I am totally thrilled with the job the Pioneer Landscapes team did replacing the aging foundation planting around my house. I met Lex Pariseault at the Home Show and discussed the work I wanted done. We set up an appointment at that time for her to come out, view the job and give me an estimate. Lex kept me informed from start to finish and made sure I was completely satisfied with the plans she was proposing, the plant material they intended to use and the finished product. Lex listened to my wants and needs and matched the plants chosen to my level of gardening prowess - non-existent. The finished product was even better than the plans I approved. I am delighted. The Pioneer Landscape team gave my house curb appeal which previously had been sorely lacking. I feel the price they charged was reasonable considering the scope of the job. Not a very reliable company. Strung me along for four weeks. Made an appointment for an estimate. Lex needed to cancel. rescheduled for the following weekend. Cancelled again, and promised that the owner would be by at 2:00 pm. waited around until 4:30 pm. Never showed up, and never called to let me know. sent Lex another email, and then never responded. Had Pioneer Landscapes out of Easthampton, Ma trim my shrubs for 375.00, work was sloppy, shrubs were lopsided, arborvitaes tops were lopped off, just a mess. We immediately contacted them and sent pictures. They didn't come back to fix their mess, took 100.00 off my 375.00 bill, we didn't find that acceptable and they didn't care. They said that there's been a lot of changes in their company and they need to look into their management ... well that doesn't help me at al as I am out hundreds of dollars and my Landscaping looks worse than when they started it's a terrible job by what appeared to be teenagers with little to not training. Oh my gosh, this is perhaps the worst run business in New England. Not only do they start jobs and never return after asking you to pay upfront, the quality of their work is totally substandard and costs at least 50% more than all their competitors. They are unreliable, rude, inconsistent, often times incompetent and their owner is a diehard Trump supporter who will curse you out if he thinks you aren't. Never again. I called them in October to get an estimate for An intensive project to begin in the spring. I talked to a pleasant woman who transferred me to some guys voice mail. I left a message and I got no call back. I then sent an email, again no response. I don't think they are very ambitious over there. Another company is about to begin my 30k project any time now. Brian and crew did a great job of removing an old garden, carefully preserving a japanese maple, and laying down stone and rock. It's beautiful. They came when they promised, worked in the rain, finished the next day. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I will hire them in the spring to finish some mulching and install outdoor lighting. read more

Do not use this company for any pond needs. I hired them (Brian) last year for several issues with my pond. I paid them almost $1000 and not one thing was fixed. I will focus on one because it shows the level of expertise and commitment. My skimmer had separated at the seam. Brian said he couldn't get the screws out and fixed it as best he could. By the end of the summer is was leaking again. Brian said that there was no way to get the screws out and that I would have to buy and install a new skimmer (thousands of dollars). He was to call me back with an estimate, but never did. I researched what was involved and was able to drill out the screws myself and replace them. It cost around $25. I don't even know much about ponds. As a professional Brian was unable to do what I figured out on my own. Don't use them!!! read more

Completely inadequate snow removal quality. Avoid this business. Sometimes didn't shovel at all. When they did the work was never of adequate quality. Completely defensive over lack of shoveling and gave a token discount once over missed shovelling. read more

This company regularly does not complete the contracted items for summer services, they have to come back half the time to complete the job. They cut down a flower garden last summer twice. They have also plowed our driveway for the last couple years. Today they left a six foot mountain of snow in front of our garage, we can not get the car out. We asked them to finish the job and they said for an additional $85 fee they would remove the snow, citing there is no place to,out it. This is untrue as there is an empty, flat area right beside the drive way. They over charge and do not provide the service to back it up. Go someplace else. read more
