Took my high school aged girl scouts here for a fun night along with my husband and co-leader. Some of the group is artistic and some (like myself!) are not at all artistically inclined. Registering for a painting time was very easy and convenient. We knew in advance so i was able to book online. You can see what paintings that they will be doing on different days and different times. So simple! They send you a couple of reminder emails prior to your event. There are no refunds so just be sure you are solid about going ;) You can checkin up to 30 minutes prior to your paint time. This would be recommended. So you have time to settle in. Check out what you will be painting, maybe get some beverages. They have alcoholic and non alcoholic choices. Also some choices of like chips for food. Not sure what else there was. I had hot herbal lemon tea. Very tasty and a large glass of water. My husband got some wine. Your spot is clearly labeled on the table so if you are meeting others there be sure to note that in your reservation so you are seated together. Upon arrival, you check in with the person standing near the front door. They have your canvas, paints and paintbrushes already set up. They start the class on time so be sure to get there a little early. The atmosphere is relaxed. They do walk back and forth to show you what they are doing and the teacher is mic'd so hopefully everyone can hear what they are saying. The location was clean. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. We really enjoyed ourselves. I would come back for a date night or with a group. Prices were fair for a night out. read more

We're visit from Texas and had a great time at Pinots Palette. We did the starry nights event and enjoyed some drinks and a charcuterie board box. Had a wonderful time painting this past weekend with the bestie! We arrived way earlier than We expected! But they didn't mind and we got ourselves some tasty drinks from the bar! A sangria for my friend and this strawberries and cream mimosa for myself, yum. The staff were all great! Everyone so friendly and fun. It was a lovely atmosphere. I've been to lots of these types of places and Pinots Palette didn't disappoint. Our instructor was fun and patient and helped everyone create their own little masterpiece! My kids did spring break camp at Pinot's Palette (affectionately called "wine camp" at our house) and had a blast. The instructors really interacted with the kids and let them make the paintings their own. I couldn't believe how well my kids painted, and they came home happy each day. I rarely get to do things like this, my gal pal and I were trying to find something to do. We found this as we were enjoying dinner not too far from here... we called and thank the Friday night gods there was a cancellation for two! Say what, it was just meant to be. The instructor and bar tender were delightful, kind and patient. One of my favorite parts was checking in via Yelp and getting a FREE drink. The class was a wonderful different activity to do. I had a great time at a private party held here last weekend -- it was a nice way to spend a snowy weekend! The private room can probably accommodate about 20 people comfortably? With our own instructor, tunes, and the judgement of only your group of friends it was a nice way to ease into the painting and sipping experience. While I'm not sure that I'm ready to frame my painting and hang it up on the wall, I am pretty pleased at how it turned out ... the acrylic paints are a pretty forgiving medium for even the most inexperienced "artist." The larger studio is quite spacious, and it looks like they arrange smaller groups at individual tables. There is a decent selection of libations available for purchase at the bar -- I quite enjoyed my glass of Pinot Noir -- and there are a number of regular events (e.g. Ladies' Night) and special classes (paint your pet) available, too. I'm looking forward to trying the paint your pet class sometime later this spring -- I'm pretty sure that painting will garner some wall space, in the utility room next to the grooming table at the very least. read more

Our office had a belated holiday/birthday/baby shower party here and we all really enjoyed ourselves. There were about 10 of us and the back party room was perfect. We brought our own snacks and the bar had wine and beer to compliment. We chose a medium-difficulty painting to tackle and the end result was really amazing. None of us had ANY experience in artistry but we all felt accepted, encouraged, and inspired! I brought my artwork home and my family couldn't believe I didn't purchase it somewhere (and that is saying ALOT for me and my talent!). :) The staff was gracious enough to allow us several breaks for drink refills and then time to open our presents at the end of the session. Overall, I've enjoyed my time here. But I'm into these paint classes and I've experienced several different paintings at 3 different local venues, so I can compare the pros and cons of each. I do go to these for fun and relaxation, but I also specifically choose paintings that I want to learn how to do fairly well and display in my home for long term enjoyment. So, I do expect the artist to recreate what I am paying for and planning based on the picture online. While there are several great things about this venue, I have to say that the painting the artists did in class seemed to clearly be recreations of another artist's work, and slightly but noticeably different to the discerning eye. There were some details that I was hoping to learn, in shading and colors and highlighting that were not recreated, that I wished we could have learned. The advertised painting was more advanced than the artist's ability or allowed time seemed to allow for. I mention this because I prefer for advertising to be very accurate. For most customers, this probably won't matter, but since I have painted at another business (one town over from here) where the instructors only teach and advertise the paintings they created themselves, you know exactly what you are getting there. Valid to some customers and not to others, and more for those who want to learn than for those who are only looking for the fun aspect. It also tends to also be a little more crowded than another business down south, but that won't matter to many and with the 2 instructors, that helps. The pros for this business for me were comfy chairs (those molded ergonomic types which are nice for sitting for a while); 2 instructors so there is always someone to come around and help; great location downtown for walking to dinner/dessert/dancing/drinks, and a generally nice experience. I would go back, but I would appreciate if the management would be more particular about the artists recreating the same painting, same skill set, etc as advertised, for the more detail oriented types. read more

My girlfriend and I are traveling through Colorado and we wanted to experience one of these classes yesterday, Monday March 27th. They have a calendar posted in the store window showing they're open from 11am-6pm for the particular day. We got there some time after 11am only to find the door still closed. I called the number provided. Kim(?) answered the phone and informed me that they are closed on Mondays. I then told her that the calendar shows that they're open from 11am-6pm, after which she rudely asked me who I am and that they will be open seven days a week from next week. read more

Had my bachelorette party here. They gave us our own room and we got to pick our design and bring in our own wines. I loved seeing all the variations at the end and and we each had something to take home that was unique. The location is so nice because it's right in the heart of Old Town Fort Collins on one of my most favorite streets. read more

I have been to this studio multiple times and have always had a good experience. The instructors have always allowed time for questions and assistance. All artists are friendly and seem to enjoy what they do! The wine was of great quality and I loved the FULL glass at a good price. There was plenty of paint on my plate that helped in finishing my artwork! They always take pictures which is fun because they can be viewed online to remember a fun night out! The start to finish time was great without problems. This is a great way to spend an evening, painting and drinking wine is very enjoyable! Love going to these shops whether in denver windsor and now fort collins, however between my girlfriends and I this was our least favorite. Way too over booked, it was hard not to hit elbows with the person sitting next to you or the person sitting behind you. They need a credit card to make reservations; however, a couple girls did not have one available and were unable to attend. The first glass of wine is not included (as is in most places) and wasn't explicitly stated. A couple times we had to ask the instructor if we were to wash our brush or combine colors or what? Plus it was hard to see through the billions of people in the room. For the price, would not return. read more
