If in season, don't miss a kayak/canoe trip on the Delaware. Beautiful!

Really hard to do justice to The Starlight Lodge with a simple review but we can't provide a higher/better recommendation. We can attest to the other reviews and only add that our personal experience on several visits have each been amazing. It starts with the proprietors who clearly love what they do and where they do it and are really good at it. Plain and simple, they know how to make you feel relaxed and welcome like old friends. Their lodge reflects this as well with simple, rustic charm combined with pure comfort. We are always sad to leave but feel revitalised when we do and comforted knowing we will be back soon. Hope to meet you around the breakfast table one morning.

I went to a wedding in Fish Eddie and stayed here for only one night. We communicated through emails. Becky replied nicely and upgraded me to a queen bed room. Since I drove alone and not familiar with this area, she gave me a lot of useful advices and checked the routes for me (the bridge closed so I had to detour...). The next day before I left, she cooked homemade breakfast and let me take my time enjoy my coffee even though it was a little bit late. Usually I'm a very picky guest, but I love this place so much! Feel so thankful for her warm hospitality. Can't wait to go back soon! Highly recommended!!

From our first interaction with the owner, Becky, we had nothing but an incredible experience. We called to book the weekend, and since it was after the high season of summer, she gave us a special rate for two nights in the Honeymoon Suite. We sent her in a deposit, and called her the day of to confirm the best time of arrival. She was completely casual and accommodating and said to just stop by whenever. When we showed up, she gave us the tour of the Suite, which turned out to be the entire basement of her home! We had a private entrance, a working fireplace, a full ensuite bathroom with an incredible shower setup, a huge sectional sofa that could have fit at least eight people, a master bedroom with a queen size bed, as well as a second twin bedroom that we did not even use. Perfect if we ever go back and bring more guests with us! After we unpacked Becky invited us upstairs for wine and cheese with the other guests. I thought that sort of thing only happened in movies! She gave us some great recommendations for places to go for dinner, and asked what time we would like breakfast in the morning. When we said we were flexible, she said warmly, "well that works for me, you don't need reservations here!" The next morning we had delicious, strong coffee, I had eggs with green peppers and onions with oat nut toast, and my boyfriend had stuffed French Toast, two huge slices of Italian bread glued together with fresh sliced strawberries and ricotta cheese. We even started the meal with two generous slices of banana cream cheese coffee cake, some of the moistest, sweetest start to breakfast that we have ever had. Later that afternoon, she invited us back up to the kitchen for tea, and, you guessed it, slices of the leftover cake. For our second day, she surprised us with souffle apple pancakes, a cross between an apple pie and a pancake, a delicious, buttery, crusty sweet and savory concoction made in a cast iron skillet. Not only that, but since we were the only guests that morning, we had to eat the entire sinful cylinder ourselves - oh well! We washed it down once more with plenty of delicious coffee and some of her homemade sausage that was made locally. The estate her house is on is simply gorgeous, and is adjacent to rolling green pastures where her horses live. While there is no horseback riding (bummer), you can walk up to the fence to see them grazing and take some breath taking pictures. Her dog, Milo, a Sheltie, is a delightful host's accomplice, who loves to play fetch and get petted. We had a lovely, relaxing weekend in the country at Becky's Bed and Breakfast, and cannot wait for next fall when we return.

We arrived at our scheduled time and were immediately seated at a table with the full view of the lake. However the table was circular and its positioning pinned one person in the "corner" which wouldn't be a big deal had we not been at a buffet style dinner. There was nice background music and the dining area was calm and enjoyable. The layout of the buffet was very minimal and cramped. One long table and another perpendicular to that forming a tight L shape. Soups and salad were on another small table and the desserts on yet another, all in the main corridor of the restaurant. Additionally the dishes were not labeled and what I thought was mushrooms turned out to be Brussel sprouts. Prime rib was not on the menu but it is offered at other times. The pies were not cut and their positioning on risers made getting a slice very difficult. The food was very good and no one left hungry but the cost exceeded the value of the experience. Bill Hills Farm Tent and Breakfast is located in a small town in Narrowsburg NY, it's somewhat close to the Delaware Water Gap and it's approximately a two and a half hour drive from Queens NY. TIP: It's on the way to Woodbury outlet, so you can do some shopping after glamping We got there just before it was dark, in order to gain access there, you'll need to first meet up with the owner Jane (she lived just down the block) and she'll direct you to the glamping tent. After a short 5 minutes drive into the wood, we got to the tent and since it was night time, we couldn't really see the outside of the tent, but inside- O-M-G- GLAMOROUS! Everything was wood so you still feel like you are in the wild, Queen size bed, lights and electricity, small refrigerator, table, fully functional toilet, shower with jets and a full size marble sink. It just couldn't get more inTents than this! After the tour around the tent, Jane was super sweet and asked us if we had any dietary restrictions and also what time we would like to have breakfast. We said no and then she said good night and left us to enjoy the song of the nature = cricket singing The next day breakfast was served at around 8am (thru our request), We didn't get our breakfast served to us in bed but it was atop of a TREEHOUSE!!! OMG moment #2, this is definitely a boy's (I mean MEN) dream come true!!!! Moving on to breakfast we had muffins, fruit salad, an APPLE SAUSAGE RING and scramble eggs.. I usually don't eat sausages but that apple sausage ring was delicious!!! So good that I had two servings! and I'm very critical about my scramble eggs but Jane was on point with the eggs, it was perfect- nice and fluffy, not runny and not rock solid. While we were eating, Jane suggested a few places we should check out and she even gave us detailed directions to each of these places.. she's just too nice! Unfortunately it rained both days we were there but still we had a great time hanging out in the tent and tree house. The town center itself is not big but it's cute in it's own unique way. Overall the whole stay was quite an experience, Jane was an excellent host and is super accommodating, the tent was amazing with everything well maintained, the food Jane cooked was legit! that Apple sausage ring so good!! I'm not a fan of camping but I will not mind coming back to Blue Hill Farm Tent for another glamping experience!

