We have recently reserved a rv to stay at this campground expecting it to have the basics of when you rent a rv , but we were mistaken . The ac and the heater did not work at our rv , and it gets cold at night and hot during the day. Which had many of us waking up with colds and sore throats including the baby that was with us. The tubs and sink would constantly overflow and clog up. The place is overwhelming dusty and the lake where you swim is full of leaches and mud. The employees at the office are also not very kind nor helpful . read more

I was a seasonal camper there for 2 years. The owners John and Bonnie were the nicest people I could imagine. I am a handicapped elderly woman camping alone and John took care of everything for me. Including emptying my gray water every time it needed it. He built a deck on the front of my camper, he installed a screen room around my awning on the deck. When I ordered a new mattress for my bed he helped the people that delivered it to bring it in, and when I bought a Topper that came in one of those little bags that had two air out John and I had the grandest time trying to get that mattress topper to become the right size so that I could sleep on it , it was just really so much fun. I really enjoyed my stay there it was so private and comfortable I was able to walk to the pond in front of me and leave my chair there on the lawn and be able to go fishing. When I had problems with one of the neighbors children,they were coming over and throwing rocks on my car John took care of that for me, he protected me in every way and Bonnie was just wonderful I would go up and visit in the office and store with her and we'd sit and chat. We have remained friends and now that they are in Florida for the winter we send each other Christmas cards and they have sold the campsite so I don't know if you're talking about the new owners but I'm telling you John and Bonnie were the best owners you could imagine. thank you John and Bonnie I love you both read more

We made reservations about a month ago. When we got here we decided to stay another night. The owners were very accommodating. Our site was on the little lake. It was beautiful. The bath house is nicely kept and the showers did the job. Because it is a private lake, we were able to fish. Of course, we did catch and release. Lots of 9" large mouth bass. It was fun. Felt very secure. Met great people from Maine who were in the next camp site over. Don't hesitate, book and stay here. If we ever wonder this way again, we'll book again. DON'T STAY AT PINE VALLEY CAMPGROUND IN N.Y. My wife and I started a cross-country trip in California and traveled across the country going as far south as Florida and as far north as Niagara Falls. We have stayed in many campgrounds KOA, Passport America, private campgrounds state parks and national parks. Pine Valley campground in Endicott New York was the worst. Don't stay there. It wasn't because the campground was bad it was because of the combination of the extra costs not mentioned ahead of time and the man who owns the property. When we got to the campground early I was informed that even though the spot was empty I would have to pay extra or sit and wait for hours to get in. The cost of the campground was much more than most we stayed at and all we had was electric and water but no sewer. On the 17thI was informed that we were suppose to leave. I told them I was supposed to be here 3 days here is a cut and paste from the email sent to me Thank you for your reservation for August 15 - 17, 2021 at Pine Valley Campground. So I went down and paid again for another day because you cannot argue with these people or they get in your face. You think for what they were charging you would have had all the usual hookups. Then I found out the internet was free only for 15 minutes then they charge after that. Then I got stopped by the owner because I was driving 4 miles and hour over the 5mph speed limit. This ignorant guy was a real piece of work. He must have been a bully in school and is continuing the practice in the rest of his life. The biggest mistake I made was not reading the countless reviews telling everybody not to stay there for the same reasons I encountered. Last Minute Reservation Excellently Accommodated! - Good Sized gated campground. Well kept dirt road circles 6 acre lake. It is a 5 mph, but I am grateful for the safety! Camping spaces around lake have well kept grass and well maintained hookups. They have boats to rent, but we have our own. Swimming was closed due to algae, but I was warned in advance. - My wife and two kids decided to camp last minute. The camp is owned by a nice husband and wife team. The wife answered my call and had a nice full hookup spot next to the lake for me. The husband rode his 4 wheeler down to the spot to guide me in which was unnecessary, but polite. Spot was mostly level and he offered to help me level it, but I have my own blocks and managed on my own. He politely excused himself. - Kids both caught fish, rode bikes and played on the small playground. We had a great day that was calm, peaceful and quiet for the most part. We wrapped up the night by going to the main building to get icecream. The husband was running a bingo game in the spacious main room while his wife was dishing out icecream! -I saw some reviews refer to strict rules, but I didn't experience issues with the owners. We had made reservations for a weekend here while were were working in Binghamton. When we arrived to check in, the husband and wife were both nasty to us. In the hotel business, there is such a thing as hospitality, and these two obviously need a course in it. We had asked for a pull through spot, and that was not complied with. Instead the husband "directed" us into the spot by the lake with no trees around and near the lake that smelled horrible. The 5 mile speed limit is strictly enforced; we were going 6 mph, and were stopped and accosted by the husband. Needless-to-say, we won't be back. read more

