I had a TERRIBLE experience…read more I hired Allied Flooring to renovate my bathroom following a flood. On the last day of the renovation (of which the estimated end date was continually pushed out day after day), they caused a pipe leak while removing the vanity. They put small pot under it and left for the entire day and night, causing it to flood the brand new bathroom, into my basement. The contractor installed the flooring over the SOAKED subfloor and didn't tell anyone until I showed up and saw it. They refused to hire emergency water mitigation, telling me they'd buy a fan at Home Depot. I called my insurance and got those services. After many emails and calls, the manager, Gary, would not give me the insurance information of the contractor. (Speaking of the contractor, a friend who was painting in the house heard the subcontractor bragging about how he only hires felons.) Anyway, I had to hire legal assistance to eventually get the owners attention to pay the insurance deductible for water mitigation. He claimed he never heard of the incident until I sent a legal letter demanding insurance information or payment. The day I contacted my insurance, the manager, Gary, went to see the damage. He was over an hour and a half late, and I had to leave before he got there. When I got back the next day, I saw they retaliated and had stolen tools given to me by my late father, and that they sawed my wall-mounted stainless steel paper towel holder in half and took the part they cut off. The house was empty aside from my tools, and "Danny" (the subcontractor) and Gary were the only people with access to the house. These people are dishonest thieves with no sense of personal or professional integrity. Stay far, far away.

This move we packed and BH Moving performed all the losing, unloading and moving from CT to ME right before Christmas. From Judy D. driving an hour and a half to meet at our home and provide us an accurate proposal, to changing the move dates due to weather, to the amazing crews that handled our possessions, all were absolutely FANTASTIC. On time, on budget, hardworking, respectful, careful and organized! Team lead Melissa (14 years with the company) was an incredible workhorse and was a great role model for hardworking Jake, Sean and Sean. Unusual in today's customer service world, they were all cheerful, polite and NEVER did we see them standing around checking their phones!!! Things of note: -The owner is in here most days cleaning and checking on things, so the property and machines are well taken care of. -The owner has his phone number printed on a pink card on every machine and lives nearby so he is available to expeditiously fix any issues that may come up. -Only on one occasion did I have an issue with a machine (it didn't drain the water from my clothes so when I opened the machine, they were all sopping wet still). I remedied this by just tossing my clothes in another washer and giving them another cleaning. I never experienced this issue again and have been there countless times since. -The machines only take coin (quarters) but there's a coin machine inside so bring your cash! -Plentiful seating, laundry baskets to transport clothes from washer to dryer, and folding tables. -The laundromat is reliant upon one ceiling fan to cool down the space so during the summer, it can get pretty hot. If you plan to stay while your load washes and dries, plan to bring a book and a cold drink then go sit outside on the steps outside to enjoy the breeze. Nice, helpful owner, clean space, well working machines... all in all, a good place to do your laundry! ($3.25/wash; $0.25/5min on the dryers)
