I started a new business and was compare shopping for the best place to open up a business account. After exploring many varying options from commercial financial institutions and local/community banks to credit unions alike, I stumbled upon this diamond in the rough. Although they may not have all the whistles and bells of a commercial financial institution, their offerings were very generous... almost to the point I was thinking it were too good to be true (eg. no monthly or annual fees, no minimum balance to maintain, no set deposit other than the usual credit union $5 membership, no maximum transaction amounts, convenience of co-op shared banking with other credit unions for basic transactions, and mobile banking access). These services offered hit the ball out of the park when compared to other banking options I considered. On top of the banking amenities, I cannot overlook the awesomeness of the staff members I interacted with... namely, Jennifer and Robin. Before coming into the bank, Jennifer walked me through the business application step-by-step over the phone. She was courteous, patient and provided unparalleled customer service. This did not go unnoticed, because it demonstrated to me that my membership and business was of valued importance. Jennifer was the first representation of the credit union that I came into contact with, and she gave me my first impression of their brand, which gave me an increased confidence in entrusting my business in them. When I arrived to the credit union, I was greeted with a smile, and to my surprise, Jennifer ended up being the one to assist me with opening my account. I've been a client of Pinnacle Credit Union since 1987, when I moved from New York City to Atlanta. I remained, and remain a client to this day, tho I am now retired and live abroad full time. Through all the machinations of doing so, including a lost debit card, a stolen checkbook, Pinnacle and its wonderful staff have been there to ease the way and keep me solvent . I especially want to mention Robin who has been of continuous great assistance with her professionalism, knowledge and her quick thinking and problem solving; and I must say the same for April, as well as the courtesy, expertise and consideration of every Pinnacle staff person I have ever spoken with. My husband and I are always comfortable coming into their facility. But we are not surprised by the warm and helpful service. So when Harriett took time to help activate a card that laid dormant in my purse taking up valuable real estate for the past two months, it was unexpected, very much appreciated but not surprising from the Pinnacle team. We had given up on it because we kept running into road-blocks when we tried to activate the card over the phone and on the card's website. She was able to identify right away that it was an account identification issue which all the high-tech automated computer systems couldn't realize and assist us in completing the activation process. I have been a member of Pinnacle Credit Union for close to 30 years. During this time I have seen the growth that has occurred. Over the years I have seen the staff come and go but Pinnacle has always had that neighborly feel. They cordially address their customers as if they know them personally. For instance, Harriett has worked with Pinnacle for over 10-15 years and has watched my family grow to the young adults they have become. Was referred by teachers to check out this institution that supports teachers. I needed a credit union fast. Since teachers already have a hard time getting to a bank after work hours I was happy to be helped right way. Jennifer M at this branch helped me open an account. My bank is out of town and I use pinnacle credit union as my service center. They treat me as if I'm a member and go above and beyond to service me within service center regulations. Melissa, My favorite representative, has been so helpful and kind. She always goes the extra mile and asks management if there is a better way to service my needs if she doesn't know the answer. Visited my credit union on North Avenue in Fourth Ward today and had an extraordinary positive visit. I needed cashier's checks and my main bank now charges about $15 for each check requested; however, at my credit union I was not charged a fee at all and the staff was simply wonderful.
