This was my first ever solo photo shoot and my first boudoir session, so I was definitely nervous going in. From the moment I arrived, everyone at Pink Door made me feel so comfortable and welcomed. Marriah did an amazing job with my hair and makeup, and Angela was an incredible photographer. She gave clear direction, kept me laughing the whole time, and made what felt intimidating at first turn into such a fun experience. I was also pretty overwhelmed during the outfit try-ons since I'd never worn lingerie before, but they were so patient, kind, and helpful. I never felt judged or rushed. Wonderful first time photo sesh [Vacaville CA] What an amazing experience. I never thought I would be doing a boudoir photo shoot but there I was responding to an ad in Instagram and booking for a session... I had a 15-min consultation appt to give me a rundown of what to expect and was given a date to schedule for the photo session. When I chose the appt date I didn't realize that I chose the following day after the consultation call and there I was yesterday in Downtown Vacaville ready to capture this empowering experience. I made it to the studio, waited for my appointment time, I had a few minutes to spare... and the rest is part of my self-love history. My boudoir photography session (I felt) was all about celebrating me-- beauty, confidence, and individuality. The experience was a first for me and the ladies made me feel comfortable, they made it fun, and they were so supportive overlooking all my imperfections where I was able to truly shine. I didn't have to think at all during the photo shoot... they guide you through the entire session. The session lasted about three hours. Thank you to Kristen who did my makeup and hair. I took a chance around New Year's and decided to book my first boudoir photo shoot. It's been something I've wanted to try for years, but it's one of those expenses that can be hard to prioritize. Knowing that I'll be turning 50 later this year, I felt a bit like "well, it's now or never" when an Instagram ad dropped into my feed as I was scrolling. Their special featured their new Shower Set, which sounded fun and caught my eye. I appreciated that there was almost immediate guidance and preparation. I got a phone call and was able to schedule it for the following month, to give me a chance to have my hair done in advance. There were emails to ensure that I knew what to expect. Now, I love photography, but I'm not really a glamour girl. I'm really uncomfortable with makeup or a lot of product in my hair. I wanted to have as little editing and such as possible. There was room in all of the questionnaires for me to express this. Marriah, their makeup artist, checked in with me to ensure that I was comfortable with her work. No foundation, no lipstick, no blush. Just tinted moisturizer, mascara, light eye shadow and lip gloss. Even the tinted moisturizer was too much for me, so she used powder to tone it down and I felt much more comfortable. Cecily was my photographer and she was so sweet! She later let me know that she's one of the newer members of the staff, but I wouldn't have guessed. She ran the show, knew how to help me into the poses, directed me to get the most out of the time and even accommodated my hopes of trying to mock up a couple of Instagram screenshots that I've saved recently! (They ended up being a few of my favorites.) It was definitely tough to decide which ones to order, but what a fun problem to have! I didn't really know what to expect because, despite the process being fun, the photos themselves are where the rubber meets the road. I was so impressed! There weren't really any hard no's in the shots that we initially scrolled through. Most of the elimination process catered to the aspects of myself that I felt most comfortable highlighting. Oh, and the following day, I heard from their photo editor, Riley, who's been incredibly sweet and reiterated that I'll get my digital copies of the images in approximately two weeks. Now, mind you, they seem completely capable of giving their clients the full buffed, glammed look too! It's just not my style, so we didn't go that direction. Oh, and if you glance at my proof sheet, I know it's a little hard to see since I've intentionally blurred them, but the outfit I wore for the shower set was my own. They're very open to letting you bring your own shoes, accessories and outfits, if that's what you want. All in all, I had a blast! It was a bit of a drive for me, but well worth it! Don't wait! Stunning boudoir photography with hair, makeup, and plenty of outfits and sets to choose from in downtown Vacaville! I saw an ad for Pink Door Photo Studio's Black Friday special. I thought about it for a while, and finally took the plunge and tried boudoir photos. It's something I've wanted to do for a while. The Black Friday special was $99 and came with $100 off a photo package, polaroids of purchased images, and a magazine of purchased images. I filled out a questionnaire about what sets I was interested in, my size, and what kind of outfits I'd like to wear for my session. I went on a weekday at 12 PM and found street parking. It was just a quick walk to the studio. Mariah greeted me at the door and took me upstairs. She was so friendly, funny, and played some great music for the hair and makeup portion. I felt comfortable with her. She asked me what makeup I wanted and told me she'd curl my hair. I asked for makeup that looks like me but a little fancier and she nailed it with the natural glam makeup look she did for me. My hair looked super cute too. After that, Mariah had me go to the dressing room to drop off my stuff and try on outfits the team picked out for me. I chose my top 3: a white one piece, a black one piece, and a brown two piece. The team also let me bring my veil and wedding heels to my shoot. I was also able to wear my glasses for some photos. Once I chose my outfits, I met Tamika and Angela. They worked together to take my photos and give me detailed directions on how to pose. Both were friendly and patient with me. They're great at taking amazing photos and you could tell they love what they do and they want you to have fun and enjoy the photos too. Tamika, Angela, and