I enjoy the hands-on format of the instruction, and it's always a relief to know that you don't just have one hunk of clay to work with during the lesson. The studio is airy and spacious with lots of awesome pottery in various stages of finishing to look at, from both instructors and students. There's also a little alcove of free art (clay projects left behind) that you can claim as your own as you head back to your car. The whole process of being at Centered Clay feels very mindful, even the prep and clean up processes. It's a reprieve from the rest of the daily grind in the week. If you're on the fence about trying a class, I would encourage you to try one out! The atmosphere is conducive to making art and enjoying a calm time with clay and others.

You have to be patient when wood burning. I really liked my final art! We were provided with instructions on how to take care of it and washing instructions so we can use it with food. As we got seated, our instructor greeted us and provided housekeeping rules. He gave all brushes and colors. He was very gentle and friendly. He shared his personal journey as well as got to know us.
