I've been to Level 99, so it's comparable where there's multiple rooms and activities and you work together to finish the game. Here, you can do competitive games against your group, which makes things more interesting. Theres about 10-15 rooms and each room has different activities to choose from and levels. Unlike Level99, the directions here make sense when you get the hints. As soon as these doors open, within seconds, we were sprinting between glowing rooms trying to beat puzzles, dodge lasers, and slap light panels like our lives depended on it. The concept is basically part escape room, part laser tag, part interactive arcade, except you are the controller. And yes... you will sweat. Each room has a different challenge, and the games ramp up in difficulty so it gets weirdly competitive (especially when everyone's scores are tracked on the wristbands). One minute you're carefully solving a puzzle and the next minute you're hopping across light-up floors like it's an adult version of "the floor is lava." A few notes from the field: * Free lockers to store your belongings. * Bring a water bottle! * Wear athletic clothes and sneakers. This is not a cute-boots/sandals activity. * It's way more physical than expected--in a fun way. * Eat AFTER you come, especially if it's a date night. You don't want to see anything coming up during the activities. What I loved most is that it's fast-paced and replayable. You can bounce between rooms, try different difficulty levels, and keep chasing a higher score. It's perfect for groups, birthdays, team outings, or honestly just blowing off steam. Bottom line: it's chaotic, active, and ridiculously fun. Also in comparison to Level 99, it's not as busy and we don't have to wait outside rooms for long. Would I go back? 100%. My competitive side refuses to accept my current score.

They charge you $100 for a field that is 90×70, it's ridiculously narrow and there is no reason for you to deal with the atrocious customer service when you can go to either Nzone or Dulles Sportsplex (bigger fields, cheaper prices at Spring). Well I guess the only reason to come here would be that everywhere else is usually booked for leagues and this place is empty since nobody goes there.

Sometimes, I feel like I'm paying for some stuff I'm never interested in using - like the racketball rooms, the spa, yoga classes, dance classes, etc. There's another gym that's like 2 minutes away from me and costs like 50% of World Gate but they don't have a sauna which is essential to me. The facilities that I use regularly are the weight room, the sauna, and showers. I do like having the ability to swim sometimes if I want to. World Gate has a lot of options. I don't enjoy the price I'm paying but I also do not see another gym with all my non-essentials at a better price so I continue to go here. What's missing though is the actual cold plunges - not cryotherapy chairs. If they can manage that, I'd not be complaining about my membership price. I'd have everything I need.

The basketball court was completely removed, which I was highly looking forward to using after getting my membership. Turns out it was replaced with a pickleball court. The thing that bothers me is the fact that half of the basketball court area was already a pickleball court, and they probably only replaced everything to make more money off pickleball lessons and stuff. 2. Things haven't been changing in a positive way. Like I said before, the basketball court was removed purely as an extension of the already existing pickleball court. Also, some of the gym equipment is pretty outdated and not getting fixed. Furthermore, the staff really don't care about members and just completely listen to the people who are ruining the experience for others, and getting people kicked out of a spot they were already in. The staff also tend to listen to the older person without understanding whats really going on. 3. Most of the Life Time membership is really just giving you access to more purchases instead of owning up to their slogan, "Healthier way of life." The whole Life Time experience really just seems to be a cash grab instead of what it promises.

I have been to four other locations in Virginia and Maryland, all of which are spacious, clean and have modern equipment. However, this Sterling location is cramped, messy, and the equipment is so worn out. Many machines have handles falling off of them, or benches are tough to adjust, that kind of thing. Personally, I will only go here if I have another reason to be next to it, and otherwise will just go to the Ashburn location.

The only downside for me is that the club is a little far from where I live but playing badminton twice a week in a proper badminton court at a convenient time of the day is all I can ask for now.
