We hired Brandon with Epic Customs Tile and Stones to tile a small (200sqft) water feature in our…read morecourtyard. The timing was bad as Epic had just lost their only true tile installer. Brandon assured us he could do the job, so we proceeded. Two days into the project we knew we'd made a mistake. While Brandon was attentive and understanding, the work was terrible. It started with the base/pan being lumpy and uneven. When they did start laying tile, they were extremely slow and poorly laid. Several days were spent removing the base or tile they'd installed the day before. After two weeks with less than 20sqft of tile laid Brandon tells us they can't complete the job and that he would return our $3K deposit. When we followed up a week later, he produced a new invoice for the "work" completed and refused to return the initial deposit. We ultimately found a new tile guy (the same one who had left Epic Customs and done all the good work you'll see on the Epic website) who removed all of Brandon's work and started from scratch. Bottom line, in our experience, Epic Customs was unskilled, unprofessional and unethical.

EVERY tile is level. It is the most beautiful present day tile work I have seen. I cannot wait to save the money for the other bathroom to receive the same top quality work. The estimate occurred about a day after I called, which blew me away since I couldn't even get call backs from other places in a day. They gave me a best case estimate and a worst case estimate. When I called back to schedule they had the days available I asked for. They estimated a week for a bathroom remodel and it was spot on. My remodeler was Jim. Excellent in everything he touches. By the way you purchase all your own material. However we were short on some materials and Jim met us at Home Depo and helped us pick up the rest of the supplies. Else we would have been clueless as to what to buy. It was so beautiful when complete. Took a 1990s bathroom and Jim made my dream country-glam bathroom. My bathroom is not big but afterwards it felt spacious. The pictures don't do it justice. I included a before and an after pic. Jim also remodeled the old ugly shower. It has a cool bottom made with river pebbles now.