We unexpectedly had to travel to the Scranton area 2 get married under some difficult family circumstances with my father-in-law ill at the time. I wanted to make our wedding night something special despite the fact that it was not as planned. The owner was able, on short notice, to make arrangements to have a small wedding cake in our room, and had sparkling cider ready for us when we returned from exchanging our vows. The Silo room is the honeymoon suite of this location. A multi floor Suite with Gorgeous views, the Silo Room has a separate area with couch and television, as well as a oversized bathroom with whirlpool tub. A small kitchenette with coffee or tea making supplies, a small fridge and microwave made this a mini home away from home. One of the minor but strange things about this location is the door between the bathroom and the bedroom in The Silo room only has lace. You can look directly from the toilet to the bedroom, so if you are sharing that room with someone make sure there aren't any secrets between you! Breakfast was simple fare, but fresh and plentiful. Our order was taken the night before and everything was ready when we came downstairs. We had an omelet with ham and cheese, plenty of toast and muffins, and hot tea . If you like train memorabilia, this place is the spot for you. The owner has a mind-boggling assortment of miniature trains, antiques, signs and collectibles. There are other buildings in the Red Barn Village complex, including a retro store, a market, and mini golf. We did not get a chance to experience those, and we may need to do so next time. There will definitely be a next time, the owner here cares about his customers and it shows.

However I did not, as It was intended to be a romantic ski trip weekend that could also fulfill my craving for adrenalin. Despite being an adrenalin junkie and it being the first big snowfall of the season, I would have been perfectly content playing board games with my honey there on the farm, or gone cross country skiing through the hilly acreage, or kicking back to learn a thing or two about what it means to live off the grid and give back to the environment from the lovely Pam and Craig. If you're looking to pamper yourself or forgot what it meant to relax - hang out at the farm; you've found the right place. I can't wait to return and learn more about the history of the property or better yet, the future of it!

We stayed in the Rose Suite last weekend. We were greeted by Boston Terrier whose name I can't…read moreremember, but he was really cute. The people were very nice as was the room/sitting room. It's really "antiquey" on the inside, like you're visiting grandma's house. I'm more partial to lighter colors and not much into having all the tables/shelves covered with antique knick knacks but it was still pretty. There was a big Godiva chocolate bar waiting for us on our bed when we arrived- yum! The bed was super comfy but not the best for tall people- it came up a little short for my 6'1" hubby. The bathroom is small with separate hot/cold faucets and a claw foot tub, but no stand-up shower. There is a shower hose attachment and great water pressure, but having to hold it while bathing reminded me of a camp shower- except for the good water pressure part. There is a modern shower to use upstairs too if that's your preference- just ask. They have a large front porch with several places to sit and read- so we did. There's big pool in the backyard with a screened-in gazebo- necessary because of the mosquitoes. Pool temperature was perfect and there are several cats that hang out back there. A huge orange striped cat named "Wally" and his much smaller but same color sidekick "Julia" let me pet them while I was hanging on the side of the pool. That was very cute especially since most cats would want nothing to do with that. It was really hot there but that's not why I went for a swim. The only place within walking distance where we could have a drink was about half a block away- The Choconut Inn. Total dive and full of smokers- that's why I went for a swim- so the chlorine could kill the smoky smell and disinfect any part of me that touched anything in the bar. We then opened the bottle of wine we brought with us and read on the porch while it rained along with thunder and lightning- an awesome summer storm! Breakfast was amazing! Berries and cream, coffee, tropical carrot juice, I think(?) for the first course followed by the best ever egg's benedict with hashbrowns topped with chived sour cream and fresh blueberry muffins. It was all soooo good! (See pic of first course) Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others as well. Just bring books to read, some snacks and your own wine (you can't buy alcohol in PA unless at a bar/restaurant- I know, OMFG!) and you'll have a very enjoyable, relaxing visit.
