They seem to offer the range of services I'm interested in-- maintenance, irrigation, and care for our well-designed beds and borders. Sadly, my two requests for a consult/quote remain unanswered, nearly a month after I contacted Whirlwind. Professional gardeners and plantpersons are a must for me. I've had crews who assured me they could deadhead and ended up topping a fothergilla in early May, digging out perennials because they "looked like weeds", and tearing lawns with dulled mower blades (hello, Laetisaria fuciformis). Ever the optimist, I'm trying again in this part of the state that values agriculture and best practices in the garden. Guess I'll have to keep trying.

They…read morereturned my phone calls right away, were happy to meet me at the property to give me an estimate, came in with a lower quote than 3 other local companies, did the work within 2 weeks of the estimate as promised, and it looks fantastic. Truly professional through and through. Im using them again next year and every year after that. I should note that before I found New England Greenscape, I tried contacting other local companies- most wouldn't return my calls despite my leaving many messages, others were reluctant to meet me at the property to give me an estimate (we're talking job worth several thousand dollars), those that finally showed up quoted me a price that was between $500-$1000 higher (!!!) than New England Greenscape. Bottom line, if you want a reliable professional and well priced landscaper, call Steve at New England Greenscape. Don't waste your time money and energy with these other guys.

They have all the good gear; newish truck with a telescoping basket that can reach farther and higher than I thought possible, safety gear and harnesses, hard hats, not-too-noisy chainsaws and blowers. They were fast, polite, efficient and did an excellent job with cleaning up the tree limbs, and raking up all the little bits and shredding them. Big bonus-I asked in advance if we could have the shredded wood chips and they said "sure" and we got a big load of chips dumped right where we requested. Would definitely use Tall Tree again!

I used Snow & Sons for a late fall clean-up after getting a close-to-home quote that was almost…read moredouble the time & $. (And he bad-mouthed Snow's quality too.) From start to finish, working with Snow's was a smooth, responsive process: phone gets picked up by someone nice, Ed swings by to estimate because he was in the area, they follow up with day & time later that day, a 2-man team descends on the yard (3/4 acre) a couple of days later and cleans up w/in ~3 hours, including gutters, just in time for winter. Other than exchanging pleasantries and pointing out a couple of things to watch out for, I just sat back and watched the "SWAT team" from inside my cozy kitchen. I then had Snow's come back during a warm week in January to take down 4 hemlock trees. The original thought was to trim the branches over my roof but after discussing with my neighbor, I decided to have the trees taken down. Ed and another SWAT team arrived to reassess early. 1 day to trim (including 2 other trees) and 1 day to take down. Anything that could be chipped was. Any debris was blown & cleaned up. Communication at each stage was very good. They're pleasant but not overly chatty. The guy who's up in the bucket for 6-8 hours with the chainsaw is amazing. He also cleaned out a gutter that's hard to reach. The care taken with my neighbor's driveway & lawn was appreciated. Other than a few tracks, you couldn't tell they'd been there. Once the ground refroze, they sent over a heavy-duty lumber truck to pick up the big trunks. He took all of 20 minutes. Taking down trees is not cheap. But, if you're going to do it, and you're picky, and you don't want it to drag out over days and weeks while some weekender figures out when he can do it with ropes and hiring a chipper, call Snow's.

The quote in writing with proof of insurance was emailed within an hour of Dextre's first visit. Time for removal was established and kept as promised. The 6 man crew arrived 20 minutes earlier than promised on removal day, they set-up and an hour later all the wood and debris had been completely removed. The whole experienced went flawlessly at a fair and affordable price. Do not hesitate to give these folks a call, their service, response time and professionalism is exemplary!!!
