The facilities on the other hand.... The elevator reeks of decaying something, and at times an obscene amount of air freshener in attempts to cover the awful smell. We had to plug our nose riding up to the 5th floor. The safety certificate posted was expired as of 8/1/25. We hoped they just hadn't yet had time to change the certificate in the elevator. There was a screech heard at times in the elevator too, but I was assured by a fellow vacationer that sound is normal... the doors were also smeared with who knows what. Hopefully cleaning solution residue but my hopes are low. There were two elevators for our building but one was out of service. The carpet in the rooms look original and is damp. Our white socks were filthy after minutes, we soon learned to keep our shoes on. I noticed the cushion on the couch was backwards so, like an idiot, I turned it over and there was some sort of brown stain on it. Also dark red/brown spatters on the adjacent wall. Your imagination will run wild considering all the possibilities of the origin of those stains. I took no photos because I didn't want to be in possession of evidence lol! Back to the positive, no bed bugs were seen! However I did dispense quite a bit of Lysol cleaning all the surfaces and spraying down the bed and pillows. I definitely left that room cleaner than when I found it. The towels are old, thin, and don't do much but scratch your skin. However they bring you fresh towels every day! Never ran out of anything, the staff were great. We did come back from the beach one day and the room key wasn't working and we had to wait outside our room in our beachwear with all our things. That was less than ideal but they came and changed the batteries in the lock and all was resolved in about 15-20 minutes. Could have been faster but it got done, and not unreasonably timed, just felt like a long time.

The lady acted like we were stupid and she laughed. Also the pullout couch is so uncomfortable, it made my back hurt. The shower pressure is super high and it makes the floor soaking wet. We are from Destin florida so we are not tourist/newbies to the Florida experience therefore we knew where to find the perfect "spot" for our wedding week. The area right around the property is less populated offering a little privacy, not dozens of people walking down sidewalks constantly. Just 3-5 minutes down the road shopping & grocery stores are available, liquor stores, gas stations. The beach view from tanlines was stunning, sunrises/sunsets were stunning. The home itself was spacious, allowing all of our guest their own little area to relax. The kitchen supplied all of the utensils we needed for cooking & grilling on the egg. The coffee pot being an old school drip was GREAT, my parents prefer that type of pot. The coffee pot in the kitchen upstairs and down stairs both leak and need replacing with the SAME STYLE PLEASE but also adding a keurig would be a nice touch too for us pod users! The living room area on the 2nd main floor is rather small but we love the open floor plan and the fact that the pool is located on this floor along with the kitchen and a master bedroom that we gave to my parents since we did not want them using stairs!!! I wish their was more seating for guest to all sit in the main living room area together but we made it work. Be aware that the sliding door leading to the pool is super annoying, before you slide the door you must push the button which is oddly located to the far left of the door, upon entry and exit the button must be pushed or this SQUEALING ALARM goes off after about 30 seconds BUT that is required per florida law, it's a valuable safety feature if you have small children, thankfully we had no children attending. We absolutely plan to stay at this property again, so please not than none of my stated "complaints" are sincere complaints simply listed information for anyone to consider. Holiday beach rentals (property management) was absolutely awesome, attentive, responsive as well as friendly and professional. We had a magical wedding week and this property was overall perfectly suited for our needs! A very cozy space. Clean bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen.. Linens were fresh and all supplied with a roll of toilet tissue and travel size hand soaps. DON'T FORGET to bring your beach towels, laundry detergent, trash bags, paper towels and a few extra dishwashing pods or dish detergent. We booked "Sand Piper," 320 Pompano St., Inlet Beach, FL 32461 USA. Their local property manager is Paradise Properties. Sand Piper is also advertised on hotels.com, RedAwning and VRBO. The fees vary wildly with each one. My fiance had a medical emergency that put him in the hospital for 3 days a few days prior to our Saturday departure date (May 4). Upon receipt of my fiance's "ER doctor's note," the owners agreed to let us reschedule but ONLY within the same month (May)--the available dates for which were very limited. At this point, my family from Nashville would be gone, but we could not afford to lose our $1,600. We also needed some sun and relaxation after his hospital stay. So we accepted their new dates of May 12-15. Extreme weather was forecast for the area and arrived on May 12, as predicted, making it unsafe in our opinion to travel there. Rather than letting us reschedule again to ANY month of THEIR choosing in 2024 (the off-season was FINE with us), they refused to refund a dime of our $1,600. We even suggested they keep their fees and just refund the lodging. The owners wouldn't budge. I will never book through hotels.com, RedAwning or Paradise Properties again, and I will tell everyone I know NOT to rent Sand Piper. My advice is to purchase trip insurance when booking ANYTHING. Lesson learned.

We rented a condo through Paradise Properties Vacation Rentals & would suggest you think twice. From now until April/May 2024, 30A is closed between the areas of Watersound and Seagrove making it 100% impassable - no cars, bikes, or walking. This is a locally well-known, pre-planned road construction project. When we asked them why they didn't give us a heads up, we were told that we should have done our research. We are from Michigan and would have no way of knowing about a pre-planned road closure in Florida. Of the 18 miles of bike paths, we could only access 2 miles. Not one time during our discussion did this company take ownership that their renters have a right to know something this important to a 30A vacation. Other than horrible mattresses, Seacrest 6 had a great ocean view and for us on the wrong side of the road construction. Transparency is everything.

It's not the fanciest resort I've ever stayed at, but it definitely checked all the boxes for necessity and a big of comfort. There's a main tower and then 6 separate condo buildings. All 7 buildings have great beach access. I do wish there was better communication, but that's mainly up to the homeowners and what rental agency they choose to use. We used Vacasa (I thought) but ended up with "Arvanti Rental Group" which was fine, there just isn't a front desk anywhere on property so it can be confusing when trying to contact the homeowner. I know Airbnb gets a lot of hate but when we come back we will likely book with them, simply because of the easy customer user face. Overall we had a great time, had awesome beach access, and a large enough area, without being too pricey. $800 for 4 nights isn't too bad with a beach front condo, beach view, and all the amenities.

Most of the time I went here, very few people were around and we felt surrounded by beauty, peace, and nature. They were humble yet decadent and glamorous times. The beach was gorgeous and serene. Sometimes, there was only two of us sunbathing on the beach all alone. It was a long walk over the dunes to get to the beach, yet it was so worth it. Some of my best Beach and pool memories are at this place. I came back to it recently to collect some sand from the beach here. Now, it is super crowded, more commercialized, louder, and the newer buildings are squeezed in tight like sardines. It made me realize you can never go back to the past and to value and live to the fullest in the Present Moment. My Russian friend ,Sergei , agreed and said yet we had lots of valuable memories and memorable present moments at Watersound though!
