This is a very nice little country club, tucked away among the residential neighborhoods of Southglenn. It's not big or fancy, but the memberships are some of the best value for recreational facilities in the area. They've got a 9-hole golf course, regulation-length swimming pool, and two tennis courts. The staff are very friendly and accommodating; the whole place is run with a very personal touch. The grounds are beautiful and lush, with mature trees and gorgeous flowerbeds; it's like a little slice of the countryside embedded in the heart of the suburbs!

But this review is based on an experience with the current staff that warmed my heart enough to leave a review. After both my grandpa & grandma's funerals, guests were invited to Columbine for food & drinks. I remember really enjoying these, despite the sadness involved with losing a grandparent. My father recently passed away, so I reached out to Columbine to inquire about having Columbine host a similar event. My cousins insisted it was a waste of time because my dad was never a member himself. I submitted this request via email, and was surprised when I received a response saying that as long as I could find a current member to sponsor the event, they would be happy to host it. Since my grandparents hadn't been members for over a decade & I no longer live in the Colorado, I was certain that we didn't know any current members. I threw out the names of a few of my grandparents friends, but was sure they too were all dead. The next day, Columbine reached out to me to let me know that one name I listed was still a member & they had reached out to out to her & she would be happy to sponsor the event. I almost fell out of my chair. I could not believe this man had gone out of his way to do this for me & my family. Ultimately we didn't end up having it at Columbine, but I can't tell you how much it meant to me & my family. It suggests that they really do care about former members. Maybe they were so helpful because I mentioned how long my grandparents were members or maybe they need the business, but I don't care about the why. I care that they went out of their way when they definitely didn't have to.

The club came back and was unable to satisfy my request and though the initiation fee paid to date covers the social member initiation fee - they requested that I pay the balance due on the full time membership before downgrading. The math does not make any sense and the fact that they are asking for a balance to a membership I will not be utilizing is just greed! I cancelled my membership and if they choose to come after me - so be it!