To start the place was secluded enough and not to many people there to make a private camping get away. On the other hand the owners rudeness several times made this trip not as enjoyable. The wife owner clearly doesn't know hospitality and on the phone she was yelling at me. Her husband in the other hand just had anger issues and is a mean cold man. We were going over the 5 mph speed limit coming back l to our site and he followed us all the way and pulled next to the car to scream at us. We were both shocked and scared and he told us we have to pack our stuff up and leave. The woman who owns this place is very nice but her husband is nasty. Had a run-in with him, and he ran up the back way of his property to try to confront me on the public road about 1/4 mile away. He was angry that I didn't show the proper bow and scrape to him I guess. Barely had a word to say to me and then his wife, after I had given them the deposit and signed the contract to stay for the next season, said, "Oh, by the way, I know you were looking for an RV for about $6000, but my husband said (he can't speak for himself I guess) we don't accept RVs older than 15 years. AFTER I signed the contract. I said something to the effect that hopefully I could comply as it wasn't in the contract. So he walked out before I left and as I came out of their lot, up the hill and around the corner about 1/4 miles there he was (though I didn't recognize him." He stood in the middle of the road yelling "Hold it" and I didn't recognize this crazy man so gunned it and drove around him. Scared me! Then he called my cell and said "When I told you to hold it, you needed to hold it." Not even on his property and he wasn't in any police uniform so don't get where he thinks he had authority to try to stop me. Said I drove like a "bat out of hell out of the community which was SO not true, and he was up the road and around the corner when I left so we didn't even see me leave. Told me to come back and get my deposit - thank God! Didn't want to be around this abuser. His wife was meek and obviously frightened of him. When I went back for my deposit and she gave it to me and he had walked outside she leaned forward and whispered to me, "I'm sorry. I would have done the same thing you did." The whole time I was walking to my car he was hiding at the corner of the building watching me. Especially if you're a female, you do NOT want to stay here. read more

