Had a wonderful time painting this past weekend with the bestie! We arrived way earlier than We expected! But they didn't mind and we got ourselves some tasty drinks from the bar! A sangria for my friend and this strawberries and cream mimosa for myself, yum. The staff were all great! Everyone so friendly and fun. It was a lovely atmosphere. I've been to lots of these types of places and Pinots Palette didn't disappoint. Our instructor was fun and patient and helped everyone create their own little masterpiece! We will be back!!

My kids did spring break camp at Pinot's Palette (affectionately called "wine camp" at our house) and had a blast. The instructors really interacted with the kids and let them make the paintings their own. I couldn't believe how well my kids painted, and they came home happy each day. I hope to try a class myself!

I rarely get to do things like this, my gal pal and I were trying to find something to do. We found this as we were enjoying dinner not too far from here... we called and thank the Friday night gods there was a cancellation for two! Say what, it was just meant to be. The instructor and bar tender were delightful, kind and patient. One of my favorite parts was checking in via Yelp and getting a FREE drink. The class was a wonderful different activity to do. We enjoyed our time. Nice environment, awesome calendar of future events to come. Overall a fantastically awesome Friday night!

Just getting started ...

I had a great time at a private party held here last weekend -- it was a nice way to spend a snowy weekend! The private room can probably accommodate about 20 people comfortably? With our own instructor, tunes, and the judgement of only your group of friends it was a nice way to ease into the painting and sipping experience. While I'm not sure that I'm ready to frame my painting and hang it up on the wall, I am pretty pleased at how it turned out ... the acrylic paints are a pretty forgiving medium for even the most inexperienced "artist." The larger studio is quite spacious, and it looks like they arrange smaller groups at individual tables. There is a decent selection of libations available for purchase at the bar -- I quite enjoyed my glass of Pinot Noir -- and there are a number of regular events (e.g. Ladies' Night) and special classes (paint your pet) available, too. I'm looking forward to trying the paint your pet class sometime later this spring -- I'm pretty sure that painting will garner some wall space, in the utility room next to the grooming table at the very least.

Paint your pet! So special and so much fun. You have to go to Pinot's Palette!

My son, Darling-in-law, and I had so much fun at your paint your pet event at Maxline Brewery! Thank you so much for the easy, no pressure fun. The teacher was so kind and patient... helpful. What a great time. I recommend Pinot's Palette!

The calendar clearly shows the times for Monday, March 27th on the top left corner.

3 1/2 stars. For our first visit at PoshSplat, my daughter…read moreand I went for "independent studio time" since they did not have any public class during the day on a Friday. We've been to other studios to paint following an instructor, and it was always a lot of fun. This place has a great selection of paintings you can choose from, and then you just copy the one you select, or just do your own. The lady who was in charge of the place that day was friendly, but both my daughter and I very quickly understood that it was better not to change the water where you clean your brushes, or ask for another paper plate (that you use as a palette.) When my daughter asked where she could change her muddy water, she was told that she really did not need to, as the paint should get to the bottom of the pot and the brush would get clean if it stays on the surface. We looked at each other, quite surprised. After a while, I really needed to get some clean water and was told that the lady would do it for me as there is no available sink for the clients. Looking at the paint stains in the bathroom, I doubt this advice is followed by most, but I understand that they want to protect their plumbing and the environment. So after that, since we did not want to bother her, we just painted with brown water (and my daughter never changed hers.) I wonder what happens when an entire class (about 20 people) is asking at some point for fresh water.... I never had that issue at other places, and this was a big surprise and disappointment (that and the fact that you are uncomfortable asking for another paper plate.) I get that they don't want to waste, but you have to keep it reasonable. In the end, we've decided that when we want to paint again, we'll go back to Whimsy in Westminster, where they have a sink in the studio for the clients to use freely, where they give you whatever you need to paint comfortably, and where parking if free and easy. If you want to stay in Boulder though, it's always fun to do one of these session. Drink an extra glass of wine and you won't even bother about rinsing your brushes. Now that's a thought, maybe I should try that next time!

I'm really upset with the experience a friend and I had here the other night for a girl's night…read more First of all, I had assumed, that since this is a wine and painting studio, that the atmosphere would be relaxed and fun. I however, was completely wrong. The instructor on multiple occasions barked orders and "got onto" myself (and other people in the class) for using the wrong brush, putting the brush on the table (instead of on the plate), or using too much paint (or not enough paint). She felt very uptight. To the point that I was becoming anxious about "doing something wrong" and having her say something to me again. I think the worst part of the evening though, was when she came over to my canvas and altered my painting, without my consent. She didn't even ask me, and just put her brush to my painting to "fix" it. I understand I am not an artist however, if I had wanted to purchase a painting made by someone else, then I would have done that. Yet, I paid for a class to be guided on how to paint while sipping wine and having fun. I'm pretty upset that none of that occurred. I was willing to chalk this experience up to just having a bad instructor, but I found out the instructor we had is the owner of the place. I absolutely will not be back and do not recommend this place to anyone. The instructor/owner made it feel like we were in art school trying to get an art degree. I just went to have fun and paint a picture of some stupid poppies. Yet, I left with anxiety and a headache.
