I went to to the flower shack to get a corsage and boutonniere for prom and keep in mind the lady on the phone that works there told me the price was 35$ for corsage and 25$ for a boutonniere. When my boyfriend goes and picks them up they charge him 40$ for the corsage and 25$ for the boutonniere. Which is not the price she told me over the phone and should 65. The price rounded up to be with the fees 71$. However when my boyfriend got his card statement back on his recent purchase it says 81$ I'm not sure how it ended up to be 81$. But this is not okay how this ended up to be. I recommend getting your corsages and Boutonnieres elsewhere. read more

I just picked up a stunning bouquet for my 4th wedding anniversary. Needless to say they went over very well. The folks at The Flower Shack were very helpful and put together a beautiful arrangement with very little input from me. One of my favorite parts is it's easy to just stop in, there is street parking right out front, and the whole transaction took only a few minutes. I love this shop and so happy I found it. It's my go to Flower Shop in all of Santa Cruz county. I take the half hour drive from South county it's that good. They have a large selection of flowers and are very affordable. Yesterday, I had a birthday dinner and last minute I wanted to give each of my guests a gift. The young lady at the shop was so helpful, accommodating and kind. She made 25 mini boutiques for me. This shops offers the whole package: 1. High end and large selection of flowers. 2. Amazing customer service. 3. Super chic and good vibe. 4. They also sell local made coffee mugs and earrings if you need a present. 5. Their location is great with lots of parking and the Buttery next door so you can also get a cupcake. This place is pricey. I walked my dog over to the Flower Shack and asked if they have boutonnières. The young ladies were super friendly. I explained that I was going to a memorial service for my young friend (43) who passed away a few weeks ago. She loved flowers so I wanted to wear a bouttoniere to express that. The lady at the flower shop said she could make one for me after she helped the customers already there and to come back in 15-20 minutes. When I came back, the boutonnière was ready. They charged me 32.00 plus tax plus the tip that their screen asked for, so I paid almost $40. I know that boutonnières have a big price range from under 10 dollars to over 30. I did not realize that the Flower Shack is top tier in pricing. It actually felt as though I was taken advantage of, but with thoughts of the memorial service looming tomorrow morning, I didn't say anything. I'm a local guy that has family in town and I work in hospitality and talk to a lot of people daily. I won't be recommending this flower shop. I really wanted to patronize a locally, independent business but realize now I should have went to Safeway, or simply picked a pretty flower and pinned it to my lapel. read more

I loved the pride bouquet they showed on Facebook and ordered one for a friend. What she got was a random assortment of magenta, orange, yellow, white and a bit of greenery all mixed together. The flowers were nice, but in no way a pride bouquet. I kindly contacted the owner a few times to make sure the bouquets weren't accidentally switched. They were not. She is insistent that she cannot do anything because what she made is a pride bouquet. A pride bouquet has red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple flowers in sections in that order. It is a rainbow of flowers. It matters. read more
