If you're looking for an experienced esthetician I recommend stopping here and booking with Michelle. I was tired of my skin looking dull from the harsh winter air as well as hormonal acne breakouts. I made my first appointment a little over a month ago after reading hundreds of reviews for multiple spas/salons in the Milwaukee area and settled on a place close to home. The facial service is $79 for 60 minutes. It was the most relaxing 60 minutes of my life. My skin was glowing, smooth, and I felt extremely calm afterwards. I had my second appointment a month later and my skin has been going a little crazy from some stress I've been going through. Michelle did some extractions, which are usually painful, and they weren't painful at all. She recommend a high frequency treatment and explained throughly what the treatment would do for my skin and how it would feel. It didn't hurt but my facial muscles were a little twitchy afterwards. She also recommended some Acne relief pads to reduce breakouts. When you get a facial you get a bit of arm, shoulder, and head massage. The level of pressure applied was perfect. Two days later and my skin is looking so much better! Breakouts have stopped and the extraction site redness is gone. Needless to say I've booked my third appointment and will probably continue to make appointments to keep my skin in check. Quite possibly the worst hair salon experience ever. I went in today for a hair cut and color. I showed a photo of the type of color I was looking for (a nice strawberry blonde with highlights) - I ended up with light ash blonde with platinum blonde highlights - - chunky streaks of platinum. I told her I wanted to cover/minimize the emerging gray hairs at my temples and around the frame of my face. she replaced my gray hairs with streaks of platinum blonde - - which now look like streaks of silver. Bad choice. Also, I went in with long hair - all one length. I told her I wanted layers and some nice, wispy bangs to frame my face a bit. I ended up with a one sided mullet cut. I'm not even kidding. The 'bangs' were parted on the right (severely) then cut all the way back ot my ear with a drastic 90 degree angel....rather than softly blended as I had asked for. TWICE she elicted the help of another stylist - - first to try and correct my color with toner after she realized it was "a bit too brash" - - and a second time to try and blend the bangs better because "I just don't blend very well on the left side..heehee'. The second stylist couldn't really do anything - - the damage was already done. I have an appointment early Monday morning at another salon to see a color specialist to try and correct this fiasco of color - - and another appointment after that with a consultant to see what can be done about this horrendous cut. Needless to say, i won't be returning to Pink Lemonade ever, If only Yelp allowed me to give a NEGATIVE 5 star review - - I hate to even give them ONE star...but that's all that's available. I started coming here this year. I needed to cut my hair to a short length so I chose a bob. I am so picky about how my hair is cut and who does it. I prefer to stick to one person because eventually that stylist will become familiar with you and know what you are looking for. I chose Alli because a co-worker of mine already had her for a stylist so i said 'oh what the hell, i like my co-worker's style' so lets try it! OMG, I love Alli!!! She is so up beat and knows what she is doing. I will not go to anyone else to get my hair cut!! She is a top tier stylist, which means out of the different amounts to pay for a hair cut..she has the highest amount which is 62.00 a cut. TRUST ME..she is worth it...but only if you are willing to spend the money! I dont mind paying that much because i know i will get what i am looking for! read more

This spa is decorated beautifully and is in such an adorable part of town. The staff was very friendly. My favorite part of my visit (had a facial and a massage) was the massage I received from Zach. I suffer from tension headaches and informed him of this beforehand. He asked me a few questions and truly listened to where my pain points were. Hands down, the best shoulder, neck, and trap massage I have ever received! Found exactly where I was hurting and worked on those areas until the knots subsided. AMAZING! What a wonderful morning at the Spa. My guest and I were pampered with a facial massage, body massage and pedicure. Staff was wonderfully professional and discreet. Each staff member was kind, treated us both with respect and were concerned about our experience. I not only will go back, I have booked this same spa experience for myself and my daughter the day before her April wedding. (And have added manicures). Pink Lemonade is popular because they are good at what they do. Make sure you schedule over a month out! Parking is plentiful in back. Bathroom is beautiful and clean! Lots of product if you needed anything. All of our concerns regarding massages, and any questions were dealt with and treated in a professional manner. Customer service is not here at all. No communication between the appointments staff and the stylist. I called to make sure before I left and explained I was going to be 30 min late and would that be ok before I left or should we reschedule for my free lash fill. It's a 30 min drive there. The front desk lady said that would be ok and yes that I should come in and she will do as much as she could. I came at 1130 and 10 min before I get there, I get a text from the stylist stating it's too late you can't come. I told her, the lady at the front said it would be ok and I'm now literally 5 min away. So, I get there at 11:28 and was told my stylist is in a meeting now and can't do the appointment. The manager came out and said well, it was a free service to begin with. ( I was a lash model) nonetheless, I took my time out of my life to help out the stylist and check out the salon. I am in the beauty industry with 15 years of experience and this is just not ok. This is subpar customer service. She said she was sorry and sent me on my way. Little do they know, how horrible and unsettling this experience made me feel. Just because it was a free service.. I am a great referral. I could have sent 5 people over to the salon in the next week with a good experience. You do the math. So, I write this from a place of love to help the business grow. If there were not people that did this, then businesses would not be where they are today. The way this was handled was not great customer service or a great experience. This place is cute, but seems to be putting too much effort into its science , products, social and community strengths and not putting enough time into educating the staff on communication, customer service and the "experience" should come before all. I definitely think I'll pass on pink lemonade. It left a bitter taste in my mouth. Not enough sugar. Little do they know, that I have a beauty clientele that follows me and upwards of 500 women that I work with closely and write wedding, fashion and beauty blogs. read more