Mariah adjusted my hair, outfit, and my poses so each shot would look great. After the photos, I changed back into my regular clothes and Mariah offered some snacks and water. I appreciated that because I was feeling hungry at that point. I got my snacks and water and was told to wait downstairs while Tamika and Angela did some edits for my photos. The photo viewing session was as fun as taking the photos! I sat down on a couch and looked at my photos on a big screen. It was tough narrowing down my favorite photos because everything looked so good! In the end, I wasn't able to narrow it down too much and I left with 70 photos. The team was very transparent about their pricing and they offer payment plans if needed. It was a splurge, but I know I'll cherish my photos forever. My team was Marriah as my Hair and makeup artist, and Angela as my Photographer. Marriah greeted me as I walked into the door and took me upstairs. She immediately got to work and she asked me if I had any specific looks that I like or what my day-to-day makeup routine is. We continued that conversation as she curled my hair. She was so gentle and kind and honestly just a whole vibe. Once Maria was done with my hair and makeup, she showed me in the mirror, and I could not believe it. Somehow, I knew it was me, but I also still couldn't believe it. The makeup look was soft yet elegant but also felt like a full beat without it being cakey. My hair was absolutely fantastic, I'm writing this the day after the shoot and my curls are have stayed put!! And again without the cakey-ness and feel of immense amounts of hairspray. Following hair and make up, i then transitioned over to picking out outfits. They were about 6 to 7 different outfits that I could choose from but I immediately gravitated towards my top three. I picked the three showed them to Angela and walked over to start the shoot. Angela was so incredibly sweet. She was very gentle with me when getting me into my poses. I think she could tell that I probably needed a little more prompting to get the right angles lol but she was very receptive and patient with me. By the time we got to my second outfit, I was getting the hang of it, i was understanding all of the cues in the angles. As soon as I hit them, Angela and Marriah all cheered and kept gassing me up lol. It made me feel so empowered and I was ready to see them immediately lol. I was completely comfortable and even started dancing in the middle of the shoot. The vibes were immaculate. The studio is incredibly gorgeous. I can't believe the book wall was handmade in the The rest of the rooms really take you to a novel and magical place even though you were in a studio in downtown Vacaville. Once the shoot was done, Angela did a few edits on my photos, and brought me back into the room downstairs to view them all. I could not believe that I was literally looking at pictures of me. LMAO I felt like they were all editorial shoots, or i was in America's next top model or something. It was so hard to pick and narrow down the Images that were taken to be turned into prints. Before going in, I thought I would only want a couple of the photos. I couldn't imagine me wanting more. After doing the viewing room with Angela, and also hearing her live reactions to the pictures on the big screen, I wanted to buy every single one of them. Unfortunately, I am a girl Balling on a budget lol. But I had plenty of time to review the photo packages, to make financial decisions. The team checked in via text message a few weeks prior and a few days leading up to the shoot, and sent the photo packages and prices over for me to look at. Again, I didn't think that I would want to buy them all, lol, but I did end up, upping my package and did an add-on. The quality of those photos, and with just with those few edits, were absolutely stunning. Pink Door offers Affirm options and other payment plan options. With this being available I felt a lot more comfortable upping my package so that I could really enjoy the photos that I took that day. I was able to get two sneak peaks, and I shared them with my closest friends, and they literally had their jaws on the floor. It was one of the most incredible experiences that I've ever done, and I highly highly HIGHLY!! Recommend that every person, age, gender, size and color do a shoot like this with a crew like this!! I feel so comfortable in my skin, and I didn't notice any flaws about my body that I had prior to me going into the shoot. The entire experience was incredible! Everyone should have the chance to have 3 lovely women tell them how beautiful they are for several hours! I left on a high of self confidence. I've had my make up done several times, but this was the first time I truly loved how it turned out without making adjustments. She took in all of my preferences and usual routine into consideration. What an incredible experience! From the time I walked in and was greeted by Bre, I felt like a goddess! She beat my face to the Gods, made my hair look like a 2000's VS angel, and we had a great conversation all while listening to a sexy, fun playlist. After makeup and hair, Tamika introduced herself and we went through wardrobe. Bre and Tamika both helped me decide on my looks and it was fun trying them on for them. Then, came the shoot itself. I feel confident in my skin, but not necessarily infront of a camera and Tamika was absolutely incredible in helping with poses, getting awesome shots, and placing everything just so. Oh my God I'm so glad I did this. I mean I love getting my photo taken, but I've never done boudoir before. They were so nice and it was so cool. All the steps of getting hair and makeup done, picking out the outfits and possible props and rooms and helping me with my poses. I had the opportunity to join their "Shades of Beauty" Campaign where they photographed 100 women. The overall experience was wonderful. Brianna did my makeup and made me feel so beautiful! It felt like we were friends haha. Their selection of lingerie was pretty good, I don't really have any complaints but I did feel rushed in the choosing-which-lingerie-to-wear-process. While the photographer's skills were wonderful, she felt a little rough around the edges, especially even after saying it was my first time doing something like this. I also understand that she has probably had MANY first time people, but perhaps a gentler approach. And I suppose it was also my bad for being directionally challenged - she would tell me to pose and I would blank on which was my right or left. It def made me feel better and was easier when she showed me the pose to copy (visual learner I guess). I did really enjoy the different sets they had - my favorites were the black room and the collage room. Choosing the photos afterwards was the hardest part! I wanted all of them so I chose only a few but I was able to come back and purchase a couple more which was neat. The photos were edited quickly and they were able to make some edits as well so I would be 100% happy. All in all, a great experience and I would go again. read more

