First time here, I had heard many good things, so we decided to try it out. We arrived shortly after 5, it seat yourself so we chose a booth. It's looks rather vintage inside, very much a local bar feel. We browsed the menu in addition to the specials, and decided. I had a beer which was served in a frosted mug, talk about nostalgia. Pretzel bites were good and hot when they arrived. It was served with a cheese dip. The wings were very large, crisp and had plenty of sauce. We tried the bbq and the mild both were good. I personally didn't like the bbq as it was a vinegar base. Lastly I had the "famous" pizza. I kept it simple, pep and cheese. It was a very thin crisp crust. Had a good crunch to it. First ever visit and sadly our last. I hate to leave a bad review but this was one of the worst meals ever. Decor was tired and very dated. It was also super noisy and the dining room was less than half occupied. We started out with cheese curds which were overcooked and average at best on top of taking 40 minutes for them to be served. I had spaghetti with meatballs and a salad. Meatballs were hard, dry and very little flavor. Pasta sauce almost pasty in texture and was sweet in flavor with some spicy heat which was not very good. Salad was just chopped lettuce with two slivers of tomato and way too much cheese. My wife had a ribeye and fries. Fries were okay at best and the steak which was to be cooked medium well was over-done so it was try and tough. Both our meals came with garlic toast which was so undercooked it was soggy. No one gave me an update or apologized for the delay, and by the time I finally got my food, it wasn't even that hot. Tony and I have passed this small family style diner several times and remarked about their Cool name...Pink Cricket So, today we had some spare time for lunch and opted to check them out. Called number to make sure opened, that they have done in service and availability. She told me to wear mask and come on in Once inside it was sort of dark and gloomy. Old dark paneling and well sort of a dive bar feel. Booths and tables spotted around, long bar with mirror and several locals already perched on stools. We were greeted immediately and told to sit anywhere, so we choose a booth closest to the door. She told us the special and took our drink order. Coke for me and Pabst for Tony. She showed me the tiny restroom also. Tiny but very clean The place needs more light!!! The whole joint needs revamped! We ordered medium pizza with Pepperoni,onions and mushrooms and deep fried mushrooms. Pie was thin crust and cut into squares. Very good at first but as the pie got colder, Not so much. Extremely disappointed in tonight's experience. My husband and I have been residents of Lancaster for 30 + years. My husband is a Jet Pilot, eating out in many restaurants! Our pizza was severed burnt and the wings were also overcooked! Our wait was over 20 minutes to get our drinks, then an additional 30-40minutes before getting our food! Just not worth writing home about. Met friends who had already ordered the chicken wings. Our server delivered breaded, fried, and sauce-soaked wings to the table with no plates or silverware (or handy-wipes). Got the plates myself. Walked to the bar to ask for silverware. The wings were cooked well. The sauce was standard buffalo sauce. I ordered the barbecued chicken pizza and added onion (because the server didn't "think" there were onions on the pizza) and banana peppers. Red onion is usually standard and was missed. The soggy white onion in the pizza was no treat. Also, the pizza was delivered, as ordered, but with canned mushrooms added. I've NEVER had canned mushrooms (or fresh mushrooms) ever on a barbecued chicken pizza, anywhere. Our server said "that's the way it comes". The barbecue sauce was barely noticeable or taste-able. I did like the thin crust and "the cook" on the pizza. Nice crisp edges. NOTE TO OWNER: Put descriptions of what's on your specialty pizzas ON THE MENU. And, bring plates/silverware to the table immediately AFTER ordering appetizers. That way it isn't forgotten. Sloppy, sauced wings deserve a wipe or two delivered with the wings, also. My friends split a hoagie, salads, and a basket of fries. Condiments were't offered. There were none on the table. So, I found the ketchup and malted vinegar my friends wanted for the fries. Though they seemed like real fresh cut fries, had potential, and looked good upon arrival, they were undercooked in the middle and limp. My friends split the hoagie and enjoyed it. The side salads were sparse, uneventful, and iceberg lettuce only. The beer was cold. The mugs were frosted. Prices were good for the beer, but a bit high for the quality of the food. The pizza here is one for the locals. It's a thin crust and I prefer it with only one or two toppings. However I am quite the fan of the chicken wings at this establishment. I believe they are quite possibly the best chicken wings in the city of Lancaster. They make the sauce in house and the hot sauce is delightful. It is not extremely hot but definitely robust with flavor. The servers are always friendly and you can get yourself a frosty beer mug for your preferred draft. read more

I know this restaurant is a Lancaster national treasure, but the pizza crust is so thin it's not crispy and, therefore, should be eaten in. If carried out, by the time we arrive home, it's really terrible. It's a bit light on sauce. If you like crispy pepperoni, don't count on it on this pizza. Likewise, for what you get, it's a pricey pizza. I wouldn't recommend it on any level, but I love older Mom and Pop restaurants and try to give them a break in case they're unaware of their help and the quality of their food being potentially compromised as a result. We've tried the pizza about three times and are willing to give it another try. Small businesses are important to our community. read more

After being a customer for 20 years (going with my family as a kid) I am unsure if we will be customers anymore. the quality of the food has drastically deteriorated. our last visit consisted of a Luke warm pizza with absolutely no crust on it. This visit tonight, we were given an orange pizza....a literal layer of grease just floating and dripping on top. the pizza was soggy and the amount of napkins that were needed to get just half the grease off was ridiculous. the wing sauce has changed as well and without notice. The signature red bbq wing sauce is no longer, now they have a cheap Kroger brand tasting bbq sauce. This was such a sad experience and I hope that I am wrong in saying, I don't see this place staying open much longer with quality like this. read more

One in my party asked if she could get a 2liter. The waitress came back and said no that was carry out only. My friend said OK and the waitress went on to defend the position because "she asked the owner" i asked why so nasty??? I dont get it. Wow, why did I wait over 11 years living in Lancaster without coming here?! Visited on a Wednesday at dinner and plenty of tables were open. We sat down and were promptly greeted by our waitress. She was friendly and attentive by keeping our drinks filled. The pizza was thin crust and delicious! We ordered wings since they were part of the nightly special and were pleasantly surprised how delicious they are. The wings are the exact size as the wings from Roosters, so if you're ever in the mood for Roosters wings in Lancaster, but can't get in their much too small location, I wouldn't hesitate to utilize the Pink Cricket to satisfy your wing fix. I can't believe what just happened! I have been helping a friend who's husband died last week and she wanted Spaghetti for dinner so we called in an order for both of us. The service was really dismissive and my friend was having a rough time. As we left the building her bad with the dinner broke she went back in and asked for them to re-bag it and then they were out and out rude and told her if she came back they would call the police . Excuse me her husband just died! Yes she is going to be a little up and down and sure a little flighty. But we are not drunk, nor have we even had a single drink. They run great specials Monday thru Saturday and it's usually a large pizza with some kind of side like large basket of fries or chicken wings. Parking is either out front or along the side of the building. When you walk in you can seat yourself either at the bar or a table/booth. Service is friendly and good, they are not the fastest in the world but they get your orders right and I will sacrifice speed for a friendly, kind server any day. Now, the food...they are known for their thin, crispy pizza with plenty of sweet pizza sauce and cheese blend. The pizza really is quite special, there is really nothing like it in the area and it's a great change up from all the main stream, cookie cutter pizza joints. We usually get the special for the night which is the large pizza and app. The mozzarella sticks are good along with the cheese bits. But we love their basket of fries (fair fries) and the chicken wings are very good, I would recommend to order them dry with sauce on the side. The food and beer is super cheap and they are consistent; I can't tell you a time when something didn't taste right or different.
