I talked to like 6 different firms, and what immediately drew me to Prestige was Nestor's professionalism and demeanor. He was easy to talk to, kind and very sharp. He wasn't pushy, and clearly explained the way in which he would approach my case. Up to that point, every firm I talked to was requiring me to sign lengthy service contracts filled with a lot of red flags and broad indemnity clauses. Nestor on the other hand was honest and up front, telling me he could take on my case for an extremely reasonable flat fee, and no ridiculous 10 page contract requiring a kidney as collateral. The intake alone was a breath of fresh air. Having just finished my case, I can also say this team delivers above and beyond what's expected. I honestly feel like I owe more than I paid. Nestor spent the weekend working on my case, and went well beyond the parameters to get me more than I expected or asked for. When I arrived today, I met with a man named Oscar. I told him I was there to file taxes for my mother and for her trust. For some reason, Oscar asked me when my mother died -- she's still alive. Then he told me he couldn't do a trust return. When I asked why they'd booked an appointment for a trust return if they don't handle trust returns, Oscar blamed his assistant. This is despite the fact that "trust income tax preparation" is listed as a specialty on this very Yelp page. So now I have to start from scratch -- find a new tax professional and book another appointment, probably a month out. This is incredibly inconvenient, and it was easily avoidable. The worst part is that it's going to cost me real money. The delay between when the trust taxes should have been filed and when they actually will be filed is going to increase late payment fees and penalties. While you explained the risks, you never explained what your company does differently to justify charging so much more.