I came in with my mother in law last August. We had a mini spa day-prices are not cheap here. I came in for a touch up on my roots and semi permanent color all over. We also had pedicures which was nice. They are all very friendly and it is close to my home. Unfortunately, my stylist was not very experienced and my hair came out very green toned and uneven. Another stylist fixed my hair and it looked better but was not what I really wanted I am not into chunky low lights (too 2000s). I ended up spending at least 5 or more hours just on my hair color which was a waste of time and should have taken maybe 1.5hrs. I get my roots retouched every 4 weeks so seriously should not be this complicated. They comped that portion of the bill which is why it is a 3. I will not return and I miss the downtown salons in Milwaukee much better quality and same price. This salon is overpriced for the skill set of the workers. This is probably why the reviewing is so low-spend a lot expect better value. Value (results of hair services) is too low for the price (prob should lower your prices)! read more

If you go here, pay very close attention to what you are being charged for. I recently went there for a color job and in a nutshell, it was horrible, and the stylist knew it. She tried to fix the problem, and, after unsuccessfully doing so, had me come back to fix it, free of charge (mind you, I had to wait a whole week for my fix-it appointment, and walk around for 7 days with terrible hair). My hair still looked bad after my fix-it appointment and I ended up calling the manager to ask for my money back. The manger was agreeable and promptly refunded me (less the money I tipped the stylist). I asked the manager exactly what I was being refunded for. She told me it was for the color, the highlights, and the botanical treatment. Botanical treatment?! I never asked for a botanical treatment and I didn't even know what that was!!! Turns out the deep conditioning that the stylist did to my hair after coloring it was not for free, even though she didn't ask me, or TELL ME, that she was doing it. I didn't ask for it and didn't even know I was getting it until it was in my hair. I assumed that there was no charge for this service, thinking that the stylist would surely ASK me if I wanted something before charging me for it. Nope. I found that to be very unprofessional. If you go here, make sure to ask to see that little slip of paper that the stylist hands to the cashier when you pay. I always noticed that my stylist wrote things on this piece of paper, cupped it in her hand, and gave it to the cashier without letting me see it. I really trusted my stylist so never thought much of it, but after this fiasco, I wonder how many things I had been over-charged for at this place. read more

I usually get my haircut at a place in Germantown- and decided to try Pink Lemonade because a friend referred me and I had an old high school friend work there and decided I needed a cut. Now, I would be partial because the girl, Stacy, I went to HS with and cut my hair... But she REALLY gave me an awesome haircut. And styled it where I actually loved it. It's the first haircut I have gotten in a long time where I felt pretty. As for the Gtown place.... I was shown how their crappy cut was uneven and the so-called layers were only ON THE RIGHT side of my head! Who does that?!? Thank you for the awesome heart cut! When I called in was told $35 and it could go up from there. And it was for 7 foils! I'll spend the money if it's gonna be a great job. In an area that is virtually devoid of "gems," Pink Lemonade is a pretty happenin' place. My sister took me here for a spa day to celebrate my birthday. Who was I to argue? We started with 60 minute massages, and mine was just right. (Thanks, Jasmine!) Next up was a facial, and Lexi really knew her stuff. So relaxing..and while my face was getting steamed/treated she gave me another round of foot massage - so amazingly wonderful. Last up was a manicure, and I was all polished up, relaxed and ready to go! The women who work in this salon - and there are many of them - are trendy, hip, and hot. I have worked in an Aveda salon for 6 years and needed to find a great place with a calming and hip Aveda vibe. The location is beautiful and so well maintained. Stacey gave me the BEST massage I've ever had, she deserves a 50% tip for the magic hands she has. I have never heard anything but rave reviews about this Salon and Spa, and I will most certainly be visiting Stacey at least once a month. I am now a full time student but I still work for Aveda, they're very well known in the company as being outstanding and I believe Im going to be having my hair done here from now on. I went here thinking it was a high-end salon and I have been getting my hair done awhile.. I was disappointed. I am very picky about my hair with it being bleach blonde I have a specific shade I like.. and when I called I asked for their best stylist who was experienced and they gave me the youngest girl who had just gotten out of school. Now nothing is wrong with that but I asked for white blonde hair and I can get that color but I was getting just my roots and tone done and she messed up and I left the salon with pinkish orange hair ... not what I wanted. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone I know or not know! I was getting my hair done before I was going on vacation. The stylist that did my hair messed up and RUINED my hair! Dyed it wrong not the style that I wanted or the color I wanted. I called back the next day saying I didn't like it. I said I don't care who does it to fix my hair I just wanted my hair to look better than it did before I went on my trip and they were so UNHELPFUL! I thought I'd try this place for a change of pace. I asked for an experienced hair stylist. At the time I called, they set me up with someone who had 20 years experience. When I arrived at the salon it looked like a nice place. I brought in pictures to show the stylist. We agreed not to cut much of the length. The hair wash with massage was nice and relaxing, however the haircut I paid for was not. It was totally not what I asked for, or showed her. She basically just blow dried my hair and sent me on my way, for $58, plus tip. It is going on about a month now and everyday I look in the mirror dreading how to style my hair and waiting until the ugliness of this haircut grows out. I have no idea how my hair could have turned out so terrible by someone with so much experience? Anyway, I will not be returning. This person clearly did not care and needs to pay more attention to what the customer wants. I did contact the salon and they did refund me, which is small price to have to live with a crappy, ugly haircut. I will not be returning. read more
