Pioneer is as good as it gets for coffee in Dalton and within a reasonable driving distance. I visited Pioneer on a Saturday in October during Covid19 when masks were required. Pioneer followed Covid19 protocols. All furniture was sanitized after being used. I witnessed this happen several times. The barista washed his hands before preparing my drinks and in between customers. Customers wore masks. I would describe pioneer as a third wave coffee establishment. Equipment. They use a Nuova Simonelli Mythos Commercial Espresso Grinder and a La Marzocco Linea Commercial Dual Boiler Italian Espresso Machine. I witnessed pour over coffees brewed in a Kalita Wave 185 dripper. They currently use excellent coffee from specialty coffee roaster Theory Coffee Roasters from Redding, CA. The single origin coffee pour over I ordered was excellent. It was clean with a great after taste. I also ordered a cortado. It too was excellent. Presentation. The pour over coffee was served with a Kalita Wave carafe and a Lino coffee mug on a white plate. Personally, I think Pioneer should swap out the white plate for a wooden tray. The Kalita carafe just didn't fit right in the tray and made too much noise when replacing it after pouring my coffee. I think a wooden tray of some sort would go better with the decor. Decor. I'd describe the decor as a barn/farm/rustic/lodge. Old farm equipment decorates the walls and spaces. Edison lights hand from the walls. Old window frames hang on one wall. I love how they broke up the space by creating separate comfortable sitting area. The Brown, rustic cushioned seats and brown cushioned sofa are super comfortable and the animal skin rug gives the space a lodge like feel. The bathroom was super clean and spacious. They have a traditional third wave coffee menu. They serve tea and some food and treats. There is a cooler with bottled soft drinks etc. read more

Amazing coffeehouse! This place has just about everything you would want for a nice cozy coffeehouse. The coffee is super professional, when you see a coffee place that offers pour overs and aero press along with latte art you know they mean business with their coffee. The staff is super friendly and very pleasant to offer dine in cups for our lattes which is very refreshing to see since almost no coffee shops have dine in cups anymore. We got a mocha, wild rose latte with oat milk and a buckeye cupcake and everything was what we were expecting and more in the quality of their coffee and my wife said it was one of the best cupcakes she's ever had. The atmosphere is very pleasant with calming music playing in the background. This was a very pleasant stop heading back home and a nice way to forget about the world drama by sipping on a delicious latte in a ceramic mug! read more

Pioneer has been on my radar for awhile now. I pass it every time I visit my grandparents, and I always mean to stop to grab some coffee except I typically already have some with me! I made it a point to stop on my way back home. To be honest I had moderate expectations but I was blown away! It has a nice vibe and plenty of places to sit if you're like me and like working at coffeehouses. Their menu is clear and they have a variety of coffeehouse drinks (hello, London fog!). I ended up ordering a cafe latte. The cashier was very friendly and was happy to answer any questions I had. The best part? The coffee was *delicious* While I do love visiting indie coffee places, sometimes the coffee is just so-so. But this? YUM! Since that visit I have been back with my mom. We went through the drive thru that time and had the same friendly service and yummy tasting coffee! I highly recommend this place if you're nearby! read more

Legit coffee! Their pour overs are so amazing.... But.. can we talk about the cold brew floats I've never had such a delicious mid-day pick me up and treat. It was interesting to hear about the ddifferent coffee's they carry, where they came from, and the different awards that it had one across the country. Their coffee options are some of the best tasting I've had, better than many of the specialty coffee shops in Cleveland. You won't be disappointed. Friendly staff and clean space. Excellent wifi if you need to work for a few hours. They do offer a Matcha Latte which I don't often see. Matcha is not for everyone, but their version tastes great if you like matcha. read more

We passed through Dalton, and wanted to get some coffee. After a quick Google search we found Pinoneers Coffee Roasters. A small coffee shop behind a gas station. Not much from the outside, but once you walk in you'll find a cute little shop with plants, fun music and a good environment. The menu is small (which I prefer) with a few seasonal specials. You can get coffee, tea, hot choclate and even small food items like a bagel, cupcake or muffin. The girls making the coffee, and taking the order were very nice. They got lots of seating options. Super impressed! Great atmosphere and coffee is unbelievable. I asked for something sweet and the barista recommended an eggnog latte, not as sweet as I anticipated, but still pretty good for a seasonal drink. Found out about this place yesterday when I met the guy that opened with his wife. Really awesome human so I figured that I would try it out since it's the ONE thing I actually like in an area where it's absolutely NOTHING to do. If your having a good day, the vibes will keep you lifted and the positioning of everything inside are so simple and beautifully placed. If your having a bad day it's an even better place to be because the positive vibes just seep into your pores, it's very calming and uplifting! The barista was pretty knowledgeable about what things worked for and with what, very trusting! That's a good feeling... absolute hidden treasure once you find out about this place. Can't go wrong here, all you need to do is walk in the door and your in baby! To top it off they have a DRIVE THRU for people that have life going on and you can catch vibes through the window or you can come in and catch that "good vibe bug!" Because I stopped journaling to be sure I write this just off of how I felt when I got up and actually moved my body to how I'm feeling right now. Whole different vibe and I have them to thank because I coulda just went and grab a coffee and did this anywhere but this whole entire experience was just week changing for me thank god because it's Wednesday and I needed it, I was defeated already.
