After a cursory search on Google to finally square away setting up a living trust for my father and mother, I called Carl at PINK Legal explaining what I was looking for. Carl was very thorough over the phone and did an excellent job at explaining the whole process to me, and was quick to send an email once we got off the phone with the necessary information from my parents to fill out and gather prior to the in-person appointment, which made the process go as smooth and efficiently as one could hope for. When my family and I arrived at his office, his receptionist (I apologize for not getting her name) was very pleasant and greeted us warmly into their waiting room/area, offering us water while we waited for the appointment to start (we tend to arrive a bit early for meetings). The thing I appreciated most about this experience was how casual, yet substantive he was with taking the time to convey to my parents how the living trust would work with the handling of their estate. The manner in which he was able to unpack how the trust would function during certain life events made me confident minutes into our meeting that I couldn't have asked a better person to help us with setting this living trust for the family. I was also told that I would start receiving solicitations in the mail requesting a filing fee and letting me know that fees are paid directly to the County Recorder and to ignore the letter.
