I would not use this company for painting. Not only did they not finish the job and we had to argue with them to come back and finish it but they put product on Our bar table outside and ruined the finish. This business also did not respect our neighborhood rules that say you cannot park your trailer overnight on the street. This company uses customer service as an afterthought. They really don't care about your home while they're working there spend your money elsewhere. read more

My wife contracted with Pinon to do a small amount of painting at her salon. Pinon required 50% payment up front, which we provided. After 3 months of not showing up to perform the work, or even calling to schedule, my wife decided that she did not want Pinon to perform this work and asked for her 50% payment back. Pinon refused, due to the "work that they had already put into the job". They had put zero work into the job and I told them that. Jimmy the coward refused to take or return our multiple calls, instead leaving the receptionist and bookkeeper to handle his dirty work. I am in a similar type of contracting business here in Prescott, and have been for over 35 years. I have never taken customer's money without providing the agreed upon service. I would not recommend Pinon Painting. Went through the whole process with them right up until the snow came. Once the snow melted (3 months later) and now have access to our cabin somehow they raised our estimate an additional $2,000.00. I emailed and asked them for an explanation and didn't receive a response. So I called on the phone and was told they would get back to me. Once they called back they gave the standard "supply chain" and "inflation" bs and tried to explain how the "cost of paint is just skyrocketing". So I told them I would be happy to pay our agreed price but I would not pay this additional price increase. They said good luck and I'm pretty sure there are plenty of qualified painters in Prescott willing to take a $20K + job. read more

I'd go lower if rating systems allowed. Pinon has been a terrible experience. They've twice already painted our house - BIG sign of a problem. Then bubbles started showing up all over our house. We attempted to report this to Jimmy; the self-identified "coward" ignored us so we filed a complaint with the ROC. They failed the first inspection, didn't even follow their own protocol for how to "fix" things and failed the second ROC inspection. All this hassle, over 12 months and we're left with 2 failed inspections AND a need to have everything they did undone and redone by someone else. Worst company ever! If you want to babysit the painters, this is the company for you. Every day, there was a major issue. Paint all over our woodwork and wooden ceiling. Drop cloths that leave paint chips all over, paint on floors, cut in work showing, rooms had to be painted over, hours of work removing sloppy paint on surfaces that were supposed to be covered, are some of the problems we encountered. There was no prep work whatsoever performed. They didn't even bother to dust the walls after moving furniture. If Dylan enters your house, get him out immediately. He is too cool for school and definitely for work. Don't waste your money. They are all hat and no cattle. read more

Exceptional from start to finish. We live in the Village of Oak Creek. A bit of a ways from Prescott. Jimmy, the owner, was on time to do the walk around. He paid strict attention to exactly we wanted done as far as paint and repairs we were concerned about. All painters from Sedona, much closer to our house, bid higher then Pinon to the tune of $1500+. No drop in the bucket! We decided on Pinon based on more then the bid alone. Jimmy was on time to do the estimate (very important in our neck of the woods...sad, but true) and very detailed in his written bid to include Sherwin Williams paint. Drew, the lead, and Asher showed up on time every single morning. Drew gave us an update at the end of every workday and what we could expect the following day. The attention to the detail was above and beyond what we expected - from prep to painting. Such a pleasure in these days and times. We had an area that the wood needed to be pulled off and replaced. We knew this in advance. It was not an upsell. It was the main reason for our seeking house painters in the first place. When Pinon completed the repair work you could not tell where the repair had been done. As the job completion approached we decided to add additional painting. Initially we didn't think a particular cinder block wall that was in the rear of our house needed paint. We were wrong. Once the new house paint was nearly completed it became very evident with the quality of work Pinon was doing that the wall needed to be done. We half expected a high estimate to do the job since it was something we really wanted to have done. We were wrong. The bid was exactly what we hoped it would be. We weren't gouged. Another experience that doesn't happen these days. Drew and Asher were polite and courteous. The job was completed on time as promised. It has been several weeks now since completion and we have noticed nothing but quality results. I know from observing their work in my neighborhood that they do excellent prep and finish work. The man that came for the estimate was very pleasant and professional. The price seemed fair and I agreed The problem came when dealing with the office, They needed electronic forms signed. One worked fine and I signed it. The other simply would not work on my computer, or the tablet I forwarded it to. I explained the problem to the office. The form was a color authorization on a touch up job with the same approved paint that was on the house which I was providing. After weeks of delay, they mailed the form and I signed it and returned it. The process went on for over a month and when all was finally done to their satisfaction they decided not to schedule the job. This was a small job and I understand that but I will very soon need a big one. My other arrangements have gone very smoothly. read more

We were so unbelievably disappointed in our paint job. We had several people recommend you and your quote was thousands of dollars higher than anyone else's in town. We expected to be educated on things we could do to our home to improve the quality of work when complete, nothing was suggested. The paint bubbled and peeled off parts of our home and deck. When you came to fix it there were places that were sanded and never repainted, you said the paint would blend in and it never did (we now have dark streaks all over our decks), you left green paint on our trim and wood doors. Our columns on our decks have disgusting bubbles forming under the paint, there was paint left on the windows, you can see where the paint was sprayed unevenly. For the amount of money we payed I expected great things, every time someone came out to look at my concerns I was treated poorly; like you were in a hurry to get to the next job, my house wasn't important enough to be painted beautifully. I had a list of concerns which I wrote down with questions I had, instead of helping me trouble shoot and fix the issues I was told the house is old. Deck boards weren't tightened down, there are drip marks from colors dripping between the wood on the decks, and the overall professionalism and courteousness a company should show a home owner was lacking. You may not feel that my home was worth the time but you should say that, that you aren't the company for the job. You should be honest and say what needs to be done first to make sure the paint stays on the house. If your heart isn't in your work then you shouldn't do it to collect a paycheck, that isn't fair to anyone. You claim to be a "Christian company" which was another reason we chose to support you, this claim holds no merit. I wouldn't recommend your services to anyone and will continue to be honest when people ask who painted our home and how they could leave it the way they did. read more
