What a most delightful experience, taking a paint & sip class! For those who don't know what a…read morepaint and sip is (a lot don't)- basically a business, like Painting With A Twist, has paint classes everyday where you pay admission per person and each class you are taught step by step how to create a specific painting. If you are of age, you have the option of bringing alcohol to sip as you paint, but you totally don't have to. Some places provide the alcohol, but this specific location at least is byob (bring your own beer). Seriously, even if you aren't an artistically inclined or creative person taking a painting class can still be a ton of fun. My dad is not artistic at all, doesn't have an artistic bone in his body really and he knows it, and he still had a ton of fun in the class and learned a lot. Plus, you have an instructor who walks you through how to paint small step by small step, and if you have questions they walk around and will help you correct things as well, so you really have as much guidance as you want, or not. As our hilarious instructor Scott said, "This is FUN art, not FINE art." This really was a ton of fun and i'm for sure going to take more classes in the future, it was the best night and Scott our instructor really helped to make it all the more fun!

They give you protective gear for your clothes (a poncho) and gloves and covers for your shoes (but they don't cover your entire shoes). We didn't get messy though so it was fine. They have a separate room and hang the canvas on the wall. You can choose from different colors and have some options for splattering (flinging paint from a paint brush, using a spray bottle, or a water gun). I wish they had a few more different colors options. It was fun and the paintings turn out cool, no artistic talent needed. The Eventbrite said you would blow dry it at the end, but they had us leave them to dry and pick them up later.

They will bring the party to you. At a restaurant, club house, or even your home. The owner Stephanie will even design a painting based on your event. She was so great to work with. We wanted a specialized design. She talked through the design with me and sent me ideas via email. We texted and called back and forth until we got it just right! The day of the event her artist Spencer was so much fun and flexible with our group of 15 ladies. He set up and talked us through paintings. He gave each lady assistance when they weren't sure if there masterpiece was going according to their plan. He had his boom box and asked what type of music we wanted. He actually said you all look like the neo soul type and I told him he nailed it. He was fun and friendly and in tune with our group. It was a great evening!

Talk about a hidden gem! We had so much fun today painting our ceramics. The owner was kind,…read morepatient and answered all of our billions of questions. She was attentive and made sure that we felt comfortable, offered us drinks from her menu and even offered to change up the music. She had a large collection of ceramics to choose from starting at just $5! Once we chose our piece she brought us examples of fired products and glazes so that we knew exactly what color to expect after firing. We had an awesome time today and will definitely be back to paint ceramics again or to attempt a canvas painting!
