When is the last time you had hummingbird cake, or ever? You can get a huge slab to go for a little over $3. There was carrot cake and chocolate fudge layer and guess what? They are made from scratch and boxed to go! There are Mexican sodas in a barrel full of ice by the register to drink if you don't want a fountain soda. An array of cigarettes line the wall behind the register. There are several aisles of snacks and " I need that" items. Naturally, there is beer in the far back cooler along the East wall, complete with canned and bottled soda. Outside, diesel and gas pumps stand ready to fuel your vehicle before you head out to finish your destination. Trust me, I will be back again and again on my journey to and from OKC.

There is also a Golden Chick eatery inside, but it is temporarily shut down due to remodeling. We weren't here too long to check everything out, but what we did see was a little strange for a gas station. First off, I was running not walking to the restroom cause...you know this girl had to go! The restroom didn't smell bad, but there were wadded up paper towels on the counter, toilet paper on the floor and coming out of some of the stools. There was also a scale and a changing station in there. I couldn't get some of the faucets to work until I tried the very last one then BINGO we have a winner! Still not sure how I feel about those motion sensor things. By the time I came out, my husband had done fueled and was heading into the men's restroom, which he said was clean. I started looking around and taking pictures. Actually the store smelled clean. One of the employees was wiping down his counter, continuously spaying cleaner all over. I also saw the door to the Golden Chick that had been closed off with plastic hanging down from the ceiling, boards on the floor and with saw dust. Along with tons of fully stocked food, snacks and drinks was a corner filled with other products to purchase. Some of the items I've never seen before in a truck stop. The first to catch my eye was the white heads, for just $10.99 you can buy wig holders here! They also have very warm looking parkas.. aren't we about out of that season? There was also hats, sunglasses, purses, shirts, a kite on the wall that looks as though it didn't belong there along with the boxed up dolls at the top of the shelves holding the 2 lt. soda bottles and the wines. We didn't end up buying anything here except the fuel. Although I also want to mention that other than the guy that was so focused on cleaning his counter he didn't even bother recognizing us, the other employee closer to the entrance greeted us when we entered AND upon leaving with a big smile. He's kind of hidden where he's seated behind another counter, but seemed friendly and smiling...now if I was the manager, I'd have him up cleaning that women's restroom and putting up stock, maybe even putting away those winter outfits. This has most definitely been an interesting stop...just my two cents..

We came in bobtailing so it was no problem. The building is nice sized and filled with many options to choose from to eat. We got our fountain soda's first. It was great to see they had The Grill inside, where you can place orders on several electronic screens. We just wanted something quick for lunch. There were several places to get cold foods and the donuts were all sold out. We both opted for something hot and found the the restaurant inside has a tall hotbox filled with chicken strips and bites, pizza among some other food. We found our "x" tape on the floor and waited to get checked out. The cashier was polite, the store looked clean and pretty well stocked. I'd be happy to come back here if we needed to.

This location is about 2 hours north of the border of TX and OK. They boasted the cleanest bathrooms. I had to check it out. It was a decent sized gas station with a good amount of pumps. The huge dug statue out front is what I guess their mascot is. The outside was well maintained and clean. They also has gated off areas for dogs to run free and do their business. Inside was spacious with the usual things like snacks, coffee and fountain drink stations, roller dogs, and other gas station items. The real test was the bathroom. Was it the cleanest? Buc-ee's wins that competition. The air was a little rough in the bathroom and needed some better ventilation. Paper towels were littered on the floor, but that's equally the customer's fault too. OnCue seems to have the Oklahoma area covered quit well as I saw them quite a bit on my route. Overall, it was a good option on the route as well. I'd stop in on any of their locations again if in the area.
