However, I feel obligated to share my experience to help others make an informed decision. I hired this company to clean and reseal the grout in my kitchen and three bathroom floors, as well as replace the caulk in my master bathroom shower, clean the shower, apply color seal to the grout lines, and color seal the shower floor. The total cost was $867. Unfortunately, I am extremely dissatisfied with the quality of the work. There were noticeable errors outside of the grout lines, and whatever was applied to the shower floor and walls began to break down after the very first use. I am still seeing missed spots along the grout lines in the shower--something that should be a straightforward and thorough process. The owner did return once to address some of the issues and committed to coming back a third time to complete the job. While the corrections made resulted in minimal improvement, I have not heard back from him to schedule the promised follow-up visit. If I had the time, I would pursue this matter further, but I do not. Instead, I feel it's important to caution others who may be considering this company for grout work in the Hampton Roads area. The individuals seemed pleasant and professional, but the workmanship did not meet the level of quality I expected or paid for.

I am so thankful for Marblelife, specifically Hobie! My husband and I had been renovating our…read moremaster bathroom and purchased this beautiful black limestone tile. The tile guy we hired to install the tile did not know what he was doing and ended up damaging our limestone tile by using harsh chemicals on it. We were so devastated after all the time and hard work we had put into this remodel we thought it would be ruined because the tile we bought was black and the tile guy had turned them light grey with the damaging chemicals. When we realized the floors were severely damaged we called Marblelife at 9 PM on a Thursday night. I expected to leave a voicemail, but Hobie answered my called! We sent him pictures and he came over the next day! He completely restored our tile and it looks as if its brand new again! I cannot even tell it was ever damaged. He was very honest, respectful, professional and trustworthy! I highly recommend Marblelife and I plan to hire this company for our future remodels.

After seeing the work they did in his home, I was convinced. The team came to the house to see the project and complete an estimate. We scheduled a date within two weeks. The team was on-time and following Covid-safety precautions. The finished product blew me away. The ratty shower now looks beautiful, new, and clean. I'm thrilled with the results. As I read the other reviews, I wonder if this company has new ownership. The other reviews don't match my own experience. Just saying ...

This company is the worst! Do not use them…read more My husband and I moved into a house where the people who did our master bathroom shower (tile on both shower wall and floor) did an awful job. Once my husband and I started taking showers, the grout started to come up. We found "Grout Works" on Home Advisors where they have a 4.6 review rating. So we thought we were getting professionals who actually knew what they were doing. We called Grout Works and had them come out to take a look at our shower a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving 2018. We liked their estimate and with a 4.6 review rating we thought we'd finally be able to use our shower again. We were told we had to wait until after Thanksgiving, because they didn't have the right grout and color for our shower and had to order it. Although, we hadn't used the shower for a week and a half (we were using the hall bathroom shower), two or three more weeks wouldn't be a problem, because we wanted it done right. A week after Thanksgiving, they came to fix the shower (a man and woman) and instructed us not to use it for 24 hours. My husband and I waited 48 hours to ensure the grout was set and dry. Two weeks later, not even a month in, my husband and I noticed the shower floor was "squishy" and every time we stepped on the middle tile water would ooze out. We didn't even have that problem BEFORE they did the work. We called "Grout Works" and they came out to recheck the work. We were informed that they would NOT be able to fix the problem and suggested we give the contractor they work with a call to fix it, then they would come back out to grout. Really? At that same time my husband was informed that "Grout Work" had this same problem previously with another client, and they ended up having to give them back their money, because they weren't able to fix the issue. Hearing that, and since we had a warranty we requested our money back. We were told we needed to look at the warranty that stated if the floor was wet the warranty wouldn't be honored. Hmm, first off, we hadn't used our shower in almost 4 weeks. We even put a heater in the shower for a few days, the first week we discovered we were going to need someone to come out. Second, if there was water under the tile when the "professionals" did the work, why wouldn't they tell us they wouldn't be able to complete the job? After a couple of calls, we were offered a portion of our money back, but the owner told us..."I'm being generous doing that." We were left with the same problem and a few dollars lighter. Worst company we ever worked with!
