We have used Pioneer for about a year for both our lawn and indoor services. We have used several other companies in the past and with out a doubt my lawn has never looked so good. I often get compliments on how great my grass looks and it is definitely thanks to Pioneer. Our indoor service is ok and I would say it's comparable to others we have used. CUSTOMER CARE AND SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. First, I'll start this review by explaining when the issues started. I have been a customer with pioneer since I bought my house in 2022 in Deland. I paid for both the pest control and lawn care from them. They were great until this year. First, my lawn was starting to die in several areas to which they suggested having an irrigation technician come out and look at my sprinkler system. I agreed and the tech came out and suggested a solution and I agreed and paid for it. This did not remedy my lawn so I contacted them again. I was explained that the old technician that was working on my lawn was fired for doing improper treatments. I addressed this with the company in February / March and then asked about cancelling my lawn service since my lawn was dying anyways. They asked if it would be ok to have a manager come out and talk with me to which I agreed. One gentleman's name was Eddie and I did not get the other one's name. Eddie made an agreement with me to come out and replace all the heads in my sprinkler system along with fixing a sprinkler head that was not fixed back when I paid for it to be fixed. He then said that the lawn technician would come out and do a treatment and they assured me that they would get my lawn back in working order. It is now July and I have not received any contact from the company. I have called on 4 different occasions and left a message for a manager to contact me. I have also wrote a few emails that was only answered once with "I'll look into it and get back with you." Since the start of this they just stopped showing up and have not tried to reach out. This is very disappointing because the company has been great up until an issue was addressed and their answer to customer service was to just ignore the customer and hopefully they go away. I would like to add that I was professional and polite with them through all of this and never once gave them an issue. But if this is how a company deals with a problem then I think everyone else should know. I do not recommend using this company. read more

Started off well...yard looked great for 10 months. Started seeing a rapid decline in multiple areas. Several visits to the property and was told I needed $1000 worth of repairs to my irrigation. Nothing had changed with my irrigation...had a second opinion from another company and they diagnosed chinch bugs. I have had Pioneer for a couple of years now and unfortunately I had to let them go. They had full access to my lawn for two years and unfortunately as time went on, I notice that my wife and I were spending more and more time pulling weeds. Finally I had enough when we notice all of these bare spots showing up,( usually right after treatmen). I think the real problem is that they only come every other month which give weed time to germinate and grow again. Thier competition comes every month and is cheaper, and they also add a complimentary aeration once a year. Pioneer seems to be more interested in sales rather than the health and appearance of my lawn. Too bad. read more

I don't write many reviews, but after this mornings phone call from Pioneer Pest telling my account is on hold for non payment of services. I had to hold back the laughter, look at these photos and ask me what services they withheld? So after 18 months, look how great my lawn looks...NOT! I had managers out here many times and always with the "This is terrible, I'll get someone on it right away"....months later, nothing! It must have been nothing but water if anything they put down, so now I am collecting all our bills and I'll go after that plus expenses! Hired this firm for a new home we purchased in January to take care of yard and shrubs everywhere fertilize and other nutrients After 6 months and very little results we terminated them. Worst part was called manager and he returned my call one time but I wasn't available. I returned his call and he never bothered to call again. That coupled with the bad attitude of the technician when asked some questions meant they were only interested in the monthly stipend. Owned 12 houses with lawn care services and absolutely the worst result and worst customer service ever. Not even worth one star. read more

I have been a happy customer of Pioneer Pest Service for 13 years with the same technician for all that time and am very satisfied. I had a problem with indoor pests apparently from the garbage disposal and saw Greg for the first time in years when he came to investigate. (he usually sprays the pest tubes and around the house & I never know he's here!) He came in and identified the critters, sprayed all of the drains in the house and told me to call if that doesn't take care of it. I highly recommend this company. read more

I have been using pioneer for about 3 years now, we had a large outbreak of ticks in the back yard near water way. pioneer came out here after dealing with Orkin whom did not even touch the problem they could not contain the problem. fired Orkin and pioneer came out did 1st spray 10 days later did follow-up spray and have had no more problems. not going to lie had 2 Spanish men come to spray and they were gone in a flash, ants all in front yard . had no problem in a couple of years, I called pioneer and they sent out another gentleman which has done a good job. DO NOT USE this company. This company was hired as a third party when we hired Massey to do our tenting for termites. Their workers are incredibly lazy and incompetent. They arrived at our house late, and ended up making an excuse up about how they were not able to tent our house after we made accommodations for our family and our dog for 3 days, and cleaned the necessary items out of our house. We have a historic house and have limitations as to what we are able to do with our shrubbery. My husband cut back the shrubbery around the perimeter of the house to ensure the big tent would be able to meet the ground, however the workers decided to leave and go to Orlando for another job. After speaking with someone named Rick at this company, who he claims after seeing pictures of our landscaping, that his workers texted to him, he refused our business and told me he would not tell his workers to come back. They even had someone from their company inspect our house three weeks prior and said they could do the tent job. landlord called for free inspection. guy was 45 minutes late with no call or even apology. he smelled of cigarette smoke. he inspected my room and tossed my bed onto my windstream fan. he refused to tell us if the chemicals he was going to use was safe for pets or myself (im highly allergic) nor give us a single chemical to even look up unless we paid him. he said no company does that (liar). i said orkin has their chemicals on their website. so does frog and our current pest control. he said we were dumb for using organic powders. he also tried to intimidate my landlord into signing (luckily i was there). do NOT recommend! read more
