Seriously? Well, we thought it might be the transmission because we had been experiencing some "slipping", so we tried to find one of those big-name places to take a look for us. The Aamco that showed up here on Yelp was not where the address said it was (of course) so we looked again and found Mistech in a Google search. I called to make sure they were actually there and told the gentleman on the phone what had happened. I asked if he had time to take a look and do a diagnostic. He said sure, bring it around 1:00. We showed up and the worker (Jay, I think) came over and plugged his computer into the car. A code came up that said it was the O2 sensor. Now, I had brought this car to "my guy" about three times in regards to the problem with the slipping and the light and he kept telling me it was damp wires. -__- Not only did Jay tell us what it was, he showed us the codes and then proceeded to tell us we could probably fix it ourselves. When I asked how much for the diagnostic, he said, "Nothing." We went to an Advanced Auto Parts store and got the part for $75. My husband replaced it in about five minutes and the light went off and the car suddenly runs like it did when I first got it. Mistech was honest, friendly, and helpful (said we could call later and come back if need be) all for nothing for people who didn't even live in the area! If we EVER have a real problem with our transmission, we will CERTAINLY go back!!!

Our experience with Dave at DMI. I brought my car in for an inspection and a horn repair. I was…read moretold I would need to drop my car off and leave it for a few days as the part would need to be ordered. I was called the very same day a few hours later that my car was all good and could be picked up. When I picked up my car and went to start it after paying almost 500.00 the brake light was flashing and the anti skid light is on and the button that controls the anti skid light will not work. I immediately went back inside and Dave says " oh those lights were on when you brought it in". He then asks " when ls the last time your brakes were done" ? Didnt he just inspect the car? So shouldnt Dave know the condition of my brakes? His claim that the lights were on is completely untrue. Then he starts telling some story of all these things he now thinks it could be. He tried telling me because I use my emergency brake from time to time that's the cause of the brake light now flashing. And other ridiculous reasons for the lights on. The lights were NEVER on. I took my car to another dealer and he said the clock spring installed is bad. And the wheel was not straight when the work was done causing the lights that are now on. I bring the car in to Dave again and he tells my husband he will be charging for his diagnostic time and the car could be with him into the next week. My husband then said we would not be paying so Dave refused to look at my car after he did work and caused these other issues. In the meantime I called a local dealer to see if the clock spring had indeed been ordered and they said no. They said they hadnt sold a clock spring since last year. Dave at DMI is now refusing to let me check the date on the receipt he supposedly obtained from the local dealer. The same dealer that is insisting they did NOT sell DMI that part to install in my car. Dave stated "it's against the law to have a dealer tell you if a part was purchased from a dealer by a mechanic to put in your car". That's not true at all. Dave at DMI does an extreme amount of double talking and if you bring your car there the amount of red flags this guy is raising is alarming. If you dont agree with him he will refuse service. He has this notion that he is superior to all dealers and mechanics around him. I know this because he states that "he's the best around" in conversation. Something is seriously very fishy about this whole place and the service. My advice, go somewhere else. Dave thinks very highly of himself and he's really just stroking his own ego. I gave 1 star because I had to. Definitely even 1 star is not warranted. . UPDATE: So after taking my car to the dealership today we found a receipt so yes a clock spring was ordered. However, I was told that 1. My inspection sticker was not correct and 2. that without a doubt the brake light and anti skid light were on strictly due to the work Dave did on my car. As we tried to explain to Dave but his ego got the better of him the lights on the dash clearly came on because when he put the clock spring in he DID NOT have the wheel straight. Dave tried to insinuate the lights were on when I brought the car in. Dave had the wheel pointed at a 360 degree angle which was tripping off all the lights. Clearly he lied. And yes Dave had my car again to see why the lights were on ( knowing all the while what the reason was) and wanted to charge us again looking for all these causes but his less than professional work. He kept coming up with all these lame excuses for the lights on. Dave acted all tough today until I called and had an officer show up to check my inspection sticker that she verified was not legal. So to wrap up Dave had to reimburse me $325.00 with an officer present. I am having the car checked out by the dealer as we DO NOT trust a proper inspection was performed at this point. Dave thinks he's a tough guy and is extremely rude but not so rude with law enforcement present. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I had to give 1 star to write a review but ultimately it should be a negative one.

A VERY GENEROUS ONE-STAR RATING!! I dropped my daughter's…read morevehicle off at O'Neill Highway Auto to diagnose shaking at the front end while driving. After a few days, I was told it was fixed and was charged 100 dollars. I spoke with the owner/mechanic Richard, and he explained to me nothing major was wrong with the front end, but he did rotate and rebalance the tires, which in turn eliminate the shaking. I paid the man cash and told him my daughter would be by later that day to pick up her vehicle. The vehicle sat a few more days before she drove it again. This same morning, she asked me to follow her to work as a precautionary measure and as she was driving and I was following, I noticed one of her rear tires was wobbling uncontrollably. I flashed my lights to warn her to pull over immediately. I inspected the tire and wheel for any loose lug nuts or other visible problems but found none. Fortunately for us, we were not far from O'Neill Highway Auto, so we slowly limped our way back there. The garage was not open yet, so we left the car behind. I stopped by when they opened to hopefully get an explanation for what had occurred and he suggested maybe the rim was bent. I then questioned him by asking how this could be the case if he rebalanced the tires like he claimed he had done. At this point, I was upset and responded by telling him he owed me 100 dollars. This did not sit well with him, and he went from mild mannered mechanic to psychopath in about a millisecond. He screamed and cursed at me stating, "I don't like your F'N attitude" and told me to "get the F out of here". We went back and forth with some name calling which ended with no real resolution and me out 100 dollars. He wanted me off his property immediately for simply questioning his work. I removed the vehicle from the premises but still in need of repair. To conclude, do NOT trust this A** Clown to work on your car let alone any of your loved one's vehicles. You may regret it. And certainly, never, ever question his work...you might hurt his feelings. I WILL give Richard some credit though. He said he fixed the shaking at the front of the vehicle, which he did. He fixed it by moving the problem to the back end. WAY TO GO RICHARD!
