they added individual pieces options, looks like catering to student population, instead of families. Discontinued many organic products, since breaking up natures market, but added huge selection of GNC like products, and every energy drink made in the world. Lets reset the whole store, again, and confuse customers even more. Longer times to check out. No longer a top 100 shopper, when I have to go to Price Chopper or Weis, or on line to Vitacost to get what Wegmans is out of... Call and complain or send emails, voicing your concerns, dont let the poor management destroy what used to be a great place to shop. read more

I often travel between Buffalo and New Jersey and this place is my favorite place to stop and eat. The lay out of this store is similar with any other Wegmans in Buffalo area. I came here numerous times, and during the day, the food court is always busy. Always, never fails. I remembered when I first found out about Wegmans in Binghamton, I was so happy I almost wanted to shop and fill up my shopping cart, yet I realized I wasn't home and I couldn't simply buy the stuff I wanted. The customer service is great as always, even during the busiest time of the day, the front end managers managed to open new lines for customers to check out. Everyone that works there are helpful and I have never encountered any problems find anything. The produce section is filled with fresh fruits and vegetables from local farms, and the store is clean and organized. Overall, Wegmans has won my heart, it is definitely my favorite grocery stores and no doubt I will come back here whenever I'm in the area. read more

We used to love the Wegmans Subs! However. For the second time we ordered through the Wegmans2go app and waited over 1 hr and 15 min for our order.... And only receive it then because I called the store. Their app stated the order would be ready at 12:35 and it was ready at 1:21 . The order was placed at 12:00. In addition to the lack of respect for the customers time, the subs have shrunk in size (not price). The medium is still 7" long but the width had decreased by at least 1/2". Sorry Wegmans.... When you began you were very customer focused, but now you are about the bottom line and making cuts to your products and blaming the App for your difficulties. No more. Go to Jersey Mike's.... Conditions have not got much better at Wegmans in Johnson City New York in the last month. I still see store employees with the mask pull down below their nose on multiple times. No one ever checks the number of persons going into the store. The aisles are still clogged with high profit seasonal items, forcing you to cluster with others to try to get into the vegetable section, a narrow passageway between the flowers and the cold cuts, and other blocked junction points. The selection of items has gotten a little better, although fresh local produce in August should be more available and is in many other places in town. By comparison to other Wegmans in other states, this place is packed too tight, with too many items, most of which are superfluous. read more
