We purchased our home from Capstone Homes, LLC with the expectation that a new home--backed by their 10-year warranty--would provide security and peace of mind. Instead, our basement has been a nightmare from day one. We now have ongoing structural failure in the basement, with persistent water intrusion through side walls, cracks, cove joints, and support beams. Independent professionals, including Dry Zone, have confirmed that the basement slab was poured improperly, with separation joints not completed correctly--causing cracks to form and spread. We even have photos from before the foundation was poured showing standing water on the site, something we were never warned about as first-time homebuyers. The damage from flooding last year forced us to hire Servpro to tear out carpet, padding, and baseboards in what was supposed to be our family room. The space is now nothing but a water pit. We've been quoted $35,000 for repairs--on top of what we've already spent trying to keep our home livable. USAA canceled our insurance policy due to the structural issues, and the moisture caused health concerns in our family. Capstone Homes, LLC stalled until our warranty ran out. Homebuyers deserve honesty, quality, and a builder who stands behind their work. We received none of that.

**Disappointing Customer Service Experience**…read more My father recently contacted Insight Homes regarding the Anchor Run development and a particular home he was interested in. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. He called simply to get some basic information about the development and the home. Instead, he was told that they would not provide him with any information unless he came to the development in person. My parents live in another state, and they have a daughter who uses a wheelchair, so traveling to the area simply to ask some initial questions is not something they can easily do. They were not asking to complete the entire home-buying process over the phone. My father's intention was to get the basic information he needed and, if the home seemed like a good fit, make an appointment with Insight Homes to come see it in person. It was disappointing that they were unwilling to provide even basic information to a potential buyer. You would think a builder would want to make it easy for an interested customer to learn about a home and community so they can move forward with an appointment. Unfortunately, because of how this interaction was handled, my father has decided to look at other builders and developments instead. When someone is considering making a significant investment in a new home, customer service and a willingness to work with prospective buyers matter. A simple phone call to answer some basic questions could have led to an appointment and potentially a sale. Instead, Insight Homes lost a potential customer before the process even had a chance to begin.

They installed a gas fireplace with stacked stone, to match the stone on a previously installed patio (by CBG), from the floor to the top of the cathedral ceiling. A new front door with decorative glass was installed along with a matching mahogany finish garage door. The "gem" of the project was the remodel of the primary bathroom; beautiful tile, floor to ceiling, and marble basket weave flooring. The team of workers headed by Jeremy was excellent. They were professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I would highly recommend the Cherry Building Group for your next project.

Many households have a dog or two as pets and walk them regularly at least 2-4 times daily. Most dog owners are allowing their dogs via the guidance of the HOA to urinate and defecate on the grass strips and trees in front of resident's homes. They may not know or care about the damage they are causing to our environment and ultimately our health. My husband and I have tried to reason with residents about the dangers of this bad habit, but they only get offended. Before we moved to this community, we noticed how beautifully maintained the lawns and grass strips were and it was one of the main reasons we chose to move here. Now most of the lawns and especially the grass strips have been damaged and destroyed with brown burn spots from all the dog urine. The foul odor, especially in the summer is very offensive and at times overwhelming. I am constantly washing down the urine every day, two and three times a day to avoid a buildup of the odor, otherwise outside my home will smell like a back alley. I have reached out to the HOA and asked them to stop telling the residents this is ok to do, but they refuse. We are replacing the topsoil every year due to the damage the urine and feces is doing to it. There are hundreds of dogs in this community that are damaging the soil, trees and grass. This huge amount of urine is not being contained or maintained responsibly by dog owners but rather is permeating our community as if it is normal and safe to do. We have offered suggestions to the HOA which are simple no cost solutions that would ensure the safety and health of all the residents and the environment, but we have been met with threats, bullying, retaliation, stalking and harassment for our efforts. We live in a society where sadly people only care about themselves and not others or the environment until it is too late and ruined. I am aware of all the health hazards this much dog urine and feces can cause, and I do not wish to be a victim of a dog urine and or feces related cancer. This may seem like a trivial matter, but it is a major health risk in a community this size with such an overwhelming number of dogs, children, and elderly. We are all tracking these pathogens into our homes, no matter how careful we are to remove our shoes. I would not recommend moving to this community if you value your curb appeal and health.

C&M does not get credit what we've achieved Our experience with this contractor was completely unacceptable THEY ARE NOT CUSTOM BUILDERS we pacifically asked for reinforced concrete for a car lift in the garage, which was on the blueprints. two months later they brought up that they FORGOT to add it. The project began with a signed contract that specified a monolithic poured foundation, yet somewhere along the way that was changed to a block foundation without our consent . A change of that magnitude should never happen without clear communication, written approval, and full transparency. Instead, the work no longer matched the agreement I originally signed, and no proper explanation or accountability was provided. Once the contract was signed, it was like a completely different ball game. Communication deteriorated significantly, follow-through became inconsistent, and getting straight answers became increasingly difficult. It quickly felt like the level of attention and professionalism that existed prior to signing simply disappeared. There is no professional designer involved. They add whatever is cheapest on their end. The construction manager is very unprofessional and if anything comes up he throws an attitude and will not correct whatever got addressed. Once that last draw was made they deny any responsibility in fixing anything still not fully resolved. The most frustrating part was that the two owners were essentially nonexistent throughout the process. Attempts to get clarity or escalation were met with silence or were passed off, leaving no real leadership or accountability when issues arose. Calls, texts, and emails often went unanswered, and important decisions appeared to be made without proper communication or client involvement. A contract is a binding agreement, not a suggestion. When major aspects of a project are changed without proper authorization and communication breaks down entirely, it raises serious concerns about integrity, reliability, and respect for the customer. What should have been a straightforward construction project turned into a stressful and frustrating experience filled with uncertainty and lack of trust. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering this contractor to demand everything in writing, verify all changes, and ensure there is clear accountability before proceeding. It's been the worse experience of building our dream home but unfortunately we wanted the land that came with it. C&M is NOT what it was built from years ago. New owners(that have absolutely no construction skills ) took over and ruined everything Stonecipher had worked for. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME Company anymore. We didn't have an appointment but were greeted warmly and immediately accommodated. The fact that we were dealing directly with the home designer, sans a middleman, and one of the partners greatly influenced our decision. To see our ideas being brought to fruition; guided by their expertise in design & construction further convinced us we found the perfect builder. They offered a higher standard while staying within our requested budget. Once under contract, they handled everything. They let us know what stages were being executed and when our input was needed. Choosing options (exterior/interior colors, fixtures etc.) wasn't overwhelming because they guided us through the process. Their patience and expertise kept us on track. We marveled at the Amish worker's precise craftsmanship and skill, and were greatly impressed on how the Project Supervisor orchestrated all of the different companies & workers. The Home was delivered to us in a timely fashion, despite the current global situation. We were promised the "wow" factor and they delivered. In the contract you have to takt them to Arbitration which would cost me around 18,000.00 and not able to get money back. They are not people of their word, they lie and make excuses all the time. The Attorney General Office even told me this happens all the time and there is not anything they can do. That's why the builders have it in their contracts. It anyone is thinking of using Ashburn Homes I have pictures of the work that do so you can see for yourself.
