An update to my prior review they apparently remove negative reviews on The Knot by abusing the…read moredispute function Completely unprofessional Prior Review: A major disappointment. We contracted them for two months of design work ahead of the date and received nothing for the first month. We prodded them through their frustrating website (the only means of communication since we never got any sort of direct email address) and when we did finally receive a mood board it was 6-8 images of items that were all clearly pulled from a single search on their preferred vendor website. We ended up doing all the decor planning and transportation ourselves so this was a complete waste. We only met our day-of coordinator a week or so ahead of the day and while Emily was professional and courteous Gina basically missed the whole meeting on the phone with someone else as we could hear through the video call. In the end bc we had done all the planning and transport ourselves and our venue coordinator had done all the logistics work with our vendors there wasn't much to do on the day. We found out later through social media they're contracting 3 or more weddings per weekend so if you want any sort of personal attention, look elsewhere. They're clearly optimizing for quantity over quality.

We planned and payed for our whole wedding ourselves and with Gina's help as our day of coordinator, our day was better than we ever could have imagined. Everything that Gina and her associate did to set up was absolutely stunning and she thought of everything. She was so calm and collected and that was priceless, as it helped keep me grounded. She was detailed oriented and made sure everything was set up to our liking. My husband and I both haven't stopped telling each other that hiring Gina was the best decision we made in planning since the day we first spoke to her. We felt an immense weight lifted off our shoulders since the day we hired her and the impact she had on our big day was massive. Would highly highly recommend!

After many rounds at this course, I always thought it was fun and cheap. Well, now I know exactly why it's cheap -- because the place is a disaster. The tee boxes are cratered, the greens are awful, and apparently the only thing the owner cares about is throwing tantrums over a single divot on a course already covered in them. We were on hole 15 when my buddy took a normal swing and made a divot -- nothing unusual, especially on a course with 80 divots per tee box. Out of nowhere, this guy comes storming up in flip‑flops, no socks, a dingy polo, golf clubs tossed in the back, and a six‑year‑old trailing behind him, and starts barking orders like a drill sergeant. He demands my buddy fill the divot. Fine -- my buddy says he will. Then my other friend tees off, and this clown is still standing there, arms crossed, repeating himself like a malfunctioning robot: "Fix that divot now." My buddy fills it, and instead of leaving, this man announces he's going to "watch everyone swing." Completely deranged behavior. We politely tell him it's time for him to move along. Words are exchanged. Then this genius decides to take our cart keys and tells us it's "our time to leave" and that we can walk back. We're stranded on hole 15 with no idea who this lunatic is. We call the pro shop to complain. They apologize and say they have no idea who that guy is. One of our buddies walks all the way back to the clubhouse -- and guess who's behind the counter? Flip‑flops himself. He now claims he's the owner and tells my buddy to "get the f**k off the course." My buddy calls us, so we start walking back. An employee sees one of us walking and gives him a ride, telling him this isn't the first time customers have had issues with the owner -- apparently this guy has a whole history of meltdowns. As we're walking, the owner drives past us in a cart, taunting us about how "nice it is to ride since it's such a long walk." Truly the behavior of a grown man who has lost control of his life. Back at the clubhouse, we ask for a refund since we started on the back nine and only made it to hole 15. The front desk lady basically shrugs and says she can't do anything because "he's the owner" and this kind of thing "isn't uncommon." Then Mr. Unhappy himself shows up again and tells us we're "f**king stupid" if we think he's giving us a refund because he's the owner and he "has the right." At that point, we knew we weren't getting our money back, but we wanted documentation of how insane this was, so we asked for the cops to be called. The owner then tries to threaten us with DUIs and says this will "blow up in your face." The cops arrive, listen to the story, and even they think the situation is ridiculous -- but since he's the owner, if he wants us trespassed, that's what happens. We told the officers we understood and that we weren't expecting a refund at that point. We left, trespassed -- which is honestly a blessing, because why would we ever want to spend another dollar here? To top it off, the buddy who walked all the way to the pro shop had a contract ready to spend serious money with this place. That deal is dead now. This was a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE with a man who clearly needs help. We were just the unlucky targets of his miserable, frustrated life. NEVER GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR MONEY!!!

We have only visited this location for birthday parties, once when they first opened and once…read morerecently. The first birthday that we attended was a mediocre experience. It was a Sunday late afternoon. The venue had at least three birthday parties ongoing at the same time. Each birthday party's section was divided by a short fence. Separation is minimal at best. There were too many kids in most of the inflatables and the capacity level did not appear to be controlled. Parents had very limited space to stay close to their children. It is not an issue for older children but it can be a challenge for younger ones. With the more recent birthday party, the hosts opted for a private 2.5 hour session and it was a lot more comfortable. The party had approximately 50 people. Our children were able to venture and explore at their own comfort and with plenty of space to jump, bounce, and run. I am unsure if FunFlatables has the option to cater food but the hosts brought pizza, fruits, cookies, soft drinks, juice, and birthday cake. Our party had at least six plastic picnic tables so there were enough seating for everyone. The venue is relatively clean. There are two all gender bathrooms. For a private party with a controlled capacity, that is adequate. If they have open play and/or birthday parties with a lot of attendees, that might not be adequate. Most children in the midst of fun tend to wait till the last minute to indicate they have to use the bathroom so you might want to plan ahead!

We did his party on a Friday evening (5-8pm) and it worked out perfectly. Thankfully, they were able to get it all rescheduled correctly!

Could not have nicer things to say about working with My Chef and Jamie Walsh for our wedding day…read morecatering. We met Jamie at our venue's vendor expo and were immediately impressed by their services, pricing, and vast food offerings. It was a no brainer to book with their group! We had our tasting a couple months before our wedding day; which is complimentary to the couple and a $50 charge for any additional guest to join. They have you select 8-10 appetizers, 2 salads, and 4 entrees to taste at their Naperville location. They also have displays of china, silverware, glasses and more to help couples select what aligns aesthetically for their special day. Jamie worked with us to make small modifications to their standard offerings to make the food exactly what we wanted! Our wedding day came and we were floored by the quality/presentation of food, level of detail in place settings, and service from all staff members. We had multiple guests say that this was some of the best wedding food they've had, steaks were not over cooked, and food tasted fresh. Jamie also let us add desserts a week out to reallocate money from a couple of guests who last minute were unable to attend. Their team was even nice enough to service items not purchased through their group: disposables for the late night snack, display and refilling of cupcakes, etc. Overall, their group went above and beyond for us under Jamie's leadership. Our tables looked great, our food was wonderful, and their team was fabulous. We truly appreciate all they've done for us and could not recommend them more! Getting everything in order before the big day is one part of her work, she gathered vendors months in advance and made sure we were all on the same page.
