I have been bowling at Pinz many times but this was the first time that I ate in the bar area and it happened to be the miracle pop up. When I think of food at a bowling alley, I typically think mediocre but wow was I surprised. First of all, the holiday decor was super fun. And our bartender/server Kenny was very attentive. We started with the spin dip and it was so tasty and perfect match with the pita triangles. I also got the Mrs clause and the steak was nice and tender and seasoned well and the mashed potatoes were great! Lastly we got the dessert and it was quite tasty. We did have a few of the festive cocktails. I got the christmasaurus and the Rudolph's replacement. Both of these were super tasty! Don't sleep on visiting here. It's a hidden gem.

If you're looking for some fun...this is the place. This place has a lot to offer...bowling, arcade, private bowling suite, a restaurant/tavern, bar, etc. we decided to go bowling to get out of the house on a cold winter day. We rsvp'ed online for a bowling lane at a certain time on the same day. The process was easy but seeing as though I haven't bowled in maybe 10+ years...the prices are steep for family of 3 on a Saturday and bowling for an hour (includes shoes/bowling ball). $78 (with tax). We didn't order any food on this trip. I was happy to have some assisted help from the bowling Dino (I'll call it) for my son to bowl but the bumpers don't really bump the ball back across the lane. It was hard for my son to get a strike. He did get at least a spare. I'm excited to come back and try some GFF options at the restaurant and some more bowling!

My team went for a bonding bowling night and we got 2 lanes in the VIP section. Which means it's a little more private and probably before covid there was menu service. They also have huge TVs playing music videos and sports. We had a great time! The lanes were new and high end with no mechanical issues. Drinks were reasonably priced and the food looked good but we didn't get any. We played 1 final death game of air hockey at the end and called it a night-- 3 hours passed easily. Minus 1 star because quite a few of the arcade games were out of order. The parking lot was packed but it's very spacious and most people are localized to their bowling lane so it was quite spread out. I'll definitely go again! Can't wait to go laser tagging.

We had my daughter's birthday party at Pinz - great packages and options to choose from. We did the laser tag package. All the kids had such a fun time! It was a very lively atmosphere and the staff were very friendly.

Great family and birthday party venue. We have a crew of six. The VIP package is a few dollars more and worth it for dedicated space and service.

If you have kids, this is a great place to bring them. They have plenty of games, laser tag and bowling to keep them busy. Most kids and adults love the 15 minute laser tag experience. Very fun and great workout! They have plenty of bowling lanes and have other options for adults to drink at the bar or eat at restaurant. The 10 pin alley area has monster screens for sports while bowling. Great place to do private birthday parties for younger kids and they get pizza, drinks and the birthday boy/girl gets a bowling pin to take home. Only reason I rate 4 stars vs 5 is they should hire more staff to work the arcade area, especially with how long it takes to scan cards to see how many points to redeem for prizes. The parking lot is huge and should have no problem finding a parking spot.

Came here to meet some friends quick and unfortunately had to leave before we got our lane. The bar area is quiet, a good place for adults to hang out and getaway - large menu with typicall bar food. Decent beer selection too. A lot of lanes including a secluded area that has giant screen TVs for you to watch the big game while you bowl. Lots of kids as this is an arcade and family friendly place!

Took our kids bowling and ordered some food, everything was great from service to food. The wings were nice and crispy like we like!

Upon further investigation, I learned how it all works post speaking with the staff member. First off, the pinball exterior machines are ran by a totally different company than Starcade and all those machines are .25 cents each. Starcade is stucked inside the former giant main restaurant of Keg and Case which offers unlimited gaming for $20. All the machines are set to free play after you pay the fee. There is a bar serving basic snacks such as chips, pizza and on tap local sodas. The liquor license was just recently obtained and the staff seems to think this will get rolling out within the next few months. I'm not a gamer, yet I can tell you lots of games exist vs. just pinball like the exterior. Inside Starcade, you will find both a main level and upstairs (where the former brewery was). It's dark, there are fun twinkle lights and LED signs. Starcade used to be located within Rosedale Mall so come give a warm welcome to them as they lay roots in Saint Paul! I look forward to returning and trying some games. It has a Can Can Wonderland feel but less complex. I'm very glad the building is getting used as it's a beautiful venue. Enjoy!

The kids loved the variety of arcade games. super value! Parking was easy. Very good service.read more

Could be SO much better…read more Just moved here from out of state recently. My 4-year old son misses his friends, so I wanted to take him to a place where he could play with other kids. I searched online for an inflatables place and was surprised there weren't more of them in the Northeast suburbs. Pump It Up wasn't too far, so we went there. My GPS took us right to the building, but I had to drive around a bit to find Pump It Up. It's in an office building complex and it's at the far end of the building. We went inside and the reception area is nice. They have a vending machine for snacks and before you go in, the parents and kids have to watch a safety video, which is short and helpful so everyone understands the rules. Then we are led to the rooms with the inflatables. The place seems clean, but it's too dark to really tell. I didn't think they were overstaffed today. There was one person at the front desk and two staff in the play area. They seemed attententive. One of them helped a boy find his family (because it was probably too dark in there for him to see). As Eva B. stated in her review, there are two rooms with inflatables and three inflatables in each room. Not a lot of variety. There weren't a lot of kids there, so over-crowding wasn't an issue. Each room is pretty dimly lit (think of a movie theater before the previews start). There are two very uncomfortable benches for parents to sit in each room. One room was pretty warm and the other was cool - they were connected by open doors so the kids could go from room to room. One of the rooms has an air hockey table that appeared to be free, although it was so crowded all the time, we didn't go over there to check it out. The inflatables places I'm used to going have tables for the parents and wi-fi access. They also have snack bars. You won't find those things here, I'm afraid. Some parents were even sitting on the floor because the benches are so uncomfortable. This place only has 4 open play sessions each week for only an hour and a half each. At $6, it seems pretty expensive. Still, we'll probably go back simply because of the lack of options. The staff is friendly and my son had a good time.

The parking was very easy, pulled right up to the door, walked right it (moms with young kids know how nice this is, especially in snow & ice). The staff greeting us warmly, and showed up around, took my son's jacket and gear, and then the birthday present. We sat in a nice waiting area, watched a safety video, and then the kids got started jumping. I felt at ease for an hour chatting with other parents as we watched the kids, it was safe and so much fun for them. It wasn't crowded either. Then we all went into the party room, ate pizza and cake. The staff has the routine down like a well-oiled machine. They gave the kids friendly instructions and got them to participate during each transition, they even wrote down each gift and the gifter for the parents, so the parents could take pictures and watch the birthday girl enjoy. We ended exactly at 3:00 as it said on the invitation said. The airlines could take a few lessons from their staff: friendly, fun and on time. I had so much fun and so did my son that we've decided that it is worth the splurge to have his next party here.
