The Taco Tuesday special is worth the wait... the rest of the menu is skimpy. The queso and pita are pretty good together.

The drinks were good. Flavorful and enjoyable. The tacos were simple and tasty. The environment was friendly, parties interacting with each other. Music was also to my liking. Big Taco fans and although it's right up the road from us we hadn't tried them for "Taco Tuesday". We ordered one of each of the varieties they offered at the special $1 Taco Tuesday special. Not only were they great they even offered/included shredded cheese! They've got an extensive drink menu with many "fancy/gimmicky" drinks which are a lil overpriced but the ambiance is on point! Ok first off it took about 15 minutes for the waitress to come get out drink orders. The food was ok but the overly loud music was to much, our table could even really talk to each other because of the music drowning us out. The very large table seemed to throw off the wait staff. Had to get up to get my own refill of my drink. Ordered two different appetizers only received one. The prices are reasonable. The food time was quick. Now the waitress do remove one of the appetizers from our bill, but she removed the one we did receive and left the more expensive one we didn't get on the bill. read more

Had quite a peculiar experience on this Saturday night. While the staff was accommodating, the food still took 30-45 minutes to come out which was frustrating. Given the higher prices, the food was mediocre and served in petite portions, so you don't necessarily get your bang for your buck. If it weren't for the noteworthy ambiance of the restaurant, then my review would be much lower. Improvement in culinary execution could elevate this establishment to a higher rating. read more

There is NOWHERE like this place! I really can't think of a single negative thing to say. My partner and I got queso, Mexican pizza, tacos, and drinks. All were soooo yummy, our eyes were rolling back in our heads. And let me tell you, they are not afraid to pile on the meats! The drinks are creative and have spectacular presentations. Very fun and laid-back atmosphere with friendly servers. Prices are very reasonable for the amount and quality you get. New trendy Mexican restaurant. Downtown Ponchatoula. About 15 tables. Was a wait during the week. New place everyone is eager to try out. Staffed with plenty of wait staff. Service excellent. Food came out very quick for as busy as it was. Ordered the Mexican pizza. Served on a fried pita bread. Excellent taste. Was not Taco Bell. Very filling. My guest had tacos. Stuffed full. Came here for a nice lunch with my family and was severly disappointed with the staff and the food. Not to mention the LED lights screaming at a high pitch the entire time you're trying to eat. My mother informed the waitress that she is severely allergic to cilantro and asked not to have any in her food. The waitress brings out her tacos, full of cilantro. So my mother brought it to her attention. The waitress went back and was informed that some of their items come pre-made with cilantro...? Why aren't you preparing it from scratch instead of just buying pre-made food? Anyway, we waited a while for her to come back & let us know she can't get tacos because of this. So my mother ate her sides which I believe were corn and rice. When the bill came, she was charged $10 for her SIDES. Keep in mind, her meal was about $15. She told the waitress she isn't paying that much for her sides. The waitress came back after talking to the manager and the manager refused to take it off the receipt. It wasn't until my mother had to go into his office and teach him how people actually run businesses. The manager came our, put the receipt on our table and immediately walked away. No "I'm sorry for feeding you something you're allergic to". No offer to mitigate this issue. Just an attitude dropping off the receipt. There are true authentic Mexican restaurants out here that are much better quality, pricing and ambience. But if you enjoy over priced pre-made food with a side of interesting uniform choices, come here! I had the quesadilla and I would give it a 3/10.. honestly, taco bell is much better in my opinion. :) read more

This place is absolutely amazing! There is a bit of a wait during peak hours but the wait is well worth it. Food is great (their menu is hilarious), service is good and overall atmosphere is upbeat. Something I will venture as far to say the northshore needed, a bit place with a margarita as strong as New Orleans Superior Margarita. But all the taste!! So came here with a couple friends and food was mediocre. Atmosphere is pretty good and choice of music but what killed it was this waitress. When she was taking our checks we had 20 for the check and rest was supposed to be on card. When we tried explaining to her that's what it was for she took it and walked off. When she got back we found out the card was charged in full and when we mentioned it, she said we were supposed to tell her beforehand. How are we supposed to tell her beforehand if she just straight up walked away without the intent of listening. Fun place overall with friends but me don't think I'll be back anytime soon. read more

It was good I had the chorizo tacos and my friend had a carne asada chimichanga. The tacos came with fried potatoes and the chimichanga came with a guacamole salad and beans. The chimichanga was a bit greasy but the carne asada was tender. The only complaint I have is we ordered chips and salsa but there wasn't enough salsa. When I asked for more the charged us extra. They also charged for cheese on the tacos. Our bill was quite high for a brunch after all the additional charges. We found that to be a bit disappointing. The most horrible experience I have ever received in dining. My Family eats out twice a week and decided to go here. I had a party of about 15 people and they were busy. We had to wait on a table which was not a problem. Half of my party was seated when the server ( Preston)came around and asked what we were drinking. We gave our drink order and was told as soon as someone gets up we will have a table to move and put with the rest of your party. That was fine but as soon as a table was available that was not the case. Our drinks came and we were served standing when there was an empty table a few feet away. They did not move the table so we sat apart from the rest of my party. Our server (joseph) ask what the rest of us were drinking but he never gave us a menu we had to ask for them. So he then took our food order and when the food came out my husband had to ask so what am I going to eat this with my hands and then he brought out silverware. By then we are upset that we received bad service and that they did not try to accommodate us after pushing together multiple tables for other parties that were in there. To top it all off Joseph brought me food that I didn't order. I am allergic to shrimp and he brought me a shrimp shimmy changa after I ordered a chicken. I went over to the table where the rest of my party was and asked the server to put all the food on one ticket so I can pay for it all and several people heard him say ok. He said ok. So when I received my bill to pay which was for the people I pointed out at the next table plus my food and he added a 20% grat. I paid the bill no problem. So we proceeded to leave and this server screams at us your leaving without paying your bill and stealing food. I'm already upset about the bad service and not trying to accommodate my party. So I asked what are you talking about I just paid over 140.00 for food. I came back inside and she was screaming that we were rude and stealing, at this point I'm really pissed and told her I don't have to steal that's why I work and I just paid the bill . Instead of her explaining that my husband food and mine were on another ticket and that our drinks were on the ticket with the other table that there were two tickets instead of one, she accused us of stealing. I paid the other ticket ( no problem). But I'm pissed and so is my husband by the way the situation was handled. The service was horrible and instead of explaining so I can pay you accuse me of something your server did not do. They will NEVER receive my business or several of my friends and family who use to frequently visit read more