This campground is not only peaceful and beautiful but the owners are the most kind and wonderful people my family has come across. Our children are 11 and 8 and have been having a blast since the moment we pulled in. We're from Binghamton NY and came up from DC to camp for a week (June 17 to 24) so we could see family and friends. This is our second time camping at Pine Valley (first time there, we had no problems at all), but this time was much different. The PROS about the campground: it's secluded, nice and quiet, not filled with party animals, good size flat sites for camping trailers, good size pond with plenty of fish that bite all the time, bathrooms were very clean, and cell service was fine (not WiFi). However, the CONS outweigh the pros by far. They charge you for your children to camp. The site cost only covers two people. So for us, my wife and I. Our 13 and 16 year olds were charged about $21 EACH for the week we stayed. Not sure for what, since there weren't any activities going on. And swimming was prohibited unless a life guard was on duty, which he never was during the week (June 17-24). Maybe one day but not during the week at all. There is little to nothing at all for kids to do. Not sure why they charge extra for them. Well, they do have three pedal boats to rent out. $5 for 30 minutes. And we did this. When we rented two of them, we were told by the wife owner to start your watch when we get to the pedal boats, that we have 1/2 hr. Which are the rules but it seems strict when it's on a Wednesday and there is absolutely no one at the campground to use them. You'd think the clock wouldn't be a big deal. Another extra charge is for visitors. Not visitors to go swimming since that is never open, but just to eat with us or sit by the fire. Remember there is nothing for the visitors to do. So all people visiting must pay $3 to get through the gated road. Speaking of the gated road, which is another nuisance, you must be back to the campground by 8pm to get through it. Or else you have to pay $20 deposit for an access card to use. Tip for the owners: give your campers a pass with the understanding that they must return it or be charged $20 if they don't. Remember it is summer time and 8pm is not even sunset so people may be out past that curfew. OR just get rid of the gate since it's just Endicott and not some big city with a bunch of people looking for a pond to swim in. Speaking of big cities where they usually have good WiFi, this campground charges $10 for 7 days for WiFi but it does not work. Maybe 1 or 2 bars on my laptop but super slow. Don't pay for it. A waste of money. Save that money for a car wash that you'll need after you drive around the dusty part gravel / part holes of a road. Absolutely horrible road. I know Endicott and the Binghamton area have some of the worst roads ever (drive on them if you don't believe me), but this campground has there worst gravel road I've ever driven on at a campground. REALLY, REALLY BAD. Another rude and strange thing is that the husband owner does is mows grass around sites that have people camping at them - like us. We were gone during the day and came back to our site to see our ground mat was moved and grass was cut around us. We were only there 4 days when this happened. I've never had owners at campgrounds mow the lawn while I was camping on it. In addition, the owners had a maintenance worker come by the sites that were empty and those not empty to clean out the fire pit - remove any trash or ashes in there. Which makes sense to do AFTER the camper departs but not during the stay. A bit of an abnormal action. HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

Loved this place when my kids were little and still love it. Good place to get away for a quiet weekend or night. I have a 16yr old son and he enjoyed the experience. Two things that were not good were : 1 the swim area was closed the night we stayed and 2 the dog adjacent to our sight was loud and annoying. read more

Wish I had read reviews before we stayed... The place seemed nice at first, but we got nickeled and dimed for EVERYTHING, things that "come with" at many other places. The kids went to the store to ask when swimming was, she wouldn't answer and told them to look at the flyer she gave their mom. Then, they didn't open the swimming section on 2 of our 3 days visiting. My kids spent a mint at the store, you'd think they would have mentioned not opening the swimming....especially since their "flyer" said it would be open. We hung around on check out day just to swim, and never got to go, so needless to my kids were VERY disappointed...she could of at least offered a partial refund. read more

This was our first and last time camping at Pine Valley, at least under the current owners. We've never had run-ins with campground owners in the past but we did this time. The campground was nice enough although the bath house left a bit to be desired. Although it was cleaned while we were there, it was a bit on the buggy side. The biggest downside was the pull showers. My children weren't tall enough to pull/hold the lever for the shower. Not the end of the world, but annoying to shower holding on to a pull cord. All would have been fine except for our experience with the owner. Our two interactions with him were sour and nasty. The first time he was unfriendly and gruff with my husband and son who had come to use the bathhouse which he was finishing cleaning. That we would have overlooked except for the second incident. We had driven back into the campground to retrieve something from our site. The owner pulled into our campsite right on our bumper and stalked to the driver's side. The conversation went something like this: Owner: "Do you know what the speed limit is?" My husband: "5 mph" Owner: "I was right behind you at the gate and I couldn't even keep up with you. So I sped up to 10 MPH and I STILL couldn't catch up to you!!! You need to SLOW DOWN or YOU'RE LEAVING!" And he stormed off. We were probably going about 15mph (there's a hill) so we were over the speed limit. We would have been fine with a warning, but the threat and aggression put us over. Others whom we spoke to who had the misfortune of staying there said the owner continuously motioned them to slow down too, even if they were under 10mph. If you don't mind a campground where the owners aggressively search for reasons to punish their guests, this may work for you. We won't be back, even though it's the only campground in the area. We'll take the lead of others who knew better and stay away! read more