Bought the Black Friday 2025 deal and went in for my second boudoir shoot this month While my first session was solely with Tamika and Bre, this one had Angela doing primary photography and Kristen capturing social media content. All four were rock stars. Extremely patient with my nerves and inexperience, made me feel at ease and even beautiful/ sexy (I stg that Bre is a frickin' magician, she made me look EXACTLY how I imagined which was not an easy ask and I would have wept but I was not about to ruin her beautiful work.) Tamika and her team even helped me build on my geeky ideas for a gift for my fiancé and found me this crazy rainbow sparkly disco ball dress to add to one of my outfits. I 100% need to find one of those for my own closet. The ladies were so professional and chill and never made me feel like anything but a professional supermodel. And trust me...I've been programmed since puberty to feel like I have to apologize for how I look! While I'm still not 100% on my appearance or fitness level, your team got my aura and confidence and happiness levels so high that day (and captured the photos to prove it) that I'm truly in awe of their skills. I frickin love Pink Door. Like my first visit I ended up loving even more images than I expected to but luckily this time I had budgeted for a bigger set! Original review posted October 2025: I am delighted to say all the online reviews I read prior to my visit were true: I had a fabulous experience and hope to return to Pink Door for another session once I've saved up some money. Bre was an incredible stylist and made me feel at ease and glam (NOT an easy feat!). I was also very relieved and happy to see such pretty wardrobe options in my size (I'd brought my own stuff as backup since I'm so used to costumers not understanding how plus sizes work.) Tamika set up great photos, and gave very clear instructions and feedback so I never felt confused or lost. She was warm, friendly, encouraging, and chill (as was Bre, who helped on-set). After changing back into my regular clothes at the end of the shoot, I got to go through my photo gallery with Tamika on a big screen and immediately sorted stuff between "no" and "maybe," culling down to the "yes" images really quickly. And there were so many more in the YES category than I was expecting! This was an impulsive self-care experiment for me, a person who typically does not like photos of herself AT ALL. And I wholeheartedly credit the team at Pink Door for providing an experience and crafting a photo set that I loved, and am excited to receive once edits are complete. This was exactly the upbeat and fun experience I'd hoped for, that so many reviewers on the site and social media had raved about. I will be honest: prices are high but I believe for the service and product they're very fair. I came across the studio's name on Instagram because they offered a steep discount for "Spooky" boudoir photo shoots for Autumn 2025, so I took advantage of that to save some money. I ended up ordering a digital photo package rather than print, but in future I might splurge on the printed products. As I said earlier: I consider this experience top-notch and will be returning, even paying full price (!!) if I can get the money and time together. I never had a boudoir photo session before and it was a great experience! I was pretty nervous, but Marriah (the makeup artist) and Angela (the photographer) were amazing! They made me feel comfortable and hyped me up! A little bit encouragement goes a long way. I truly felt beautiful and confident in my own skin. I loved how Marriah did an amazing job with my hair and make-up, so flawless and gorgeous. At the end of my session, I asked her what products she used, and she provided me with the information. She is super sweet! Angela definitely knew how to capture the moments, even the candid ones. I was able to preview the photos with her at the end, and it was so difficult to choose. I wanted ALL of them! I cannot wait to see the finalized photos! Shout out to Angela and Marriah for making my firs boudoir experience memorable! I had my first boudoir photoshoot and loved my experience. The photographer and stylist made me feel very comfortable. I enjoyed the process from start to finish. I highly suggest bringing your own wardrobe if you're particular about styles and colors like I am. I was really nervous about the photo selecting process because I knew it was going to be very difficult to make my final selections. Brianna made the photo selection process extremely easy and painless which I very much appreciated. I wish I could have taken home more photos but I'll definitely be doing this again in the future! read more

I can not say enough good things about this place. What a great experience! From the moment you get there, you immediately get taken in and pampered, getting your makeup and hair done. I forgot the girls name, but she made sure I got exactly the look I was going for. Then you get to try on your outfits, they give you quite a few options, and start your shoot. The two girls were absolutely amazing, your ultimate hype girls. Make you feel so pretty and comfortable and guide you through every pose. The only thing I wish was a little different was that I got a day or two to pick my photos. There's a few I wish I had bought, but there's next time. I'll definitely be doing it again.
