Our Associate Board from Resilience ran our first ever fundraiser here at Pinot's Palette. Tony was amazing in helping us out with organizing the fundraiser, and collaborating with us to raise almost $3,500 during the night! We hosted about 98 painters, and all painted beautiful winter landscapes. Instructor was clear and really helpful. Loved this place and experience. Was invited to a dear friend's bridal shower party/private event. Molly was our painter and host who guided us through each stroke :). I was very fond of the layout and especially the personalization of our name in front of our individual easel. They have their own bar: downside, its not open bar, upside..you can pay for unlimited $15 mimosas on sunday. BYOF, they had plates and utensils (complimentary bottled water) available, not entirely sure if it was due to our private event or their general rule of thumb. They played music all throughout the time as we eased into the painting. The 2 hour experience was fun and would definitely do again. Parking is free on sundays as well otherwise you'll be paying the city like any other days. read more

I came here last night for an Elite event, and had THE. BEST. TIME. Having never been to a paint and drink/sip and sketch/drinking word and art word, I was psyched to try this out. First off, when I walked in (I was actually the first there), all of the staff were SO incredibly friendly and nice. One girl (who I forget, but your lipstick was bomb) showed me around, helped me put up my stuff, and most importantly, directed me to where the Chipotle was (lol). The bartender Dustin was friendly, easy on the eyes, and had a strong pour (this is a great thing). The cocktails and wine were wonderful, and I LOVED that they were kind enough to set up Chipotle catering for us. Tamara and her husband (didn't catch his name), who are the owners, are an absolute delight. Every single employee was cheery, easy to talk to, and an overall pleasure to be around. I would honestly come back and not even paint, just hang out with the staff. The studio itself is bright and cute. The walls look like they came straight out of an episode of Fixer Upper, the place is well lit, the bathrooms are clean; no complaints from me. No matter where you are in the room, it's easy to see the artist and the painting you need to copy (they have it blown up on the TV). Our artist, Molly, was an absolute gem. Enthusiastic, engaging, and great at what she does. I did think she went a tiiiiny bit fast at times, but she was so good about repeating herself that it was never an issue for me. My Chicago skyline turned out fantastic!!! (for someone with my skill level at least). This event was a class, but it was also a party. Everyone was chatting and drinking and having the time of their lives. I honestly can't imagine a better first experience for this type of event. I have 0 artistic skill and they made my painting turn out well, but made the entire experience fun. read more

Let me start off by saying: "I HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME!" The staff was absolutely amazing. Tamara(owner, wife) was a sweetie, Dustin aka "Ditsy," (as I nicknamed him), the bartender, was Hot and friendly, and the painter girl (sorry-didn't catch your name) was AWESOME. The husband and the other two employees were also nice (although I didn't catch their names..) Everyone was so amazing! The location was awesome, however, for a party starting at 6:30ish, I can see how traffic might be a tad of a problem..: however, my friend and I happened to get free parking right out front! Lucky us! We took Milwaukee straight down, coming from the north side, which, leaving at 6:10pm, we were able to get there at 6:30pm! There are two studios, the front studio and a private studio. The private studio is painted in a beautiful mural of Chicago. Definitely worthy of a selfie with it in the background! There are two bathrooms, which are clean and practical but pleasantly designed, with just the right amount of "decor". There is a bar with, as I've mentioned, a hot and awesome bartender (Dusty). There are very good house drinks, as well as craft beers and wine. Overall, the atmosphere was warm and light. They didn't treat it as a class, but as a party. They even asked us for feedback, and I honestly can't say that there isn't anything that they aren't already doing that's just right. I love you, Pinot's Palette! I'll be back, soon! read more

Once you experience a class at Pinot's Palette, you're going to want to come back. I have been in three studio classes, and each one was as enjoyable as the one before. The room is always filled with music, the walls covered in bright paintings, and the artists/staff are friendly, warm, and encouraging. Prepare to have numerous paints and brushes at your disposal, as well as a well-stocked bar. The artist guides you every step of the way, and will backtrack if you get lost (and other artists walk around the room, giving advice and complimenting a brush stroke or color choice). The beauty of Pinot's Palette is that you don't have to follow the instructions exactly, if at all. If you're feeling green instead of red, you will be encouraged to do so. Painting and sipping wine has never seemed so accessible or more fun! I love this place. I really do. read more

This was my first time at a Paint and Sip--- it exceeded all my expectations. The venue to classy and colorful- a nicely positioned corner bar and rows of canvasses. This brought me back to my high school art classes - I had fun neighbors to chat with while painting. The instructor Jae was an absolute delight. I am an expert educator & trainer - from my professional observation, Jae(the instructor) ensured all participants felt at ease with a paintbrush, even those who never painted before. She gave the class a sense that whatever they painted it should be valued and that we were all here for a good time. In addition- she was excellent instructing us on painting techniques yet still giving us the sense that we could improvise as we feel fit to do so. Jae cracked jokes the entire time and I would definitely look to return for another class with her as the instructor. I also met the owner- he walked around speaking with participants. He was very welcoming and added to the fun. I highly recommend giving Pinot's Palette a shot! read more

I had a great time with my Godmother and niece here! We decided to stop in to find out more about the classes they offer. Turned out the class that was about to start had some open seats so we decided to stay and paint! This place is great for this! They have high ceilings and the woman teaching the class was higher up on a small platform so everyone in the class could see her instructions. The employees were all so very helpful and accommodating to the fact that my Godmother is in a wheelchair. For that I'm am so very grateful! They have a bar with wines and beers and nonalcoholic drinks as well. Street parking is metered (get the ParkChicago app and you will not have run back to feed the meter once your 2hrs is up). read more

Went here with the Yelp Elites as a part of a freebie promotion and had a very good time. The painting is pretty relaxing, the bartender was friendly, and the house cocktail was pretty good! The instructions were pretty easy to follow, but make sure you actually watch the instructor rather than just listening. Some parts of mine came out pretty funky because I didn't quite get the instructions right. You should also try to pick a painting that suits your skills. We tried the Chicago skyline, and mine turned out pretty badly, in part because I'm awful at drawing straight lines! So try and think about what you're good at (straight lines, fine movements, etc) and sort of go from there. It was definitely fun to do with a group, could be a good office outing or something like that. read more

I decided to have my bachelorette party here very close to the time I got married Sept 11th. Tamera the owner of the Logan Square location was perfect from the first email, to every phone call after to meet me or answer my questions, and every email to check in with me! She literally made me feel as if I was the most important person ever to get married! I wanted something that was creative and fun. It hit the mark and then some. Tamera set up our table so it was customised, to her being our bartender, to having the absolutely talented painter/ teacher! She was pure perfection, and her customer service was beyond what you find out there today. My daughter an i had an awesome night out at the studio. It was both our first time painting and our instructor was great. He said he could fix anything and he could! The pace is fast so you need to stay focused. I loved it personally. Party behind us was boisterous and lost but we stayed on task and had fun doing it.
