We used Pink Petals for our Monterey wedding in June 2023, and were quite impressed by Sarah's work. We had a general coastal theme and wanted colorful flowers (some blue for him, peachy pink for me), but didn't have specific wedding colors. Additionally, we gave Sarah a lot of free reign on the types of flowers to include. We found some photos of example bouquets that we liked for reference, but didn't know how to bring in the coastal elements. Sarah suggested creating these great centerpieces that had a variety of lighthouses in the center, and little kayaks for us. My husband and I were recently married at the Shadowbrook Restaurant in Capitola. The restaurant recommended Sarah and Pink Petals, should we need any floral arrangements. And I can confidently say that we couldn't be happier to have gone with that recommendation. We got married on fairly short notice, but Sarah was happy to accommodate and worked most closely with my mother to pull the arrangements together. Considering my mother was relaying most of my requests to Sarah (by phone and email, no less), I can't believe how perfect they all turned out (not a knock against my mom, but an excellent read by the florist). The wedding was small, so we only needed 2 table arrangements, my bouquet, and 2 boutonnieres. A few things that made the experience great: 1) she communicated very well from the beginning 2) she worked with me to make adjustments so I could save some money 3) she delivered the flowers herself and made a point of meeting me the morning of my wedding (I had delegated the task of accepting the delivery to my maid of honor, but Sarah specifically asked to see me because she wanted to make sure I was happy with everything and she patiently waited around until I arrived). We went to meet with Sarah for the first-time last summer (approximately 10 months in advance) for my son's wedding and she did not disappoint. Sarah is warm and personable, and she didn't try to push anything and really listened to what my daughter in-law envisioned for the wedding. Our centerpieces consisted of 2-3 minis vases with a few flowers in each, per table. Definitely added pop of colors to each table. She knew my exact vision for the centerpieces and also asked for color schemes so the flower could match dresses of relatives, going above and beyond what I would expect a florist to do.
