Shopping for children with growing feet can be challenging online. We made a purchase online for a pair of Under Armor Basketball performance sneakers. The shoes were way too narrow in a men's size so we had to find a local Shoe Carnival. We traveled from Raleigh and found the staff at this store friendly and courteous. Sam was the gentleman who manages the store and he helped us out. The cashier was also kind and professional. The store layout was organized and tidy. They carry a large selection of sizes and styles. I used my $10 off coupon and saved. Thanks Sam.

I got tired of the "ship and return" even though zappos is great to buy from and I never had an issue other than the same size and width varied from one shoe brand to the next. Going to SAS after a few years since my last trip was worth the drive. The neat thing I found was that they have added so many new styles and because each shoe has adjustable straps, the width is never a problem. SAS isn't cheap, but the shoes that I have bought have lasted year after year. In the long run, they really are, for me, the better deal.

Willing and capable of fixing any and everything from the cheap pair of shoes that you love and wearout often, to the really expensive, intricate pair that you might be nervous to trust someone with repairing. Since just adding Velcro should only cost $10-20 I assumed he understood the technicality. I wanted them for a trip. I picked them up and when I tried them the next day I realized he hadn't listened to a word I said and just added Velcro to the overstretched strap. In fact they were even worse and totally unwearable. I was so disgusted I kept forgetting about it. There are signs in every inch of the shop that say absolutely no refunds. Anyway, they had some cute new shoes that they were stocking, but I ended up leaving without making a purchase because I didn't care for the staff. They couldn't stop talking about political things enough to even greet the people walking in or even ask if we needed help. So, they weren't going to get a penny from me. I see why their Yelp rating is so low at this point. Hopefully they will get it together & change things up.

After bringing them home, I tried them on again and they didn't feel right. I attempted to return the sandals the next night (7/26/12) and was told that I could not because they had been worn. I tried explaining to the associate that I had purchased them the night before and only tried them on at the store and at home. He told me that he could not take them back because they looked "worn". When I told him that's how they looked when i purchased them. He spoke to another employee (possibly a manager) and returned to tell me that the person that worked the night before confirmed that they didn't look like that upon my purchase. When I asked the associate if they were calling me a liar; but he said, no we cannot accept them. I asked about an exchange since I cannot use them now and he told me no he could not help me. I asked for the Corporate Office phone number, which he gladly gave to me. I understand the policy about not returning worn items. I find it hard to believe that this is how customers are treated. Poor customer service. I will not be returning to that store. Very dissatisfied.
