The real issue was the customer service at the front desk. When we arrived, the first thing the woman working there told us was that the courts were full, without first a hello or asking how she could help us. We actually had a reservation, so the interaction felt dismissive from the start. Later, when we needed assistance on the court, she seemed bothered that she had to help us, sighed, and rolled her eyes. Multiple people in our group noticed the poor response. A facility does not need to be perfect, but guests should at least feel welcome. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

Chino Hills is a very nice, quiet neighborhood and this park definitely shows that. It's located at…read morethe very end of it's city limits, so it's away from a lot of traffic. It's peaceful to drop by with your family and friends to enjoy. The park itself is really clean and well maintained. There are areas where there are lots of trees, but there are also a lot of open spaces. It offers a gazebo so families can host parties. It's a good space for about 30 people. It includes a BBQ area too. To hold a spot, you'll have to register through the city. The park has a play ground and basketball court, as well. One of the things I like about this park is the landscape. There are little hills in the area so kids can roll around. There are little paved trails that go up where you can sit on a bench and overlook the city. This is something you don't really see at other parks. There's a nice sized parking lot at the front of the park. If that lot gets full, there's plenty of more spaces a long the street. Overall, I recommend this place if you're looking to have a picnic somewhere around Chino Hills. It's very serene.

One end goes to Slate Dr., the other end heads up the hill to somewhere else - I didn't explore past the gate so I don't know where it headed to. There's a restroom and a small parking lot enough for about 15 cars. The entrance to the parking lot is only available on the eastbound lane on Soquel Canyon Parkway (you can't turn left into the lot from the westbound lane because there's a center divider). If you're coming from the 71 and heading west, make a U-turn on Elinvar Dr. to reach the lot.

Unlike our AYSO experience, which required me--a decidedly not-soccer-talented lifelong baseball player dad-- to referee games and coach teams, the only thing I have to do for this team is write checks, drive to various parks and fields within an hour or so of my home, and cheer. Recently, Huber Park in lovely Eastvale was the location of the games for the weekend, and we piled in the truck as a family to make the 40 minute run from the San Gabriel Valley. The park is situated in the general area of the Prado dam flood plain, between a track housing neighborhood and a commercial/industrial area. The field is surrounded and n all sides by a downslope hill, almost as if this originally was going to be a lake and they changed it to a grassy sports field at the last minute. More likely, this park serves as an overflow spreading ground in the event of a flood. The park has some picnic facilities, an impressive skatepark, and some play equipment for the kiddies. After the game, we walked over to find the park restrooms locked on a Saturday morning at 9:30 AM. Really, Eastvale? Get it together-- it's a public restroom near a kids' play area. Other than the restroom stupidity, seemed like a nice park. Or at least one that the neighbors might protect as a locals-only kind of thing.
