I would highly recommend Cathleen McCarthy the podiatrist at the Pinnacle Peak Podiatry. She takes time to explain your diagnosis and goes over the necessary actions needed to see improvements. I've gone to her twice in 5 years and her instructions have helped me run several marathons. She even took the time to look over my shoe collection to show me what I needed to look for when buying shoes. I actually wish she went to school to be a primary physician because she has brought up several things about my health to my attention. She Insisted that I buy her shoes and hike with "special hard sole boots" because I had "arthritis" in my foot and she told me I 100% did not need surgery. I made a follow up appointment with a board certified foot and ankle orthopedic surgeon and he immediately told me for comfort purposes I needed to remove the bone fragment in my foot and that I absolutely did not have arthritis, in fact he laughed at the fact that pinnacle peak podiatry told me that I had arthritis. Pinnacle Peak Podiatry is just another "here wear these shoes, they'll help for the low price of $100+ dollars" sales pitch... Please visit someone who is board certified and HIGHLY specialized in the foot and ankle. these podiatrists are doctors in the same sense that dentists are doctors.... the schooling is completely different from that of an orthopedic surgeon who is SPECIALIZED in the foot and ankle and it absolutely shows. Do yourself a favor and please see an ortho, don't fall for the sales pitch of a podiatrist. you've been warned! read more

Highly recommended Pinnacle Peak Podiatry. I'm fairly new to AZ and searched for a podiatrist on the internet when a painful ingrown toenail looked to be starting an infection. Dr. Jay and her staff were great, getting me in the same day when they learned I was a diabetic. Dr. Jay was very thorough in explaining my options. I decided for a permanent surgical "fix" so she immediately proceeded with blocking out (numbing) my toe with impressive care and skill. I hardly felt a thing! It was then a quick procedure. Came here today because I had a really painful infected ingrown toe nail (caused by a nail salon). I saw Dr. Jay and she was absolutely AMAZING. 11/10!!!!! I woke up in a lot of pain this morning and realized I had an infection, an almost went to urgent care, but decided to call Dr. Jay and she got me in right away within 2 hours!! I was so nervous and in a lot of pain but she was so sweet and hilarious and made the experience not bad at all!! The nurses in the office were also sooo sweet and brought me crackers and water and a lollipop because I almost passed out with the numbing shots. Visited Pinnacle Peak Podiatry for the first time recently for a problem with an ingrown toenail on my right big toe -- what a fabulous experience--Dr. Jay and her entire Team were fabulous! I was given a very friendly greeting upon my arrival, and it just got better from there. Everyone was friendly and professional. Dr. Jay was very nice and easy to talk to. She took the time to explain the entire procedure and discussed what she was doing as she performed the procedure. I had a pain free experience (still pain free a day after the procedure). Can't say enough good things about Dr. Jay and the entire office staff. My 3 year old developed cellulitis in her right toe and kept being prescribed antibiotics from the pediatrician to clear up the infection. Three different pediatricians told me they didn't see any signs of an ingrown toenail but I became frustrated with it not fully healing. I decided to bring her to Pinnacle Peak Podiatry and Dr. Jay took one look at it and knew it needed to be removed. She was so patient with my daughter and took great care of her during the removal and after when I had some questions on the healing process. Both my husband and I have seen Dr. Jay at Pinnacle Peak Podiatry. My husband had heel pain and she had him totally fixed within a few weeks. She identifies the problem, gives patients their options for treatment, explains what she is going to do to your foot, and then performs the procedure to resolve the problem. Dr. Jay took great care in surgically removing one of my toenails that had lifted. As a avid runner, she was concerned that the toenail would rip off during a trail run so she removed it completely. She was quick and thorough, she even had the toenail biopsied for fungus because it had been partially connected for months. The follow up was great; she kept an eye on how the nail grew out. I had injured my foot and when I called for a future appointment, they were able to get me in same day. Dr. Kristina Jezidzic was wonderful! She quickly determined what the problem was and gave me several tips for taking care of my foot and preventing further issues. When it comes to medicine, one of my biggest pet peeves is showing up for your appointment at a set time and not being seen for 30, sometimes 60, minutes later! I walked in to Pinnacle Peak Podiatry, signed in, and was seen right on time. No waiting in the examination room, wondering if they forgot about you, like other offices have. Dr. Jay is amazing. My father in law is 93 and recently moved from living on his own to living across town in Scottsdale. If anyone is aware of how loyal elderly people are to their do tors then making this switch was expected to have resistance. Dr. Jay has won him over with her professionalism and caring philosophy. I would give Dr. McCarthy and her staff a rating of 15, if I could. I searched the entire web for advise on some good shoes for my painful feet. Every site said to "make an appointment", "go see a doctor". But NOT Dr. McCarthy's! Her site not only told me the shoe to buy, but gave me a list of things to do before seeing a doctor! When it was time to make an appointment they got me right in. Dr. Found that I was walking on multiple fractures in both feet and 2 torn ligaments. Because Dr. used the latest medical treatments, no surgery was required. That was in February. Today, June 13, I am walking pain-free! Dr. even celebrated with me. On every visit, I was treated as if I were their only patient. They made sure all my questions were answered. I was never pressured to make any payments before or after treatment. I am a diabetic and on two occasions before a shot Dr. was so concerned about my sugar levels that she went and got me a Tootsie Pop. No wonder she was voted "Top Doctor" in Phoenix Magazine twice.
